Shaw is not in the lineup Monday against the Braves, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Shaw will stick on the bench for a third straight game with the Braves sending out a left-handed starter in Sean Newcomb. The rookie is just 1-for-17 through his first eight games with the big club, albeit his one hit is a homer. Hunter Pence will start in left field in this one.

Voit is not in the lineup Monday against the Twins, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

Voit will take a seat for Monday's series opener after starting the previous 10 games, slashing a healthy .306/.375/.667 with four homers and six RBI over that stretch. Greg Bird will draw the start at first base in this one, hitting seventh.

Smith (groin) appeared as a pinch hitter in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Phillies, doubling in his lone plate appearance before coming around to score a run.

The fact that the Mets allowed Smith to run himself for himself after legging out the double suggests the groin injury he sustained a night earlier isn't a major concern. With an off day Monday due to the Mets' game against the Marlins postponed, Smith will get some additional time to recover before potentially rejoining the lineup Tuesday.

Cabrera is not in the lineup Monday against the Nationals.

Cabrera hits the bench after making nine straight starts, a stretch in which he hit .294 with three homers and a .980 OPS. Scott Kingery will be the Phillies' shortstop Monday, with Maikel Franco returning from a wrist injury to play third base.

Gurriel is not in the lineup Monday against the Tigers.

Gurriel has started the previous seven games, slashing .269/.286/.538 with two homers and six RBI over that stretch. Tyler White will start at first base in this one, with Evan Gattis serving as the designated hitter.

Olson went 2-for-4 with a double and a run in a win over the Rangers on Sunday.

Olson followed up Saturday's solo home run with his first multi-hit effort of September, extending his modest hitting streak to four games in the process. The young slugger has already driven in and scored four runs apiece over the first eight games of the month, and he's slashing .253/.323/.453 across 189 post-All-Star-break plate appearances while modestly improving his strikeout rate to 22.8 percent from a 25.2 percent first-half figure.

Abreu (abdomen) was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list Monday.

Abreu, who underwent surgery to relieve testicular torsion last week, has been cleared to rejoin the White Sox after successfully working through baseball activities on the field over the weekend (including running, taking live batting practice and fielding groundballs). The veteran first baseman wound up spending close to three weeks on the shelf. Abreu, who is hitting .272/.331/.491 with 22 homers and 78 RBI through 122 games this season, should immediately reclaim his role as the team's starting first baseman.

Santana went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo homer in Sunday's loss to the Mets.

Santana's 23rd homer of the year tied his total from last season, but it wasn't enough to lift the Phillies over the Mets. The first baseman is now riding an 11-game hitting streak, a stretch in which he's hit .333/.375/.644 with four homers.

Bell has hit home runs in back-to-back games following a two-game benching, DK Pittsburgh Sports reports.

An 18 at-bat hitless stretch led Bell to work on finding a consistent approach at the plate. "I just tried to keep my hands inside the ball," Bell explained. "That's my initial move. That's the most important thing. At times, I've gotten too big and too long with my stride." His two-homer showing follows a 263 plate-appearance stretch during which he hit only four home runs in 71 games. With just 10 dingers overall, Bell will look to make up for lost opportunities over the final three weeks.

Cron went 1-for-4 with an RBI double and a walk in a win over the Orioles on Sunday.

Cron's first-inning two-bagger opened the scoring on the day by plating Tommy Pham. The 28-year-old continues to split time at first base with Jake Bauers and also log occasional starts at designated hitter, and he's opened September by hitting safely in three of his first four games. Cron has enjoyed a standout season on the power front, as his doubles (26), home runs (26) and slugging percentage (.487) are all career-best figures.
