Torkelson went 4-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 7-5, 10-inning loss to the Guardians.

Torkelson was dialed in all night as he delivered his first four-hit performance of the season. He saved his best for last, belting his 29th home run of the year in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Tigers tried to cut into a 7-3 deficit. Torkelson is now two away from tying his career high of 31 homers, which he recorded back in 2023. Tuesday's long ball snapped an 18-game stretch without a home run for the 26-year-old slugger.

Hernandez went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Tuesday's 9-6 loss to the Phillies.

Hernandez continues to fill a versatile role for the Dodgers, but he hasn't hit well enough to stay in the lineup regularly since returning from an elbow injury. He's gone just 7-for-39 (.179) over 14 games since his return Aug. 26. The utility player has a .192/.248/.346 slash line with nine homers, 30 RBI, 26 runs scored and five doubles across 86 contests this season.

Mountcastle is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

The 28-year-old is sitting for the fourth time in the past six contests, as Coby Mayo is operating as Baltimore's primary first baseman. Samuel Basallo and Tyler O'Neill have been picking up at-bats at designated hitter over the past week, which has pushed Mountcastle into a less consistent role. He hasn't helped his cause at the plate in September with a .194/.231/.222 slash line in nine games.

Bauers isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels.

Bauers will take a seat Tuesday after making four consecutive starts at first base, during which he went 2-for-11 with an RBI and two runs scored. Andrew Vaughn will replace him in the starting nine and bat sixth.

Reds manager Terry Francona said Tuesday that Steer (neck) "feels great" after getting a chiropractic adjustment, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Steer was scratched from Monday's lineup in St. Louis due to neck spasms and remains out of the lineup Tuesday, but it sounds like he could be available off the bench. Sal Stewart is receiving a fourth straight start at first base Tuesday.

Contreras (biceps) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Reds.

Contreras was held out of Sunday's game in Milwaukee due to right biceps tightness and had to be pulled from Monday's contest against the Reds when it flared up on him. To this point, he is considered day-to-day. Alec Burleson will play first base for the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Arraez (head) is starting at second base and batting second Tuesday against the Mets.

Arraez was held out of Sunday's starting nine after being struck in the head by an errant warmup throw Saturday, but he's good to go after Monday's team off day. The infielder has a .333/.375/.400 slash line through 12 games in September and has gone 7-for-17 over his past four contests.

Busch went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-0 win over the Pirates.

Busch is now riding a five-game hitting streak, and he's gone deep twice during the stretch. The Chicago first baseman has already set a new career high with 28 long balls this season. Busch has also tallied a career-best 79 RBI, and he's established himself as a reliable leadoff hitter against righties, as he's sporting a .267/.346/.517 slash line in those matchups.

Harper went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and a stolen base in Monday's 6-5 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Harper has racked up five homers and 10 RBI while batting just .241 (13-for-54) over 14 games in September. He also picked up his first steal since Aug. 20 in this contest. Harper has a .264/.358/.503 slash line with 27 homers, 73 RBI, 70 runs scored, 12 steals and 31 doubles across 123 games this season, giving him fairly steady power production compared to recent years.

Stewart went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and two additional runs scored in Monday's victory over the Cardinals.

Stewart delivered the second three-hit effort of his young career Monday, starting it off with a 112.6 mph blast over the left-field wall. The highly-touted prospect hasn't drawn a walk yet but continues to hammer the ball at the major-league level, slashing .297/.297/.622 with four homers and six RBI through his first 11 games.
