Freeman went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and an RBI in Sunday's 3-0 victory versus the Rays.

Freeman extended his on-base streak to 19 contests, a span in which he's batting .315 (23-for-73) with two homers and 13 RBI. He's been even hotter across the Dodgers' past two series -- in six games against the Reds and Rays, he went 12-for-25 (.480 batting average) with eight runs batted in. Freeman seems to be past the uncharacteristic cold stretch that saw him bat just .163 over 12 contests from July 4 to July 20. He's pushed his batting average back to up .306, which is the second-highest mark among qualified hitters in the National League behind teammate Will Smith (.324).

Horwitz went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double, six RBI and an additional run scored in Sunday's 9-5 win over the Rockies.

The leadoff man erupted at the plate Sunday, launching a two-run homer in the second inning and following it up with a three-run shot in the sixth. This was the first-baseman's his third career multi-homer game, and he registered a new career best with six RBI. Horwitz has been red-hot since the All-Star break, batting .346 (18-for-52) with 15 RBI and nine runs scored over 15 games. The 27-year-old is seeing the ball well and continues to deliver impact production atop the Pirates lineup.

Turner appeared as a pinch hitter and went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Orioles.

Turner pinch hit in the bottom of the ninth inning and blasted off against Baltimore reliever Keegan Akin to give the Cubs a walk-off win. It was a nice moment for the veteran infielder, though he has mostly struggled this year with a .217 batting average, .617 OPS and three home runs across 58 games. Turner has been mainly relegated to occasional playing time against lefties, which limits his fantasy upside.

Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said that Mountcastle (hamstring) won't be reinstated from the 60-day injured list ahead of Monday's series opener in Philadelphia, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Before receiving Sunday off, Mountcastle had appeared in six rehab games for Triple-A Norfolk, making four starts at first base and two at designated hitter while slashing .391/.440/.783 with two home runs and three doubles. Though Mountcastle hasn't experienced any setbacks with his right hamstring during his assignment, Mansolino said that the Orioles want the 28-year-old to get some more at-bats in at Triple-A before he rejoins the big club for the first time since late May. Mountcastle may not be activated during the series with Philadelphia, but he still appears on track to return from the IL at some point during the upcoming week.

Tellez will start at first base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Mariners.

Tellez will crack the lineup for a fourth straight game, as the Rangers are reopening a regular role for him against right-handed pitching with Josh Jung (calf) having been on the bench for each of those contests. If Jung is able to avoid a stint on the injured list or if Jake Burger (quadriceps) is activated in the coming days, Tellez could be squeezed out of a regular lineup spot before long.

The Rockies claimed Crim off waivers and optioned him to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.

The 28-year-old Crim went 1-for-11 with one walk and six strikeouts during a brief stint in the big leagues with the Rangers back in May, but he had been raking at Triple-A Round Rock before Texas designated him for assignment Thursday. Over 378 plate appearances with Round Rock, Crim slashed .284/.373/.515 with 18 home runs and three stolen bases. Crim will stick around in the Pacific Coast League and link up with the Rockies' affiliate in Albuquerque, but he could receive another look in the majors before the end of the season if Colorado has a need for a short-side platoon first baseman or designated hitter.

Triolo will start at third base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Since the Pirates traded Ke'Bryan Hayes to the Reds on Wednesday, Triolo appears to have temporarily settled in as the preferred option at third base. He'll pick up a third straight start after going 1-for-7 with two walks, two runs and one RBI through the first two games of the series in Colorado.

Mayo will start at first base and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Cubs.

Mayo has been one of the main beneficiaries in the wake of the Orioles' active trade deadline, during which Baltimore shipped out Ryan O'Hearn, Cedric Mullins and Ramon Laureano. The rookie will make a third straight start at first base Sunday, and he could retain a regular spot in the lineup even if Ryan Mountcastle (hamstring) returns from the 60-day injured list during the upcoming week. The Orioles could install Mountcastle as their everyday designated hitter, which would keep first base open for Mayo, who is slashing .241/.389/.517 with two home runs and a 6:6 BB:K since the All-Star break.

The White Sox recalled Mead from Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

The 24-year-old was acquired by Chicago from Tampa Bay in the Adrian Houser trade Thursday and won't have to wait long to make his White Sox debut after Miguel Vargas (oblique) landed on the injured list. Mead should help fill in for Vargas at first base but could also see action at second and third base.

Goldschmidt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Ben Rice will get the nod at first base Sunday, but Goldschmidt had occupied the position in five of the past six matchups -- all against right-handed pitchers. Though Rice has been far more productive against righties among the two players this season, Goldschmidt's longer track record of success in the big leagues has at least temporarily prevented him from falling into a pure short-side platoon role. Goldschmidt is slashing just .200/.256/.250 with a 37.2 percent strikeout rate since the All-Star break, however, and it's unclear how much patience manager Aaron Boone will exercise with the 37-year-old if he continues to languish.
