Abreu is back in the lineup Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Abreu took the day off Friday to rest his legs, but he was never expected to miss extended time. The slugger is back at his usual first base spot and will bat third in the order against Toronto's R.A. Dickey.

Abreu is getting the day off Friday to rest his fatigued legs, Bruce Levine of 670 The Score reports.

Levine reports that Abreu is expected to return to the lineup Saturday, but the Cuban slugger will need the day off Friday to rest his legs after starting each of the last 25 games. Todd Frazier is sliding over to take his spot at first base Friday, but Abreu figures to take back over at first once he returns to the lineup.

Abreu is absent from the White Sox lineup as they host the Blue Jays Friday.

Todd Frazier will start in place of Abreu at first base. Abreu is hitting .308 over his last 10 games with three home runs and 13 RBI. Assuming this is just a routine day off for Abreu, expect him back in the lineup as the White Sox face R.A. Dickey Saturday.

O'Hearn, 22, is batting .296/.362/.503 with seven home runs and 24 RBI through 49 games for Double-A Northwest Arkansas.

After a slow start at this level, O'Hearn has really turned up the heat. He has been even better of late, batting .351 with three home runs and eight RBI over his last 10 games. O'Hearn is often overlooked because he strikes out too much, but his average has actually improved since last season. O'Hearn should be getting more publicity.

Abreu went 2-for-4 with three-run homer in Thursday's 10-inning loss to the Red Sox.

For a time, it looked as though he'd be this game's hero, as Abreu's shot in the top of the seventh turned a 5-4 deficit into a 7-5 lead. Unfortunately, the Red Sox chipped away at the Chicago bullpen and ended up with the win. Nonetheless, after two cold months to start the year, Abreu's been looking much more Abreu-like in June -- he's sitting on a .333 average with five homers and 20 RBI in 20 games.

Santana went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a steal, two RBI and two runs against the Rays on Wednesday.

He's been banging out base knocks pretty steadily lately, having hit safely in nine of his last 12 outings. Santana's been flashing his power in that time as well, knocking out five homers and driving in 11 runs. He's an odd sort of leadoff hitter, but hey, the former catcher did steal double-digit bases last year and could do so again this season -- he's currently 4-for-5 on the basepaths to go with his sparkling 15 homers.

Calhoun went 3-for-5 with a double, a stolen base and an RBI in a loss to the Astros on Wednesday.

Owners have come to expect this kind of consistent production from Calhoun, but the stolen base is a nice surprise, as it is just the second time he has swiped a bag this season. It wasn't too long ago that Calhoun was projected to take 12-15 bases in a year, and while that may be a stretch in 2016, he has enough power and plate discipline that anything in the 8-10 range would likely be considered a fantastic benefit. He is now slashing .292/.368/.457 with nine homers in 267 at-bats.

Parmelee said he hasn't felt any pain in his injured hamstring in about a week, and is working out on a treadmill, Erik Boland of Newsday Sports reports.

Although this is an encouraging sign for Parmelee's recovery, there is still no clear timetable for his return to baseball activities, let alone to the field. In his absence, Rob Refsnyder will continue to be the regular first baseman for the Yankees.

Santana went 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored and two RBI in Monday's 7-4 win over the Rays.

Santana was a key part of the balanced Indians attack, pulling them to within one in the sixth before some of his teammates' late-inning heroics propelled them to victory. He hit just 19 homers last season, but has already gone yard 15 times in 2016.

Abreu went 2-for-5 with a two-run double in Monday's 3-1 victory over the Red Sox.

Abreu's tenth-inning double off Craig Kimbrel was the deciding hit in a dramatic extra-inning affair. While none of the White Sox were able to get it going against starter Steven Wright, their slugging first baseman delivered when it counted against an elite bullpen arm. His resulting triple slash line sits at .267/.325/.440.
