The Marlins acquired Bostick from the Pirates for cash Sunday, Jon Heyman of FancredSports.com reports.

Bostick was designated for assignment Tuesday by the Pirates just after an uneventful stint in the majors. The 25-year-old had a .295/.351/.436 slash line with Triple-A Indianapolis this season, and should report to Triple-A New Orleans with his new organization.

Herrera got his first outfield start Saturday against the Diamondbacks, starting in left field, Grant Freking of MLB.com reports. "Most guys who play the infield can catch a fly ball. We want him to [catch] it and get it back into the cut-off man," interim manager Jim Riggleman said. "It's a little bit of experimentation. As much as we're trying to win ballgames, we've got to find out about some guys, too."

Herrera went 0-for-2 with a walk in the game, and looked competent in the field. Herrera's big issue is that there's no room for him in the infield, now or in the future, with Nick Senzel likely making it to the big club in 2019.

McNeil is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

McNeil heads to the bench after starting the last seven games, as he has one hit in his last 18 plate appearances despite not striking out once. Jose Reyes draws the start at second base against Wei-Yin Chen and the Marlins.

Solarte (oblique) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

As expected, the versatile infielder will head to the DL to rehab an oblique injury he incurred in Saturday's contest. No timetable for his return has been announced yet, but oblique injuries are notorious for taking more than the minimum 10 days to heal. Catching prospect Danny Jansen will replace him on the active roster.

Semien went 3-for-5 with two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's win over the Angels.

Semien touched up Tyler Skaggs twice, first in the second inning and then again in the fourth. He had been in the midst of a major power outage coming into Saturday, with his last home run coming all the way back on June 17. At least he's contributing something in the stolen-base department (12), and Semien will continue to get chances to lead off against left-handed pitching.

Solarte is likely to be placed on the 10-day disabled list after sustaining an injury to his right oblique Saturday, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.

Solarte departed early from Saturday's action and will need time to nurse the cause of that exit. Toronto should expand on the extent of the injury and the versatile infielder's timetable soon, but oblique injuries often force players to miss more than the minimum time on the DL.

Solarte left Saturday's game against the Rays with a right oblique injury, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.

The nature and severity of the injury are not yet known but should become clearer after diagnostic tests later in the day. Richard Urena entered the game as the Blue Jays' third baseman.

Rosario went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Friday's 6-2 win over the Marlins.

Mets manager Mickey Callaway continues to ride with Rosario as his leadoff hitter in an effort to force the youngster to focus on working the count and making contact, and at least for one day, the experiment paid off. The 22-year-old still only has a .235/.278/.349 slash line on the season, however, including a .219/.257/.250 performance over eight games in August.

Andrus went 4-for-5 with three RBI and a pair of runs scored in Friday's victory over the Yankees.

Andrus was trouble throughout the game. He singled and scored in the fourth, hit a two-RBI double in the fifth, grabbed an RBI single in the sixth and finally singled and scored in the eighth. In his last 12 games, the shortstop has hit .362 with 11 runs and eight RBI.

Solarte is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rays, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Solarte will head to the bench after starting the last five games, and is slashing only .194/.236/.269 with three extra-base hits since the All-Star break. Richard Urena will start at third base and bat eighth against left-hander Blake Snell and the Rays.
