  • Josh Naylor 1B | SEA

Mariners' Josh Naylor: Sitting down Tuesday

Naylor (shin/wrist) isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

X-rays on Naylor's right shin came back negative following his early exit from Sunday's game against Washington. However, the Mariners will keep him out of action Tuesday, especially now that he is reportedly also dealing with a sore wrist. Miles Mastrobuoni will start at first base in place of Naylor, who appears likely to remain out of the lineup for at least a couple more days, per Jude.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Back in Tuesday's lineup

Guerrero (back) is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox.

After missing the final two games of the most recent series against the Yankees with back tightness, Guerrero is back at first base and batting third in the order. The 27-year-old slugger has struggled with hitting the long ball, as he has yet to hit one over the fence since May 17. Guerrero has slashed .280/.372/.366 in 288 plate appearances on the campaign.

  • Sal Stewart 1B | CIN

Reds' Sal Stewart: Logs 11th steal in win

Stewart went 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 12-0 win over the Mets.

Stewart reached base via a walk in the first inning and stole a base before scoring on Eugenio Suarez's three-run home run. For Stewart, the steal was his 11th of the season and first in 25 games. He doesn't look the part of a base stealer, but the corner infielder has been successful on 11 of 13 attempts this season and has double-digit steals every year between minors and majors since 2023.

  • Nick Kurtz 1B | ATH

Athletics' Nick Kurtz: Launches two homers in win

Kurtz went 3-for-4 with two home runs, five total RBI and a walk in Monday's 11-2 win over the Pirates.

Kurtz put together a monster performance, lacing a two-run line-drive homer in the second inning before launching a towering three-run shot in the eighth, with both blasts going to the opposite field. The first baseman has had his power stroke working of late, blasting seven homers over his past eight games while recording two multi-homer performances during that stretch. Monday's outburst pushed Kurtz's season numbers to a .293 average with a 1.006 OPS, 18 homers, 57 RBI, 51 runs and seven stolen bases across 71 contests.

  • Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Blasts 12th home run Monday

Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Monday's 9-3 win over the Astros.

Torkelson had a three-true-outcomes night, as he struck out in his other three at-bats outside of his walk and home run. It's a pretty typical stat line for the slugger, who is batting just .210 this season but has gone deep four times in his last nine games to get to 12 long balls overall. While Torkelson can be a streaky player who is prone to slumps, his power keeps him relevant in most fantasy formats.

  • Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM

Mets' Jorge Polanco: Moves to 60-day IL

The Mets transferred Polanco (Achilles/ankle) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

He has already spent over 60 days on the shelf, so the transaction won't affect Polanco's timeline for a return and was made for the purpose of opening up a 40-man roster spot for infielder Zack Short, whom the Mets claimed off waivers from the Tigers. Polanco was pulled off his rehab assignment earlier this month when he experienced renewed soreness in his ankle, but he received a favorable evaluation after undergoing an MRI last week and is expected to resume playing in minor-league games this week. He'll be used exclusively as a designated hitter when he restarts the assignment and could eventually displace MJ Melendez as the top option at that spot once he's deemed ready to return from the IL.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Expected back Tuesday

Guerrero (back) was available to pinch hit Sunday and will likely rejoin the starting lineup Tuesday against the Red Sox, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.

The first baseman was getting ready to hit in the ninth inning when the game was close, but he was kept on the bench after the Yankees erupted for five runs in the top of the frame. Guerrero will benefit from Monday's off day after sitting out the last two contests with lower-back tightness. He's batting just .184 (7-for-38) to begin June, with his homer drought standing at 22 games.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Slaps 11th long ball Sunday

Freeman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the White Sox

Freeman wasted little time getting the Dodgers on the board, taking Bryan Hudson deep in the first inning for a solo shot. The homer was his 11th of the season and continued an impressive stretch for the first baseman, who is batting .299 with an .899 OPS, five homers and 15 RBI over his last 20 games. Despite the surge, Freeman's .275 season batting average would represent his lowest mark since 2012 should it not improve.

  • Red Sox's Willson Contreras: Smacks two homers in loss

Contreras went 3-for-4 with two solo home runs in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Rangers.

Contreras teed off on Nathan Eovaldi twice, blasting solo homers in the second and sixth innings. The first baseman has raked in June, slashing .390/.457/.878 with five homers, five doubles, 10 RBI and eight runs scored through 11 games. It's been an incredibly successful first season with the Red Sox for Contreras, as he's hitting .304/.396/.570 with 16 homers, 11 doubles, two triples, 43 RBI, 34 runs and a stolen base across 67 contests.

  • TJ Rumfield 1B | COL

Rockies' TJ Rumfield: Goes deep in big win

Rumfield went 2-for-6 with a solo home run, a triple, a second RBI and a second run scored in Sunday's 23-9 win over the Athletics.

Rumfield has gone 9-for-20 (.450) with two homers, four doubles and five RBI during a five-game hitting streak. His blast Sunday provided the final run of this high-scoring contest. For the season, the first baseman is batting .280 with an .826 OPS, nine homers, 34 RBI, 31 runs scored, 14 doubles and two triples over 69 contests. He has yet to attempt a stolen base in the majors.
