Noda is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Astros.

Noda will take a seat as the Athletics face off with left-hander Framber Valdez on the mound. Righty bat Jesus Aguilar will take over at first base and bat fifth against Houston.

Vaughn went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored Friday against the Tigers.

Vaughn played a significant role in the White Sox's 12-run outburst Friday, highlighted by a two-run homer. He hasn't had a power breakout -- that was his sixth home run of the season -- but he's quietly putting together strong counting-stat production, as Friday's effort marked his fourth multi-RBI performance in his last 18 games. That should continue despite the fact that Vaughn is hitting only .237, as he's hitting regularly in the heart of the team's order -- most recently fifth.

Diaz went 3-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run, two doubles, an additional run scored and an additional RBI in Friday's 9-3 victory over the Dodgers.

Diaz returned to the top of the lineup Friday after missing a few days while tending to a personal matter, and he picked up right where he left off. Across 17 games in May, Diaz is slashing .355/.459/.710 with five home runs, 13 RBI and 14 runs scored, and on the season, he boasts an impressive .333/.435/.635 slash line, which would all be career highs. The 31-year-old is also just two homers away from tying his career high of 14, which he set in 2019.

Santana went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 11-6 win over the Mariners.

Santana spent part of 2022 with the Mariners, launching 15 homers in 79 contests with the club. His power didn't follow him to Pittsburgh -- this was his third homer in 198 plate appearances as a Pirate, though he's maintained a near-everyday role at first base. He's shown some life lately by hitting safely in nine of his last 12 games, but he hasn't logged a multi-hit effort since May 4. Santana is slashing .234/.328/.368 with 24 RBI, five stolen bases, 20 runs scored and a solid, but still career-worst, 12.6 percent walk rate in 47 games this season.

Casas went 3-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 7-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Casas had gone 10 games without a multi-hit effort entering Friday, and he was batting just .185 in that span. While it didn't erase his quiet start to the year, this was a positive effort from the first baseman. He's still hitting a meager .197 with a .700 OPS, six home runs, six doubles, 16 RBI and 21 runs scored through 44 contests. Until he can find some consistency, he's likely to be out of the lineup versus most left-handed pitchers.

Tellez isn't in the Brewers' lineup Friday against San Francisco.

Southpaw Alex Wood will take the mound Friday for the Giants, so the Brewers will sit Tellez. Instead, Mike Brosseau will pick up a start at first base and bat seventh.

Colorado optioned Toglia to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Toglia has posted high-level power totals in the minors and showed some promise during his first taste of major-league action last season, but he was slashing just .174/.240/.217 in 25 plate appearances with the Rockies since being recalled May 15. Nolan Jones will join the big-league club in a corresponding roster move.

Pratto isn't in the Royals' lineup Friday against the Nationals.

The Nationals will begin Friday with lefty Patrick Corbin on the mound, so the left-handed Pratto will retreat to the bench. In his place, Edward Olivares will start in left field and bat sixth.

Diaz (personal) is back in the lineup for Friday's contest against the Dodgers, Kristie Ackert of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Diaz rejoined the Rays on Thursday after missing two games while tending to a personal matter, but this is his first start since Monday. He's batting leadoff and playing first base against Noah Syndergaard.

Gurriel went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, an RBI and a run scored in Thursday's loss to the Rockies.

Gurriel is now 10-for-16 with three extra-base hits (including two triples) in his last four games. He'd gone just 4-for-33 in his previous nine contests. The veteran first baseman is holding down a regular role for now as injuries in the outfield open up the DH spot for Garrett Cooper. Through 117 plate appearances this year, Gurriel is slashing a solid .299/.342/.458 with three home runs, 11 RBI and two stolen bases.
