Triolo went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored Thursday against the Reds.

Triolo has started six of eight games since Ke'Bryan Hayes was traded, with his primary on-field value coming from his glove. However, he managed a two-RBI single in the first inning Thursday to make a rare offensive contribution. Triolo has gone 6-for-20 with three RBI and five runs scored across his six starts since inheriting the starting role, with the last three starts coming at shortstop while Isiah Kiner-Falefa has shifted to third base.

Kavadas was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.

Kavadas was recalled Tuesday but did not appear in a game before being sent back to Salt Lake. He's maintained an .821 OPS across 465 plate appearances at the level -- good for a 104 wRC+ -- so he could find his way back to Los Angeles later in the campaign.

Naylor exited Thursday's game against the White Sox due to shoulder soreness, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Naylor grimaced during a swing in the third inning and departed shortly thereafter. The initial diagnosis doesn't sound particularly ominous with Naylor labeled day-to-day, though he could undergo imaging with more details to follow. The first baseman also played through some shoulder soreness in June, but it's unclear if that's related to the current injury.

Naylor was removed from Thursday's game against the White Sox with an apparent injury, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Naylor didn't seem very comfortable at the plate during either of his at-bats Thursday, and he was taken out of the game after grounding out to end the third inning. The Mariners haven't yet said what is bothering the 28-year-old first baseman, but more details will presumably come after he's evaluated by the training staff.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 win against Texas.

Goldschmidt didn't start, as Ben Rice instead got a turn at first base. However, Goldschmidt was called upon to pinch hit in the seventh inning and came through with a solo shot to left field to provide what proved to be the winning run. The veteran slugger may be regaining his power stroke, as he has two homers and a double over his past three games spanning 10 plate appearances. Prior to that, Goldschmidt went without a long ball for 31 consecutive contests.

Guerrero 4-for-7 with a double, a home run, four runs scored and two RBI in Wednesday's rout of the Rockies.

Guerrero launched his 18th homer of the year to right-center field off Victor Vodnik in the eighth inning. The 26-year-old slugger was a big part of Toronto's record-setting trip to the Coors Field, going 8-for-17 with two doubles, two homers, four RBI and seven runs over the three games, and both long balls were to the opposite field -- a very strong sign that Guerrero's getting his swing locked in and gearing up for a big finish to the summer.

France went 4-for-4 with three doubles, four runs scored and an RBI in Wednesday's win over the Rockies.

The Blue Jays wrapped up a record-setting series with a 20-1 rout, and France was right in the thick of the fireworks. The 31-year-old has three multi-hit performances in 14 games since the All-Star break, with the first two coming as a member of the Twins, and France is slashing .311/.415/.444 over that stretch with six doubles, three RBI and nine runs. Based on his usage since being traded to the Blue Jays, his main role over the final weeks of the season will be to handle first base against left-handed pitchers while Vladimir Guerrero slides over to designated hitter.

Naylor went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and two stolen bases in an 8-6 win against the White Sox on Wednesday.

Naylor set the tone for a big offensive performance by Seattle with a 450-foot, two-run wallop to right field in the first inning. His other hit was a seventh-inning single that he followed with swipes of both second and third base. Naylor's final stat line was nearly a mirror image of what he posted the previous day in the series opener, when he also went 2-for-3 with a two-run blast and two thefts. His work on the basepaths has been especially impressive of late; over his past 11 contests, Naylor has gone 10-for-10 in stolen-base attempts. He's already more than doubled his previous career-high mark with 21 steals on the campaign.

Vaughn went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI against Atlanta in Wednesday's 5-4 win.

Vaughn contributed a solo homer to center field in the fourth inning and added an RBI on a groundout in the following frame. The veteran first baseman is in the midst of a 12-game hitting streak during which he's batting an impressive .435 (20-for-46) with five home runs, 10 runs scored, 16 RBI and a 4:8 K:BB. Rhys Hoskins (thumb) is expected to be absent until at least late August, so Vaughn should have ample opportunity to continue to rack up stats -- and even when Hoskins does come back, it seems likely the Brewers will continue to give Vaughn everyday at-bats if he's still hitting as well as he is now.

Gonzalez went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in Wednesday's 7-3 loss to the Royals.

That's now three straight multi-hit games and five such efforts in his last seven outings for Gonzalez, who's slashing a robust .313/.346/.612 with 25 extra-base hits and 34 RBI over his last 159 plate appearances since the start of May. The 28-year-old infielder drew the start versus right-hander Michael Wacha on Wednesday, so it's possible his hot hitting is earning him more playing time against righties. Even so, Gonzalez still has a 1.072 OPS versus southpaws as opposed to a .737 OPS against righties in 2025.
