Blue Jackets' Mikael Pyyhtia: Two-point effort Saturday
Pyyhtia scored a goal on five shots and added an assist in AHL Cleveland's 3-2 win over Utica on Saturday.
Pyyhtia has made 56 NHL appearances, earning four goals and six helpers over the last three years. The Blue Jackets didn't have space for him on the Opening Night roster, and he passed through waivers unclaimed. Last year, he recorded 16 points in 28 outings for Cleveland, but he doesn't have a lot of scoring upside.

Blue Jackets' Zach Aston-Reese: Slides helper in Saturday's win
Aston-Reese produced an assist and five hits in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Wild.
Aston-Reese continues to maintain a spot on the fourth line for the Blue Jackets. He could lose some playing time to Yegor Chinakhov throughout the year. The 31-year-old Aston-Reese has an assist, seven hits, two shots on goal and a plus-1 rating through two contests and will look to match his 17-point performance from 2024-25, which matched his career high in points.

Blue Jackets' Miles Wood: Opens scoring in barnburner
Wood scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Wild.
Wood needed just two games to get his first point as a Blue Jacket. He's started 2025-26 on the fourth line, adding three shots on net and two hits over two games. The 30-year-old winger brings speed and physicality in a bottom-six role, but he likely won't put up enough offense to be a major factor in fantasy.

Blue Jackets' Adam Fantilli: Pair of points in win
Fantilli scored a goal, dished an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Wild.
Fantilli was held off the scoresheet versus the Predators in the season opener before breaking out with a multi-point effort Saturday. The 21-year-old has started 2025-26 as the Blue Jackets' second-line center. He's looking to build upon the 31-goal, 54-point campaign he had over all 82 games last season. Fantilli has some breakout potential for fantasy, though he'll have to prove that shooting 16.2 percent last year wasn't a total fluke.

Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Excellent in win over Minnesota
Werenski had one goal and two assists, including one on the power play, in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Wild.
Werenski scored 1:11 into the third period to give the Blue Jackets a 4-2 lead, and he also assisted in two of Kirill Marchenko's three goals, including the one on the power play. Werenski is coming off a career-best season in 2024-25 with 82 points, including 23 goals, in 81 regular-season contests, and he should be among the most productive defensemen in the league once again as long as he stays healthy.

Blue Jackets' Dmitri Voronkov: Two helpers Saturday
Voronkov recorded two assists and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Wild.
Voronkov didn't find the back of the net in this high-scoring matchup, but he contributed with assists in two of the goals scored by Kirill Marchenko, who posted an impressive hat-trick. Voronkov also scored in the 2-1 loss to the Predators in the season opener, so he's opened the new campaign on a two-game point streak. He's been making things happen on both ends of the ice. Through two games, Voronkov has three points, four PIM, three shots on goal, four hits and a blocked shot.

Blue Jackets' Kirill Marchenko: Scores hat-trick Saturday
Marchenko scored a hat-trick, with one of those goals coming on the power play, in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Wild.
Marchenko didn't score despite taking eight shots in the season-opening loss to the Predators on Thursday. However, he bounced back admirably in this one and found the twine three times on four shots. Marchenko opened his tally just seven seconds into the second period and added another one just before the end of the second frame. He completed the hat-trick with a slap shot at the 3:01 mark in the third period. Marchenko had a career-high 74 points, including 31 goals, in 2024-25.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Three points Saturday
Jenner recorded an empty-net goal and two assists, including one on the power play, in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Wild.
Jenner closed out the scoring with an empty-netter late in the third period, but he also delivered two assists in this high-scoring win. Jenner should continue to find ways to produce as long as he remains in a top-six role. He's coming off a 2024-25 campaign in which he was limited to only 19 points in 26 regular-season showings, so unless he has a dramatic turnaround in form, he's not expected to play a significant role in most fantasy formats.

Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Beaten four times
Merzlikins allowed four goals on 52 shots faced in Saturday's 7-4 win over Minnesota.
Merzlikins didn't play in the 2-1 loss to Nashville, and while he earned the win in this high-scoring matchup, allowing four goals isn't going to do a lot of good in fantasy. It remains to be seen whether Merzlikins or Jet Greaves will get the nod when the Blue Jackets take on the Devils on Monday at home.

