Stars' Arttu Hyry: First career goal comes shorthanded
Hyry scored a shorthanded goal on two shots and added two hits in Sunday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Flyers.
This was Hyry's 18th career game, and he was able to come through with his first NHL goal late in the second period. The 24-year-old forward is seeing steady bottom-six minutes while the Stars deal with a brutal run of injuries to forwards. Hyry has two points, 16 shots on net, 19 hits, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 13 appearances this season.

Stars' Arttu Hyry: Gets first point of season
Hyry notched an assist in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Mammoth.
This was Hyry's first point in eight games for Dallas, all of which have come since the Olympic break. The 24-year-old is filling a fourth-line role in the absence of Radek Faksa (lower body), who isn't expected back until the last week of the regular season. Hyry has added 10 shots on net and 12 hits, but without more offense, he's not a fantasy option.

Stars' Arttu Hyry: Up from AHL
Hyry has been recalled from AHL Texas by the Stars, the team announced Sunday.
After appearing in four games during his most recent NHL stint that ended Thursday, Hyry is back up with the Stars. The 24-year-old did not record a point in those four contests, but he had nine shots on goal, six hits and a plus-1 rating. The Stars were at 12 healthy forwards before his addition, so it remains to be seen whether or not he will crack the NHL lineup this time around.

Stars' Arttu Hyry: Pots pair for Texas
Hyry scored twice in AHL Texas' 4-2 win over Chicago on Saturday.
Hyry was up with the big club for about a week to help the Stars navigate the absences they had coming out of the Olympic break. He was sent down Thursday and had a big game with a pair of goals 30 seconds apart in Saturday's win. For the season, the Finnish forward has nine goals and 19 points over 27 AHL appearances.

Hyry was sent to the minors Thursday, Robert Tiffin of D Magazine reports.
Hyry has no points, a plus-1 rating, nine shots and six hits in four outings with Dallas in 2025-26. He also has seven goals and 17 points in 26 appearances with Texas this season.

Hyry was recalled from AHL Texas on Wednesday.
Hyry made five appearances for Dallas last year, but Wednesday's recall is the first time he's joined the NHL club this season. Across 26 games in the AHL this season, he's recorded seven goals, 10 assists and 13 PIM.

Stars' Arttu Hyry: Gaining momentum in AHL
Hyry scored a goal and added an assist in AHL Texas' 5-2 win over Rockford on Saturday.
Hyry missed about a month of action for Texas, but he's been back in action for a week. He's rattled off a three-game goal streak and is up to four goals and two assists through nine contests overall. Hyry had an assist in five NHL outings in the 2024-25 regular season, as well as 49 points in 67 AHL contests, so he could play his way into a call-up if he continues to fill the net for Texas.

Stars' Arttu Hyry: Sent back to minors
Hyry was reassigned to AHL Texas on Wednesday.
Since Dallas doesn't play again until Thursday's matchup with Montreal, the decision to demote Hyry, along with Matej Blumel, is likely a temporary cap-saving measure. Fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised to see both forwards recalled ahead of the clash with the Canadiens.

Hyry is expected to draw into the Stars' lineup, replacing the injured Mason Marchment (upper body) versus Ottawa on Thursday. Hyry has been on fire in the AHL of late, as he is on a 10-game point streak, scoring eight goals and adding five assists. He has been especially hot in his last three games with five goals and an assist. He will likely see a middle-six role as he should make his NHL debut.
