  • Colt Emerson SS | SEA

Mariners' Colt Emerson: Drives third homer

Emerson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 3-2 win over the Mets.

In a lefty-lefty matchup against Sean Manaea in the third inning, Emerson yanked an outside sweeper over the right-field fence for a solo homer to open the scoring. He has now gone deep in two of his past three games. The 20-year-old hasn't looked overmatched since being promoted, slashing .250/.340/.568 with three homers, three doubles, a triple, eight RBI and seven runs across 50 plate appearances.

  • Miguel Vargas 3B | CHW

White Sox's Miguel Vargas: Goes deep twice Monday

Vargas went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double and four total RBI in a loss to the Twins on Monday.

Though his production wasn't enough to guide Chicago to a victory, Vargas certainly made his fantasy managers happy. He belted a two-run blast in the fifth inning to pull the White Sox to within two runs and gave his team a glimmer of hope with another two-run shot in the ninth. Vargas had a strong May with seven home runs, 19 RBI and four stolen bases over 28 contests, and he's already gotten off to a blazing start to June. On the season, he's slashing .241/.366/.509 with 15 homers (tied for 10th-most in MLB), 38 RBI, 44 runs and nine steals through 59 games.

  • Tristan Gray SS | MIN

Twins' Tristan Gray: Slugs second grand slam of season

Gray went 1-for-3 with a grand slam and a sacrifice fly Monday in a 9-6 win against the White Sox.

Gray snapped a 1-1 tie in the fourth inning with a grand slam to right-center field. That was his fourth homer of the campaign, two of which have been grand slams. Gray seems to have become Minnesota's preferred choice at shortstop, as he's started at the position in each of the team's past seven games. He's gone 5-for-21 with two doubles, one homer, nine RBI and a stolen base over that span.

  • Caleb Durbin 3B | BOS

Red Sox's Caleb Durbin: Contributes to win

Durbin went 1-for-5 with a triple and two RBI in Sunday's 9-4 win over the Guaridans.

Durbin, who started just three times in a 10-game stretch from May 17 to May 27, has made an impact in four consecutive starts. He's knocked in runs in all four games while going 6-for-17 (.353) with three doubles, a triple and six RBI during that stretch. He used the recent downtime to work on hitting in the cage, per Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic. Durbin noted from his spray charts that he was cutting off half the field. "I think it's both a little bit of a mechanical adjustment as far as how I'm positioning my body to use the whole field and a little bit of approach, too," he said. His brutal season-opening slump is hard to forget with a small sample size of production, but Durbin may have turned a corner.

  • Rays' Junior Caminero: Reaches base four times in win

Caminero went 2-for-3 with a run scored and two walks in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Angels.

Although Caminero hasn't homered in 10 straight games, he has picked up multiple hits in three consecutive outings. The slugging third baseman has also hit safely in 12 of his last 13 contests. Through 247 plate appearances (56 games), Caminero is slashing a potent .278/.377/.500 with 13 home runs, eight doubles, 28 RBI and 34 runs scored.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

    Rangers' Josh Jung: Continues mashing

Jung went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 6-3 win over Kansas City.

Jung doubled and scored in the first inning, then plated two runners with a bases-loaded single in the fourth. He's had an impressive homestand, hitting safely in all six games while going 10-for-24 with four extra-base hits (two HRs), four RBI and six runs scored. Jung was moved to second in the batting order for the three-game set against the Royals and got five plate appearances in each contest.

  • Royals' Maikel Garcia: Set to be evaluated Monday

Garcia (hamstring) will be re-evaluated Monday, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.

Garcia suffered a right hamstring strain in Saturday's loss to the Rangers, and he was unavailable for Sunday's contest as a result. Manager Matt Quatraro provided an update Sunday, outing that the 26-year-old is "feeling better" and that the team is "not going to IL him right now." Garcia is expected to do some testing of his hamstring Monday, and Kansas City will see what direction it wants to go from there.

  • Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY

Yankees' Ryan McMahon: Idle against southpaw

McMahon is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

McMahon is in the midst of one of his best stretches of the season, having gone 9-for-29 (.310 average) with three home runs, one stolen base, six RBI and five runs over his last eight games. The Yankees will hold him out of the starting nine Sunday with southpaw Jacob Lopez on the hill, but the left-handed-hitting McMahon should continue to receive regular at-bats against right-handed pitching while he's swinging a hot bat.

  • Royals' Maikel Garcia: No decision yet on IL stint

Garcia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers as the Royals await test results on the right hamstring injury he suffered in Saturday's 7-6 loss, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Garcia sustained the injury in the seventh inning Saturday while running the bases and was immediately lifted. At this stage, the 26-year-old appears more likely than not to wind up on the IL, but the Royals are holding out hope that he's dealing with a low-grade strain that may cause him to miss just a few games.

  • Gage Workman 3B | DET

Tigers' Gage Workman: Returns to Triple-A

The Tigers optioned Workman to Triple-A Toledo on Sunday.

Workman ended up being the roster casualty when Kerry Carpenter (shoulder) was activated from the 10-day injured list Sunday. After being called up from Triple-A on May 10, Workman appeared in 16 games for Detroit but slashed just .158/.158/.553 with a 42.1 percent strikeout rate over 38 plate appearances.
