Orioles third baseman Manny Machado went 2 for 6 with a walkoff home run in the 12th inning of Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Angels.

Machado drove in his first run of the game on a double in the second inning. He delivered his walkoff blast as the leadoff batter in the 12th. Machado has hit .268/.314/.430 with 11 home runs and 27 RBI in 272 at-bats.

The Blue Jays have acquired infielder Danny Valencia from the Royals for minor-leaguers Erik Kratz and Liam Hendriks on Monday, the Royals announced. Valencia appeared in just 36 games for Kansas City and owned a .282/.328/.382 slash line with two homers and 11 RBI in 110 at-bats this season.

Athletics third baseman Josh Donaldson connected for his 22nd home run during a 5-1 win Saturday at Texas. Donaldson led off the seventh inning with a home run off Nate Adcock to give Oakland a 4-1 lead.

Donaldson has homered four times in July and three times in his last 12 games. He is batting .295 with a .545 slugging percentage, .930 OPS, two doubles, 10 RBI and 10 runs in his last 12 games.

Royals manager Ned Yost told reporters that Billy Butler will lose some time as a designated hitter moving forward, the Kansas City Star reports Thursday. Yost is expected to give Danny Valencia and Raul Ibanez some reps at DH in the near future.
