Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Launches three-run homer in loss
Guerrero went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's extra-inning loss to the Phillies.
Guerrero provided all the offense for the Blue Jays in Wednesday's contest, launching a three-run shot off Seranthony Dominguez in the top of the eighth inning. The homer was his 30th of the year and third in his last seven games. Guerrero also extended his hit streak to 14 consecutive games in the contest, batting .306 with three homers, five doubles, seven RBI, nine runs and a stolen base over that span.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Rockies' C.J. Cron: Leaves game early
Cron left Wednesday's game against the Giants early after being hit by a pitch, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Cron was replaced by Elehuris Montero after getting hit in the hand by a pitch in the fourth inning. The Rockies are officially calling it a left hand contusion after x-rays came back negative. More updates will come as his status becomes clearer, but for now he should be considered day-to-day.

Kyle Manzardo 1B | CLE
Rays' Kyle Manzardo: Rakes in Double-A to close out 2022
Manzardo hit .327/.405/.582 with five home runs and a 14:19 BB:K across 29 games to finish out the season following his promotion to Double-A Montgomery.
That's almost as good as what he did at High-A Bowling Green before being promoted (.329/.436/.636). He finishes the 2022 regular season with 22 homers and 81 RBI in 93 games across the two levels, not to mention nearly as many walks (59) as strikeouts (65). The 21-year-old Manzardo could very well crack the majors at some point next year.

Yandy Diaz DH | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Dealing with shoulder soreness
Diaz isn't starting Wednesday against the Astros due to left shoulder soreness, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Diaz is on the bench for a second consecutive matchup Wednesday, but his absence from Tuesday's lineup was partially due to the fact that he got into an altercation with teammate Randy Arozarena in the parking lot following Monday's game. It's not yet clear whether Diaz will be available off the bench Wednesday, but he should tentatively be considered day-to-day.

Gabriel Arias 3B | CLE
Guardians' Gabriel Arias: Called up by Guardians
Arias was recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday.
Arias has had brief stints with the big-league club this year, and he hit .105 with two runs, an RBI, a walk and eight strikeouts over six games. He'll rejoin the Guardians after Ernie Clement was designated for assignment, but Arias will likely have to settle for a depth role.

Spencer Steer 1B | CIN
Reds' Spencer Steer: Dealing with eye issue
Steer was removed from Wednesday's lineup against the Red Sox due to an eye infection, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Steer was scratched from the lineup a few hours prior to the start of Wednesday's game, but it's possible that he'll be available off the bench. The 24-year-old should be considered day-to-day for now.

Alfonso Rivas 1B | STL
Cubs' Alfonso Rivas: Riding pine Wednesday
Rivas isn't starting Wednesday against the Marlins.
Rivas has started against just three left-handed pitchers this season, and he'll get a breather with southpaw Jesus Luzardo on the mound Wednesday. P.J. Higgins is starting at first base and batting seventh.

Spencer Steer 1B | CIN
Reds' Spencer Steer: Gets scratched from starting nine
Steer was scratched from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox due to an unspecified reason.
Steer had been slated to start at shortstop, but he'll instead be on the bench for the second game in a row, which likely hints that he's dealing with an injury or illness. Stuart Fairchild was added to the starting nine as a replacement of Steer, who can be viewed as day-to-day until the Reds provide an explanation for why the rookie was scratched.

Evan White 1B | LAA
Mariners' Evan White: Sidelined at Triple-A
Triple-A Tacoma placed White on its 7-day injured list Sept. 10 with hip discomfort, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
White has been sidelined nearly all season after requiring sports hernia surgery in March and then experiencing hip soreness in early June while on a rehab assignment. The 26-year-old returned to action in early August and was eventually reinstated from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A after his 30-day rehab window expired. White had gone 8-for-27 with three home runs and three walks over his last seven games at Tacoma to potentially put himself in the mix for a late-season call-up to Seattle, but the renewed hip discomfort likely ends those hopes.