Blue Jackets' Evan Gardner: Earns eighth WHL shutout
Gardner posted a 32-save shutout in WHL Saskatoon's 3-0 win over Kamloops on Saturday.
Gardner earned the eighth shutout of his junior career, which is third-most in Blades history. The 19-year-old netminder inked an entry-level deal with the Blue Jackets in March. He's still a few years away from being a true contender for NHL minutes, but he's had excellent numbers throughout his time in the WHL and is off to a 5-1-0 start with a 1.56 GAA and a .942 save percentage in six games this season.

Blue Jackets' Erik Gudbranson: Leaves with upper-body injury
Gudbranson is being checked for an upper-body injury after leaving Saturday's game versus the Wild in the third period, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.
Gudbranson's status should be updated prior to Monday's game versus the Devils. The 33-year-old blueliner hasn't recorded a point in two appearances so far this season. If he's forced to miss time, Jake Christiansen is available to enter the lineup, though the Blue Jackets may want a right-shot defenseman available to fill the gap.

Blue Jackets' William Whitelaw: Picks up two points in win
Whitelaw scored a goal on six shots and added an assist in Western Michigan University's 6-4 win over Ferris State on Friday.
Whitelaw transferred to WMU from the University of Michigan in the summer. Whitelaw entered this year with 35 points over 72 games in the NCAA, so he'll need to improve his offense significantly to be in the Blue Jackets' long-term plans.

Blue Jackets' Ivan Fedotov: Shutout in AHL Cleveland debut
Fedotov posted a 21-save shutout in AHL Cleveland's 1-0 win over Utica on Friday.
Fedotov's first game for the Monsters was a massive success. The 28-year-old was acquired by the Blue Jackets from the Flyers in September, but he wasn't able to win an NHL job in training camp. If he can put together good performances with Cleveland, he could earn a call-up later in the year, especially if one of Elvis Merzlikins or Jet Greaves is unavailable.

Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Set to start Saturday
Merzlikins is expected to start on the road against Columbus on Saturday, per Aaron Portzline of The Athletic.
Merzlikins is making his first start of the campaign after Jet Greaves saved 29 of 31 shots in a 2-1 loss to Nashville on Thursday. Although Merzlikins didn't start in the opener, he still has an opportunity to claim the No. 1 gig, but he'll probably need to do better than he did in 2024-25 in order to secure the job. The 31-year-old posted a 26-21-5 record, 3.18 GAA and .892 save percentage in 53 outings with Columbus last year.

Blue Jackets' Damon Severson: Bags helper in loss
Severson registered an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Predators.
Severson looked steady in a second-pairing role and was able to set up Dmitri Voronkov's first-period tally. The 31-year-old Severson sometimes has lapses in his own zone, but the Blue Jackets' defensive depth is a little lacking, so he should have little trouble staying in the lineup this season. He produced 25 points in 70 regular-season outings in 2024-25 while also topping 100 blocked shots (104) for the second time in three years.

Blue Jackets' Dmitri Voronkov: Starts season with goal
Voronkov scored a goal and dished out two hits in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Predators.
Voronkov began his third season on a fantasy high note, finding the back of the net with less than four minutes remaining in the first period. The 25-year-old forward took a step forward last season with 23 goals and 24 assists after posting 34 points in 2023-24. His goal out of the gate this year could be a sign that Voronkov will be in the mix to post 48 points or more for a new career high. With one of last year's fantasy breakouts Kirill Marchenko and steady veteran Sean Monahan skating alongside him on the top line, Voronkov is an exciting fantasy file this season that could see play in all league formats.

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Loses close battle
Greaves rejected 29 of the 31 shots he saw in Thursday's 2-1 loss to Nashville.
While Greaves will start the 2025-26 campaign with a loss, he allowed just one goal through the first two periods of the contest before surrendering Ryan O'Reilly's game-winning tally on a Nashville power play early in the third. The 24-year-old Greaves now has a 0-1-0 record with a 2.04 GAA and a .935 save percentage. The young netminder showed elite flashes down the stretch last season, as he finished the year with a 7-2-2 record, 1.91 GAA and .938 save percentage in 11 appearances. Columbus head coach Dean Evason and the rest of the Blue Jackets' staff displayed their confidence in Greaves by giving him the starting nod Thursday over Elvis Merzlikins. However, the two goalies are expected to operate in a timeshare to open the season. Nonetheless, Greaves has breakout potential this season and is a top name to keep an eye on in fantasy. Thursday's performance is a strong building block for the 24-year-old moving forward.
