Gimenez went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in a 4-1 win over the White Sox during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

He went 0-for-5 in the nightcap of the twin bill. The steal was Gimenez's first since June 24 and his seventh of the season, but the 23-year-old has been struggling to string together hits lately -- he has only one multi-hit performance over his last 16 games, slashing .184/.317/.265 during that stretch.

Marte was given a rest day in Tuesday's 13-0 loss to the Giants, one day after legging out a double-play groundball, Jose M. Romero of the Arizona Republic reports. He was available off the bench.

Limited to designated hitter the last three weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury that continues to linger, Marte hustled to avoid grounding into a double play Monday, which may have been the reason for Tuesday's off day. "He's giving it all he can," Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said. "We're trying to have him slow down, but he gave us everything he could. It was a big, big play. You know, we talked about winning inches here. That was one." Lovullo mentioned earlier this week that Marte may get back onto the field in a game before the All-Star break.

Semien went 2-for-6 with a two-run home run and an RBI double in a 14-7 loss to the Athletics on Tuesday.

Semien jumped on Oakland starter James Kaprielian early with a two-run long ball in the first inning and tacked on an RBI double to tie the game in the 10th. The homer was the 31-year-old's fourth of July and 11th since the beginning of June after he connected on just one through May. Semien is slashing .238/.293/.399 with 47 runs, 42 RBI and 14 stolen bases to go along with the 12 home runs.

Altuve went 1-for-3 with a pair of walks, an RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Angels.

Altuve has a hit in every game he's appeared in during July, going 14-for-37 (.378) in 10 games this month. He's added two steals, two home runs, seven RBI and eight runs scored in that span. The second baseman has started to look more like his past self with the steady hitting atop the order. He's now slashing .280/.372/.534 with seven steals, 17 long balls, 33 RBI and 47 runs scored in 70 contests overall.

Estrada went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 13-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

Estrada hit a solo shot in the third inning and a two-run blast in the seventh. He's popped three of his nine homers this year in his last three games. The 26-year-old infielder has added a .259/.311/.421 slash line with 36 RBI, 44 runs scored and 12 stolen bases through 75 contests. Estrada continues to be a steady presence in the lineup against southpaws, though he's sat against both right-handers the Giants have faced since he returned from the COVID-19 injured list.

Torres went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and a walk in a 4-3 loss to the Reds on Tuesday.

With Aaron Judge getting a day of rest, Torres had a nice night at the plate hitting out of the second spot. His two doubles give him 18 on the season to go along with a solid .827 OPS. The 25-year-old second baseman has been on a tear lately. Torres came into the game slashing .419/.486/.516 over his first seven games of July.

India went 2-for-5 with a double, a two-RBI single and a stolen base in a 4-3 win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

India came up with a big game-winning, two-RBI base hit in the top of the ninth against a stellar Yankees bullpen to give his team the 4-3 win. He had doubled and stolen third off Gerrit Cole earlier in the game for his second steal of the year. The performance is one of the few bright spots for India this season. The 25-year-old's sophomore campaign has failed to duplicate the success he found in 2021, and he is slashing a miserable .221/.273/.321 on the season. However, India has been mildly better in recent days and has hits in five of his past six games. If India is going to be an effective leadoff hitter for the Reds, he is going to have to raise his 2.8 percent walk rate.

Kim (thumb) went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a walk and an RBI in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Rockies.

Kim missed the last two games with a nagging thumb injury. He was the only Padre to record any extra-base hits in this contest, including his RBI double to open the scoring in the second inning. The shortstop has posted multiple hits in four of his nine games in July, going 9-for-24 (.375). He's slashing .239/.330/.364 with five home runs, 28 RBI, 33 runs scored, four stolen bases and 14 doubles through 79 contests overall.

Marte is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.

Daulton Varsho will step in as Arizona's designated hitter, the spot Marte has exclusively occupied since returning to action June 21 after a stint on the injured list due to a Grade 1 hamstring strain. Manager Torey Lovullo recently suggested that Marte could soon be ready to play second base, with the Diamondbacks ideally breaking him back into the infield at some point over their final few games before the All-Star break.

Rodgers is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Garrett Hampson will get a look at second base while Rodgers heads to the bench for the first time since May 25, ending a streak of 43 consecutive starts. The 25-year-old's horrendous April looks to be a distant memory at this point; in the two-plus months since, he's slashed .290/.337/.472 with eight home runs, 41 RBI and 36 runs in 62 games.
