  • Blues' Justin Carbonneau: Racking up goals in junior play

Carbonneau scored twice and added an assist in QMJHL Blainville-Boisbriand's 10-4 win over Newfoundland on Thursday.

This was Carbonneau's second multi-goal game since rejoining the Armada after attending the Blues' training camp. He has five points in three outings this season. While he's not yet close to the NHL, the 18-year-old winger should continue to be one of the QMJHL's best scorers this year before challenging for a job in St. Louis next fall.

  • Blues' Justin Carbonneau: Signs entry-level contract

Carbonneau signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Blues on Wednesday.

Carbonneau was selected by St. Louis with the No. 19 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, and he indicated in mid-July that he'll remain with QMJHL Blainville-Boisbrand for the 2025-26 campaign. However, he'll be able to participate in training camp with the Blues this fall after agreeing to terms on an entry-level deal. Over 62 regular-season appearances in the QMJHL last year, Carbonneau racked up 46 goals, 43 assists and 61 PIM.

  • Blues' Justin Carbonneau: Staying in juniors

Carbonneau will be back with QMJHL Blainville-Boisbriand for the 2025-26 campaign, Scott Wheeler of The Athletic reports Friday.

Carbonneau was originally expected to attend Boston College in the fall, but instead will stay in juniors, where he can likely make a quicker transition to the NHL. In his 62 regular-season games for the Armada, the 18-year-old winger racked up 46 goals and 43 helpers before adding three more goals in five postseason tilts. The 2025 19th overall pick will likely take part in training camp this fall if he can put pen to paper on an entry-level deal.
