Asdrubal Cabrera 1B | CIN
Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera: Out of lineup Sunday
Cabrera is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
It appears Cabrera is just receiving a day of rest for Sunday's matinee against the Nationals. Jose Reyes is taking over at shortstop. Expect Cabrera to be back in the lineup Monday against the Braves.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Angels' Kole Calhoun: Collects pair of hits in loss
Calhoun went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's loss to the Rangers.
Calhoun has been disappointing thus far to those who expected him to replicate his solid .786 OPS from last season, but he seems to be getting back to his old self. Saturday marked the third time in four games that the 29-year-old collected multiple hits, and he's also struck out just twice in that same span.

Josh Naylor 1B | SEA
Padres' Josh Naylor: Exits High-A game early after getting hit in face
Naylor was removed from Saturday's game with High-A Lake Elsinore after being hit in the face by a thrown ball, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
According to eyewitnesses, the young Canadian didn't see a pickoff throw coming and ultimately took the throw right off his face. He was removed from the game immediately, although it's unclear how severe the injury is or if he'll miss any time due to this. Consider him day-to-day until more details emerge. Prior to this incident, Naylor was batting .305 with five home runs and 22 RBI in 22 games.

Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY
Cubs' Anthony Rizzo: Hits fifth home run in eight games
Rizzo went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer during Saturday's win over Boston.
The blast was Rizzo's fifth in eight games, and it also pulled the Cubs within a run of the Red Sox in the top of the fourth inning. The first baseman is up to 15 runs, six home runs, 17 RBI, four stolen bases and a .269/.382/.516 slash line. While that's a juicy five-category return, any contribution in stolen bases should probably be viewed as a bonus going forward.

Tommy Joseph 1B | TEX
Phillies' Tommy Joseph: Out of lineup Saturday
Joseph is not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Dodgers, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.
Brock Stassi gets the start at first base for the third time in five days, suggesting Joseph could be in line for a diminished role moving forward. The 25-year-old is hitting just .190 with one home run this season and has proven to be a black hole in the middle of the lineup, so he may need to improve quickly to remain a regular in the Phillies' lineup.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Socks two homers
Abreu went 2-for-3 with a pair of solo homers and two walks in Saturday's victory over the Tigers.
Abreu's first homer of 2017 gave the White Sox a 3-1 lead on Michael Fulmer and the Tigers before he launched his second of the contest in the eighth inning to add to the lead. Although he's had a rough start to the year, his batting average has been on a steady climb to .269, as he's collected two hits in each of his last five contests. Hopefully as the weather starts to warm up, the 30-year-old can go on an extended tear and earn the fantasy value owners were expecting when drafting him.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Angels' C.J. Cron: Placed on DL with foot injury
Cron (foot) was placed on the 10-day DL on Saturday, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
He left Friday's game after fouling a pitch off his foot, and while initial X-rays came back negative, it would seem to be something more than a minor contusion. Cron hit .233 with zero home runs in 66 plate appearances prior to the injury, so he had likely already been dropped or benched in most mixed leagues. Jefry Marte will get the starts at first base for now, but Luis Valbuena should take over the bulk of the work there once he is activated from the DL next week.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Back in lineup Saturday
Abreu (hip) is back in the White Sox lineup Saturday, batting cleanup and playing first base, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
After being held out of the last two games with a mild hip flexor strain, Abreu is all systems go Saturday against the Tigers. The 30-year-old is off to a slow start, slashing .253/.309/.320 with no homers through 20 games this season, though he has collected four straight multi-hit games.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yulieski Gurriel: Continues hot streak
Gurriel went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Friday's 9-4 win over the Athletics.
Gurriel is scalding hot right now, going 13-for-29 with five extra-base hits and four RBI over his last seven games, raising his batting average to .347 in the process. After a slow start (.125 through first eight games) had dropped him as low as ninth in the batting order, Gurriel has batted sixth the last two games.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Angels' C.J. Cron: Leaves after fouling ball off foot
Cron was forced to leave Friday's game against the Angels after fouling a ball off his foot, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Cron was on crutches as he left the stadium, but X-rays on his foot came back negative. He may need a day off or two, but it doesn't sound like this one will have major repercussions for Cron. Expect an update from the team before Saturday night's game.
