  • Yandy Diaz DH | TB

Rays' Yandy Diaz: Day off Sunday

Diaz (forearm) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's contest against the Orioles, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Diaz was hit by a pitch in the ninth inning of Saturday's game, and although he was reported to be alright, it appears the Rays will give him a day off Sunday ahead of the All-Star break. Isaac Paredes will take over at third base and bat fifth versus the Orioles.

  • Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE

Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Blasts 19th homer

Hoskins went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 10-0 win over the Marlins.

Six of Hoskins' 19 home runs this season have come within the past three weeks, but he's produced only seven RBI during that stretch. Part of the problem is that Hoskins has typically slotted in as the No. 2 hitter of late behind leadoff man Kyle Schwarber, who has gotten on base at a poor .209 clip in 16 games dating back to June 29.

  • Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY

Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Scores three times in win

Rizzo went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs Saturday in the Yankees' 14-1 win over the Red Sox. He was also hit by a pitch.

Rizzo has failed to produce a home run in his last nine games, but he's gotten on base at a .378 clip over that stretch to ensure the prolific Yankees offense keeps humming. He came around to score each time he reached base Saturday, with Matt Carpenter driving him in each time as part of a seven-RBI day.

  • Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Mashes third homer

Pasquantino went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Pasquantino went deep off Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano in the top of the 10th inning with a two-run blast off the foul pole that cashed in the automatic runner from second. The two-hit game lifted Pasquantino's average to .206 on the season. The 24-year-old rookie has had some difficulty adjusting to the big leagues since being called up from Triple-A on June 29, but he has begun to show some signs of life by hitting two home runs over the past week. The highly-touted prospect is expected to play first base every day for the Royals over the second half of the season, and there could be plenty more power production waiting in his bat.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Three-hit day

Guerrero went 3-for-4 with an RBI double and a run scored in a 6-5 extra-inning win over the Royals on Saturday.

Guerrero came up big with the Blue Jays down two runs in the bottom of the 10th by doubling in George Springer from second and then racing in to score on a Raimel Tapia single to tie the game. The three-hit performance for Guerrero lifted his average to a healthy .268 on the season to go along with 20 home runs. The 23-year-old's numbers are still down from his incredible breakout season last year, but he is just a second-half hot streak away from his stat line looking elite.

  • Josh Naylor 1B | SEA

Guardians' Josh Naylor: Smacks 13th homer

Naylor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 10-0 win over the Tigers.

Naylor has homered twice in his last three games and five times in his last 15. The 25-year-old provided an insurance run in the fourth inning of Saturday's blowout win. Naylor continues to hit well with a .274/.328/.507 slash line, 13 homers, 47 RBI, 28 runs scored, a stolen base and 13 doubles through 62 contests this year. He's a near-everyday presence in the Guardians' lineup against right-handed pitchers.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Drills 13th homer

Freeman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs scored in Saturday's 7-1 win over the Angels.

He was aboard for Max Muncy's three-run blast in the third, and he followed up with a homer of his own in the fifth. Freeman has hit safely in eight straight games, going 18-for-32 (.563) in that scorching span over the last week-plus. The first baseman is up to a stellar .321/.397/.530 slash line with 14 homers, 60 RBI, 62 runs scored and seven stolen bases through 90 contests. He's also hit 31 doubles this year, ranking second in the majors behind Atlanta's Matt Olson (33).

  • Luke Voit 1B | NYM

Padres' Luke Voit: Launches three-run homer

Voit went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Voit put the Padres ahead with his sixth-inning blast. He's gone 2-for-8 across his last two games after snapping an 0-for-18 skid at the plate. That dry spell has caused his slash line to sag to .219/.309/.404 in 298 plate appearances. The slugger has added 11 homers -- matching his total from 68 contests last season -- with 39 RBI, 32 runs scored, a stolen base and 15 doubles through 71 games.

  • Giants' Wilmer Flores: Scores winning run

Flores went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Brewers.

Flores' lone hit Saturday was an eighth-inning single, and he came around to score when reliever Jandel Gustave committed a balk with the bases loaded. That proved to be the decisive run in the contest. Flores was out of the lineup for two games with calf soreness, and he was able to return only as the designated hitter Saturday. The versatile infielder has enjoyed some of the best health on the Giants this year, slashing .253/.336/.446 with 13 home runs, 50 RBI, 46 runs scored and 17 doubles through 330 plate appearances. The upcoming All-Star break should allow him enough rest to fully recover.

  • Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Homer, three RBI in victory

Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and one additional RBI in Saturday's victory over the Reds.

The starting first baseman for the National League All-Star team, Goldschmidt is now up to 20 home runs, and his OPS is over 1.000 for the season (1.004). Since Goldschmidt is playing Tuesday, the Cardinals may look to rest him Sunday.
