Toro went a combined 1-for-5 with two solo home runs across Saturday's doubleheader split against the Orioles.

Toro started at first base in Game 1 and slugged a fifth-inning solo shot to right-center field. He began the nightcap on the bench but entered as a defensive replacement in the eighth. Toro belted another solo blast in the ninth frame in his lone Game 2 plate appearance, accounting for Boston's only run of the contest. The 28-year-old's opportunities have been sporadic this season, and he's started just once in the team's past six games, but Toro could start to see a bit more playing time with Romy Gonzalez (quad) suffering a setback in his recovery earlier in the week and Alex Bregman (quad) landing on the 10-day IL on Saturday.

Toglia went 1-for-4 with a triple and an RBI on Saturday against the Yankees.

Toglia was held out of the lineup for three games spanning Wednesday to Friday to work on his approach at the plate. He returned to the lineup Saturday to drive in Colorado's only run with a triple in the fourth inning. Toglia has been in a season-long slump with few signs of turning it around, as he has gone just 12-for-65 (.184) with three homers, seven RBI and six runs scored across 20 games in May.

Solano went 2-for-3 with a walk in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Houston.

Solano made his fifth start at first base among 12 appearances in the month of May, but he remains without an RBI since April 17. Over his last 15 outings (30 at-bats), the veteran infielder is batting an empty .267 with just two extra-base hits. The absence of Luke Raley (oblique) hasn't translated to a boost in playing time for Solano, who should continue to function on the short side of a platoon with the lefty-hitting Rowdy Tellez at first base.

Guerrero went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Rays.

Guerrero supplied the Blue Jays' only run of the game in the sixth inning, when he took Shane Baz deep to left field for a solo home run. Guerrero is up to seven home runs on the season, three of which have come over his last nine games. He has slashed .282/.400/.462 with 17 runs scored, four home runs and nine RBI over 95 plate appearances since the beginning of May.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-4 with a walk, a steal, an RBI single and two runs scored in Saturday's 13-1 win over the Rockies.

Goldschmidt came around to score twice during the Yankees' 10-run fifth inning and contributed to the rout with an RBI single to center field. Goldschmidt has logged three hits in a game seven times this season and has 21 multi-hit performances. The veteran first baseman is slashing .344/.399/.492 with four steals, five home runs and 27 RBI over 209 plate appearances this season.

The Red Sox transferred Casas (knee) to the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Casas underwent surgery in early May to repair the ruptured patellar tendon in his left knee and will aim to return in 2026. The move corresponds with the Red Sox selecting Marcelo Mayer's contract from Triple-A Worcester while placing Alex Bregman (quad) on the 10-day injured list.

Contreras (back) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Arizona.

Contreras was a late scratch from Friday's lineup due to back spasms, and he'll need at least another day to recover. Alec Burleson will fill in for him at first base and bat fifth.

Eldridge is slashing .304/.379/.533 with 15 RBI, 12 runs scored, six doubles, five home runs and a 27.2 percent strikeout rate across 103 plate appearances for Double-A Richmond this season.

Eldridge is in the midst of a four-game hitting streak and has notched at least one hit in 15 of his 19 appearances this month. The 20-year-old first baseman has been productive in May, slashing .338/.397/.577 with 12 RBI, nine runs scored, four homers and a 23.1 percent strikeout rate. The 16th overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft, Eldridge could soon make a case for a promotion to Triple-A Sacramento, where he finished the 2024 campaign.

Sogard will start at third base in the afternoon game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Orioles, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Sogard steps in for Alex Bregman, who was removed from Friday's contest with right quad tightness. It's unclear if Bregman could be available for the second game of the doubleheader, or if manager Alex Cora will make do with Sogard or another body.

Burger went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Friday's 4-1 loss to the White Sox.

Burger continued a revival since being called up from a brief stay in the minors. He's hit safely in nine of 11 games since returning the majors, going 12-for-40 (.300) with three doubles, three home runs and seven RBI. Unfortunately for the Rangers, the offense was dormant once again, managing just three hits. Burger, who's spent much of his time in the lower half of the batting order, has been moved up to fourth and fifth the last two games.
