Frazier was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday with a hamstring strain.

Frazier was hitting .306 with a home run and five RBI through 15 games this season. Pitching prospect Dovydas Neverauskas has been promoted from Triple-A to fill his roster spot. It's unclear how long Frazier will be sidelined with the injury, though more should be known once the Pirates update his status. For the time being, Jose Osuna should see most of the reps in right field, but an outside move could be in the making if Frazier needs to miss extended time.

Arroyo had his contract purchased from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Arroyo will join the Giants as Aaron Hill heads to the disabled list in a corresponding move. He's set to bat sixth and play third base in his big-league debut Monday. The Giants' top prospect has been mashing in Triple-A this season, working a triple slash of .446/.478/.692 through 69 at-bats (16 games). It's unclear how long he'll remain with the big club, but if his production is able to carry over, it will be difficult to keep his bat out of the majors.

Frazier is out of the lineup Monday against the Cubs.

The Pirates are facing a left-handed starter for the second day in a row, so Frazier will once again cede duties in right field to Jose Osuna. Frazier should still be on tap to serve as the club's leadoff hitter against right-handed pitching for the duration of Starling Marte's (suspension) absence.

Motter went 2-for-5 with a double and a grand slam in Sunday's 11-1 win over the Athletics.

Motter gave the Mariners a 6-0 lead in the third with the first grand slam of his career, a 389-foot shot to left center. It was Motter's fifth home run on the season, all of which have come in the last 11 games. The 27-year-old utility man continues to draw starts at shortstop in place of Jean Segura (hamstring), but with Leonys Martin having been designated for assignment Sunday, Motter could presumably split time in left field with Guillermo Heredia once Segura returns.

Dubon has gone 14-for-40 (.350) with a home run, seven RBI and six stolen bases over his last 10 games with Double-A Biloxi.

Dubon tallied just five hits and one steal over his first seven games of the season, but it didn't take him long to get on track. He's playing for the Brewers for the first time this year after being acquired from the Red Sox during the offseason, and Dubon is considered one of the better prospects in a quality farm system.

Green was outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.

The Nats designated Green for assignment earlier in the week but Green will remain in the Washington system, having passed through waivers unclaimed. A first-round pick in 2009, Green is merely an organizational depth piece. He has totaled 353 plate appearances in parts of five seasons at the major-league level (97 plate appearances since the start of the 2015 season).

Altuve went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs during Sunday's win over Tampa Bay.

The Houston spark plug hit his first home run of the season Saturday, so it's encouraging to see him follow it up with another shot Sunday. His five-category production is especially tough to find at the keystone position, and Altuve is well on his way to another sterling fantasy campaign with 11 runs, two homers, seven RBI, seven stolen bases and a .324/.393/.459 slash line.

Espinosa is out of the lineup Sunday against the Blue Jays, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Espinosa has gone 0-for-11 with five strikeouts over the last three games, so manager Mike Scioscia will give the veteran a rest for just the second time all season. Cliff Pennington will fill in at second base and bat ninth in the order.

Andrus will start at shortstop and bat in the cleanup spot Sunday against the Royals.

After recording eight extra-base hits in his first nine games of the season, Andrus has cooled off in the power department, but that won't prevent manager Jeff Banister from giving him a look in the heart of the lineup. Expect Andrus to move back to either the No. 2 or 6 spot in the order during the series opener with the Twins on Monday, when Mike Napoli is expected to reclaim cleanup duties following a one-game rest.

Merrifield will start at second base and occupy the leadoff spot for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.

With Alex Gordon struggling to provide much of an impact at the top of the order, manager Ned Yost will give Merrifield a look in the leadoff spot, though it's unclear if the experiment will last more than one game. Even if Merrifield is moved down in the order in subsequent contests, he at least seems to have a steady hold on the everyday gig at second base with Raul Mondesi having been banished to Triple-A Omaha. Through five games since he was promoted to the big leagues, Merrifield has gone 5-for-15 with a homer, a stolen base and two RBI.
