The Athletics selected Davidson's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Davidson is in line to make his MLB debut against the Phillies at some point this weekend. Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Sent to Triple-A
The White Sox optioned Vaughn to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.
Vaughn is the odd man out after the White Sox activated both Andrew Benintendi (calf) and Mike Tauchman (hamstring) from the 10-day IL on Friday. Vaughn has been an MLB regular with the White Sox since 2021, but he's gotten off to a horrible start in 2025, slashing .189/.218/.314 with five home runs, 19 RBI, nine runs scored, zero stolen bases and a 7:43 BB:K across 193 plate appearances. Vaughn will try to find his swing at Triple-A.

Elko flashed some pop in his first 32 big-league plate appearances, swatting three home runs, but he slashed just .161/.188/.452 with five RBI, four runs scored and a 1:10 BB:K across 10 contests.

Spencer Horwitz 1B | PIT
Pirates' Spencer Horwitz: First homer as Pirate
Horwitz went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI on Thursday against the Brewers.
He led off the fourth inning with a solo shot off Aaron Civale, Horwitz's first extra-base hit as a Pirate. He has gone 5-for-18 with only three strikeouts through six games since returning from a wrist injury and seems set in a strong-side platoon role at first base.

Olson opened the scoring with a solo shot in the first inning. He also forced extras with an RBI double in the ninth, but Atlanta ultimately fell in the 10th. The first baseman is 11-for-21 (.524) with four homers, three doubles, seven RBI and six runs scored during his current five-game hitting streak. Overall, he's up to a .250/.357/.483 slash line with 11 homers, 28 RBI, 29 runs scored, nine doubles and no stolen bases across 49 contests.

Ryan Noda 1B | BAL
Red Sox's Ryan Noda: Shipped to Boston
The Angels traded Noda to the Red Sox on Thursday in exchange for cash.
The Angels designated Noda for assignment Sunday after he started the season at Triple-A Salt Lake with a .634 OPS through 154 plate appearances. He'll reclaim a 40-man roster spot upon joining the Red Sox, who have been looking for an answer at first base with Triston Casas (knee) out for the year and Romy Gonzalez sidelined by a quad injury.

Michael Toglia 1B | COL
Rockies' Michael Toglia: Getting break to work on swing
Rockies interim manager Warren Schaeffer said that Toglia is out of the lineup again Thursday in order to work on his swing and approach, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Toglia is absent from the Rockies' lineup for a second straight day Thursday and the third time over the last six contests. However, it sounds like this is more of a reset for the first baseman rather than a demotion. Toglia is slashing only .205/.272/.367 with a league-leading 71 strikeouts this season.
