Guerrero (strained patella tendon) will join Triple-A Buffalo once he is activated from the minor-league disabled list, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.

This isn't surprising, as Guerrero was reportedly days away from a promotion to Triple-A when he suffered the injury in early June. He is almost completely recovered from his injury, upping his workload in Florida over the past couple weeks, so he could join the Bisons very shortly. Naturally, this move to the highest level of the minors will lead to questions about when Guerrero could get a callup to Toronto. Offensively, he is probably ready for the majors, but there are obviously a lot of factors at play that go well beyond his readiness on the field. The Blue Jays are barely hanging around the wild-card race, and if they were willing to keep him at Double-A for 53 games while he was over 100 percent better (203 wRC+) than the average hitter in the Eastern League, it may be wishful thinking to expect them to quickly promote him from Triple-A to the big leagues, even if he gets off to an excellent start.

Flores went 1-for-1 with a solo home run in the first game of Monday's twin bill against the Phillies.

Flores was called upon to pinch hit in the 10th inning, and he came through with his eighth home run of the season to win the game. He's been rolling at the dish of late, recording a base knock in eight of his last 10 games, collecting six extra-base hits and three RBI over that span.

Cabrera will take a seat for the second half of Monday's doubleheader against the Phillies, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBI in Game 1, but he'll get the rest of the night off. He's recorded a base knock in eight of his last 10 games, collecting five extra-base hits and eight RBI over that span.

Gurriel is out of Monday's lineup against the A's.

He is 9-for-21 with two home runs over his last 21 at-bats. Tyler White will start at first base and hit eighth in his stead.

Bell is not starting Monday against the Nationals.

Bell was tried at leadoff for the Pirates' last three games but went just 2-for-13. He'll sit Monday with David Freese starting at first base.

Flores is on the bench for the first half of Monday's doubleheader against the Phillies.

Flores has hit in 12 of his last 14 games, going .296 with an .846 OPS over that stretch. He'll sit Monday afternoon with Dominic Smith playing first base in his place.

Abreu will represent the White Sox at the All-Star Game, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun Times reports.

The fans voted in the 31-year-old Abreu despite a .183 stretch of hitting over the last 40 games. He's batting just .259, a low mark for his career, but that's good enough for second among AL first basemen. This will be his first appearance in the midsummer exhibition since his rookie 2014 season.

Cron went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run during Sunday's 9-0 victory over the Mets.

Cron delivered a three-run homer in the first inning to spot the Rays with an early lead, his first since June 19. After going 3-for-7 with a double, a home run, three RBI and a walk over Tampa Bay's three-game series with the Mets, Cron is batting .244 with 31 extra-base hits and 42 RBI on the year through 82 games.

Rizzo, who went 0-for-5 with a strikeout in Sunday's win over the Reds, is now batting 4-for-22 (.182 average) in July.

Rizzo hasn't hit his usual stride yet this season, as he's now batting .244 with a .748 OPS. Both of those would be his lowest marks since 2013, which was his second season in Chicago. Since then, Rizzo hasn't posted an average lower than .273 or an OPS lower than .899. Despite his struggles to date, the 28-year-old's track record suggests a better second half is a distinct possibility.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with a home run, walk, three RBI and two runs Saturday in the Diamondbacks' 20-5 win over the Padres.

Goldschmidt blasted one of five home runs on the night for Arizona, which set a single-game franchise scoring record in the rout. Arizona used a well-balanced attack to dispatch the Padres, as Goldschmidt's three RBI matched three other players for the team lead. The first baseman's slow start through the first two months of the season now looks to be a distant memory; he's slashing an incredible .376/.471/.752 with 13 home runs, 32 RBI and 29 runs over his last 34 games, though he hasn't provided any steals over that stretch.
