Nick Gonzales 2B | PIT
Pirates' Nick Gonzales: Struggling with whiffs
Gonzales is hitting .214/.287/.419 with five home runs, three steals, 11 RBI and 13 runs through 29 games for High-A Greensboro.
The No. 7 overall pick in the 2020 draft, Gonzales was an excellent college hitter, but he hasn't had an easy adjustment to pro ball. He's struck out at a troubling rate -- 34.1 percent -- and it's only gotten worse lately. Over his last seven games, Gonzales has gone 2-for-28 (both singles) with 15 strikeouts and two walks. He'll likely need to address those swing-and-miss issues and pick up the pace before he's able to advance to a higher level of the minors.

Nolan Gorman 2B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Smacks first Triple-A homer
Gorman went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run in Triple-A Memphis' win over Norfolk on Wednesday.
The promising prospect had experienced a rough landing at the Triple-A level since his arrival from Double-A Springfield on June 28, as he'd hit just .103 and struck out at a 31.7 percent clip over his first 10 games with the Redbirds. However, Wednesday's three-hit night snapped that funk in grand fashion and gave Gorman his 12th homer of the minor-league season overall.

Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Returns from injured list
Garcia (undisclosed) was reinstated from the 7-day minor-league injured list Tuesday, Matt Weyrich of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Garcia had been out since June 25 due to an unspecified injury, but he returned to the lineup at Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday and went 0-for-3. The 21-year-old should be available for the minor-league club going forward and could return to the big-league roster at some point.

Liover Peguero SS | PIT
Pirates' Liover Peguero: Modest results in High-A
Peguero is hitting .255/.326/.430 with six home runs, 11 steals, 19 RBI and 32 runs for High-A Greensboro.
July has not been kind to the 20-year-old shortstop, who's gone just 5-for-34 with a single homer and 14 strikeouts in 40 plate appearances this month. Peguero has an intriguing combination of plus speed and roughly average pop, but his strikeout rate has spiked to 26.2 percent this season -- not ideal for a guy who's supposed to have a great feel for contact. Since he's a solid defender who should have a good chance to stick at shortstop, it's okay if Peguero's offensive game develops a little slower, but if his speed falls off as he ages, that'll limit his future fantasy value.

Josh Rojas 3B | CHW
Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: On base four times
Rojas went 3-for-4 with a double, run, walk and caught stealing in a 7-4 loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.
Rojas got on in the first, third, fifth and ninth innings for his second game reaching base four times this season. The versatile 27-year-old is slashing .256/.337/.424 and has made appearances at five different positions in the season's first half, helping Rojas play in an impressive 87 games thus far.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Pirates' Adam Frazier: Contributes three hits
Frazier went 3-for-5 in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Mets.
The contact-hitting second baseman supplied three singles from the top of the order, although he wasn't directly involved in any scoring plays. Frazier finished the first half with a .330/.397/.463 slash line, four home runs, 29 RBI, 53 runs scored and five stolen bases. He'll start for the National League at second base in the All-Star Game after winning the fan vote in the midst of his best major-league season.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Remains out of lineup Sunday
Rodgers (illness) remains out of the starting lineup Sunday against the Padres after being scratched Saturday, Daniel Guerrero of MLB.com reports.
Rodgers was a late removal from Saturday's lineup due to some stomach issues, and the infielder still appears to be feeling sick Sunday. He'll get an extra day off prior to the All-Star break as he looks to return to the lineup Friday against the Dodgers.

Gavin Lux SS | TB
Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Drives in three
Lux went 1-for-4 with a triple, three RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 22-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
Lux was held out of the lineup Saturday, but thanks to the Dodgers racing out to an early 9-0 lead, multiple starters were pulled from the contest early. That allowed Lux to receive a relative normal load of at-bats in a bench role, and he was able to match his RBI total from his prior 18 games combined when he tripled with the bases loaded in the eighth inning. The 23-year-old infielder is now slashing .233/.316/.361 across 301 plate appearances on the season.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Scratched Saturday
Rodgers was scratched from Saturday's starting lineup against the Padres due to illness, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.
Trevor Story was also a late removal from the lineup due to soreness from a HBP on Friday. Garrett Hampson and Chris Owings will start at second base and shortstop, respectively. Rodgers can be considered questionable for Sunday's series finale.

Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Racks up four hits
Estrada went 4-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored Saturday against Washington.
Estrada continued to produce offensively for the Giants, putting together the first four-hit game of his major-league career while driving in a trio of runs. The 25-year-old owns a .360/.429/.520 slashing line in his 28 plate appearances this season, providing a boost to a San Francisco squad that currently has multiple infielders on the injured list.
