The first baseman started May by going just 3-for-22 through the first seven games of the month, but he's potentially getting things going following the consecutive strong efforts. For the season, Busch has delivered an impressive .875 OPS, which would be a new career high.

Arraez got in on the action during a massive day for San Diego's offense, singling in a run in the second inning and adding a two-run triple in the fourth. The veteran infielder has racked up three hits in two straight games, lifting his season batting average to .298. Arraez currently sits at 10th in the National League in that category as he seeks his fourth straight batting title.

Vaughn went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Marlins.
Vaughn was responsible for the White Sox's only run of the game, as he took Edward Cabrera deep to left field for a solo homer in the first inning. Vaughn has registered solo home runs in back-to-back games and has gone 10-for-37 with three runs scored, two home runs and four RBI since the beginning of May.

Over his past 10 games, the first baseman has tallied three multi-hit efforts with five extra-base hits, six RBI and six runs scored. While he's batting a modest .242 on the season, the 32-year-old has provided steady counting stats with seven homers, 22 RBI, 23 runs scored and six steals across 177 plate appearances.

Mervis isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

The White Sox selected Elko's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday.
Elko was a 10th-round pick for the White Sox in 2022 and has progressed consistently through the team's system. He's maintained a .339/.423/.661 line across 130 plate appearances with Charlotte this season, earning him his first shot in the majors. Elko will man first base and hit eighth in his debut Saturday against Miami, per Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com.
