Nicky Lopez 2B | TEX
Royals' Nicky Lopez: On bench versus lefty
Lopez is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Orioles, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Lopez went 0-for-3 with a walk and run during the matinee, and he'll head to the bench with lefty Bruce Zimmermann pitching in Game 2 for Baltimore. Bobby Witt will shift to shortstop while Emmanuel Rivera starts at the hot corner.

Luis Rengifo LF | SD
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Up with big-league club
Rengifo was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday.
The 25-year-old missed out on the Angels' Opening Day roster but will now join the big club with David Fletcher (hip) heading to the injured list. Rengifo has a .313/.384/.525 slash line with four home runs in 24 games for Salt Lake this season, and he should fill a utility role while up with the Halos.

Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Steps out of lineup
Estrada is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Estrada has started all 27 games at second base this season but will receive the day off for the series finale versus St. Louis. Mauricio Dubon will man the keystone in his place Sunday.

Tony Kemp 2B | MIN
Athletics' Tony Kemp: Gets Sunday off
Kemp is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.
Kemp continued his extended slump in Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Twins, going hitless with two strikeouts in four at-bats. He's now slashing .116/.152/.140 dating back to April 22, and though he appears to have a hold on an everyday role at second base, expect Kemp to sink in the lineup if he returns to the starting nine for Monday's doubleheader with the Tigers. The Athletics reinstated Ramon Laureano (suspension) from the restricted list Sunday, and he could end up displacing Kemp as the team's preferred leadoff man against both right- and left-handed pitching.

Andres Gimenez SS | TOR
Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Records steal in nightcap
Gimenez went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in an 8-2 win over the Blue Jays in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.
Gimenez sat out the matinee but manned second base in the nightcap. He's earned a regular role in the lineup as the primary second baseman, posting multiple hits in six of his last nine games. The infielder is slashing .348/.352/.536 with two home runs, 15 RBI, eight runs scored and a pair of stolen bases in 71 plate appearances. He's added two triples and three doubles. Gimenez is known for his speed more than his power, so his 1.4 percent walk rate is a little concerning.

Brandon Drury 2B | KC
Reds' Brandon Drury: Enters series finale with hot bat
Drury will start at third base and serve as the Reds' No. 2 hitter in Sunday's game against the Pirates.
Drury enters the series finale with a four-game RBI streak, which he extended during his big performance in Saturday's doubleheader split with Pittsburgh. After going 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI in the Reds' 9-2 win in Game 1, Drury followed up by going 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, four RBI, two runs and a walk in the Reds' 8-5 loss in the nightcap. He'll stick in the lineup for the 11th game in a row and should have a good case for maintaining an everyday role even if Joey Votto (illness) and Nick Senzel (illness) are able to return from the COVID-19 injured list during the upcoming week. Once those two players are back in action, Drury could settle in as the Reds' regular second baseman while Jonathan India (hamstring) is on the shelf.
-
Owen Miller 2B | CHC
Guardians' Owen Miller: Productive in doubleheader
Miller went 3-for-7 with a double, a walk, three RBI and two runs scored during Saturday's doubleheader versus the Blue Jays.
Miller hit cleanup in both games, drawing one start at first base and the other at second. The infielder's versatility and strong hitting over the first month of the season have made him a regular presence in the lineup. He's gone 4-for-18 in May, but his overall slash line is at .353/.432/.588 with two home runs, 11 RBI, 18 runs scored and 10 doubles through 21 contests.
-
Amed Rosario 3B | NYY
Guardians' Amed Rosario: Resting Sunday
Rosario is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.
Rosario will get a breather for the series finale after he started at shortstop in both ends of Saturday's doubleheader while going a collective 1-for-8 with two runs and a walk. Andres Gimenez will cover shortstop in Rosario's stead, while Owen Miller shifts over from first base to cover Gimenez's normal post at the keystone.
-
Josh Rojas 3B | KC
Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Not starting Sunday
Rojas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Rockies.
Rojas was activated from the injured list Friday and started the past two games at third base, and he'll receive a day off after going 2-for-7 with a walk, a run and a strikeout. Geraldo Perdomo will man the hot corner in his place during the series finale.

Mauricio Dubon LF | ATL
Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Homers, scores four runs Saturday
Dubon went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and four total runs in Saturday's 13-7 victory against St. Louis.
Dubon made an early impact with a second-inning two-run homer that gave San Francisco a three-run lead. He had already scored in the first frame after reaching base on an infield single. The long ball was the first of the campaign for Dubon, who has mostly struggled this season to the the tune of a .182/.200/.303 slash line across 35 plate appearances.
