Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Hitting well since return to LA
Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run and a walk Monday in a 13-7 victory over San Diego.
Hernandez went deep in the sixth inning, swatting a solo shot to left-center field. It was his first long ball since rejoining the Dodgers as a result of a July 25 trade with the Red Sox. Hernandez has played regularly since returning to the National League and hit well, slashing .324/.350/.541 with five doubles, Monday's homer, seven RBI, five runs and a 2:3 BB:K over 40 plate appearances.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Scratched from lineup Tuesday
Rodgers was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Brewers, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
The reason for his removal from the lineup was not immediately available. Rodgers just made his season debut last week after suffering a shoulder injury in spring training. Alan Trejo will start at second base in Rodgers' absence.

Edouard Julien 2B | COL
Twins' Edouard Julien: On bench again versus lefty
Julien is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Detroit.
The Tigers are starting a lefty for the second day in a row, so Julien will again begin this one on the bench. Jorge Polanco will occupy second base, with Kyle Farmer covering third.

Jonathan India 2B | KC
Reds' Jonathan India: Unlikely to return Tuesday
India (foot) is unlikely to be activated off the 10-day injured list Tuesday, MLB.com reports.
An earlier report indicated India would be activated Tuesday, the first day the infielder is eligible. Reds manager David Bell said that India isn't dealing with a setback, but the club has scheduled India for additional running and batting practice. The goal is to have India ready for activation Friday, when Cincinnati kicks off a three-game road series in Pittsburgh.

Danny Mendick 3B | CHW
Mets' Danny Mendick: Enjoys big offensive effort Monday
Mendick went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and scored an additional run in an 11-2 rout of the Cubs on Monday.
Pete Alonso powered the Mets with two homers early, and Mendick provided the icing on the cake with a three-run shot in the seventh inning that made the score 10-2. The long ball was the first of the campaign for Mendick and just his 11th in 440 career at-bats. The 29-year-old started at third base Monday in the wake of Brett Baty being sent down to the minors, and Mendick could operate in the short side of a platoon with Mark Vientos at the hot corner moving forward.

Cavan Biggio RF | HOU
Blue Jays' Cavan Biggio: Goes deep Monday
Biggio went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in a 3-1 win against the Guardians on Monday.
In a contest that featured little offense, Biggio provided the biggest hit with a two-run shot in the eighth inning that broke a scoreless tie. The long ball snapped a 20-game homerless streak for Biggio that dated back to June 25. It's been a mostly forgettable campaign for the 28-year-old, as he's slashing a quiet .213/.295/.396 with eight homers, 22 RBI, 29 runs and three stolen bases over 183 plate appearances.

Tony Kemp 2B | MIN
Athletics' Tony Kemp: Hitless in return
Kemp (rib) went 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers.
Kemp left Wednesday's game with a rib issue but was able to return after missing a handful of games. He got the start in left field and played all nine defensive innings there before Esteury Ruiz hit for him in the bottom of the ninth. Kemp should be good to resume his usual role going forward. He's slashing .215/.304/.308 with three home runs, 22 RBI, 34 runs scored and a career-high 12 stolen bases through 91 contests.

Brice Turang 2B | MIL
Brewers' Brice Turang: Fills box score Monday
Turang went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and a stolen base in Monday's 12-1 win over the Rockies.
Turang did a little bit of everything in this productive effort. He's hit well in August, going 9-for-20 (.450) with two homers, three steals and seven RBI over seven contests this month. The infielder is now slashing .225/.297/.345 with six homers, 14 steals, 27 RBI, 28 runs scored, eight doubles and three triples over 296 plate appearances this season. He got the start at shortstop Monday with Willy Adames resting, but Turang has seen the bulk of his playing time at second base lately.

Whit Merrifield 2B | ATL
Blue Jays' Whit Merrifield: Gets day off
Merrifield is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.
Merrifield will get his first day off since July 1, joining Kevin Kiermaier (elbow), Alejandro Kirk and Santiago Espinal as the Blue Jays' reserve position players for the series opener. With Merrifield resting, Cavan Biggio will enter the lineup at second base while rookie Davis Schneider starts in left field and takes over as the Blue Jays' leadoff hitter.

Coco Montes 2B | TB
Rockies' Coco Montes: Optioned to Triple-A
Montes was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Montes heads back to Albuquerque after being recalled July 31. The 26-year-old saw no action and road the bench for the six games he was active for. In a corresponding move, Cole Tucker was called up from Triple-A.
