  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Two helpers against Habs

Nazar picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Canadiens. The 21-year-old has come flying out of the gates on the 2025-26 season with five points (one goal, four assists) during a three-game scoring streak. Nazar's seeing a consistent shift on Chicago's top power-play unit as well, although Saturday's PP point was his first of the year. After producing 12 goals and 26 points in 53 games last season, Nazar appears headed for a breakout in his first full NHL campaign.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: In team record books for opener

Nazar had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss to Florida on Tuesday. Nazar, 21, is the sixth Blackhawks player age 21 or younger to put up a multi-point effort in a season-opening game in the past 40 years. The young pivot is poised for a breakout year. Nazar is coming off a 12-goal, 14-assist, 91-shot season in 2024-25 (53 games).

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Inks extension with Chicago

Nazar signed a six-year, $46.1 million contract extension with the Blackhawks on Thursday. Nazar is entering the final year of his entry-level deal, and his extension will begin in the 2026-27 campaign. The 21-year-old made 53 appearances with Chicago last year and racked up 12 goals, 14 assists, 35 blocked shots, 30 hits and 24 PIM while averaging 15:52 of ice time. He should be in the mix for a top-six role once again during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: One of each Saturday

Nazar scored a goal on five shots and added a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Jets. Nazar has three goals and three assists over six outings in April. The 21-year-old is up to 10 goals, 13 helpers, 88 shots on net and a minus-12 rating through 51 appearances. He has the same number of power-play points as shorthanded points (two), so Nazar is already trusted with ice time in all situations as a rookie with a promising two-way future ahead of him.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Pots shorthanded goal

Nazar scored a shorthanded goal on four shots in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Penguins. Nazar has three goals and two assists over his last six games. The 21-year-old is already displaying some two-way acumen -- his first career shorthanded goal came before he's ever scored on the power play. The Michigan native is up to nine goals, 21 points, 81 shots on net and a minus-11 rating over 48 appearances this season.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Two points in Friday's loss

Nazar scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist and added two PIM in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Capitals. Nazar helped out on a Tyler Bertuzzi goal in the first period before scoring one of his own in the second. The 21-year-old Nazar has two goals and two assists over his last five contests as he continues to show a little of his potential in his rookie year. Overall, he's produced eight goals, 20 points, 77 shots on net and a minus-12 rating across 47 appearances.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Sets up shortie

Nazar logged a shorthanded assist in Wednesday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Avalanche. Nazar didn't earn an assist in all of March, instead scoring just three goals over the previous 15 games. The 21-year-old got back to helping out when he set up Ilya Mikheyev's opening goal Wednesday. This was the first shorthanded point of Nazar's young career. He's been just fine as a rookie in 2024-25, earning 18 points, 74 shots on net, 27 blocked shots, 24 hits and a minus-13 rating across 46 appearances. He still has some developing to do before he can be trusted regularly in redraft formats.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Buries goal Wednesday

Nazar scored a goal on four shots and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Devils. Nazar snapped a five-game point drought with the tally. The 21-year-old saw a season-high 21:10 of ice time while centering the first line in Wednesday's contest. He's up to seven goals, 17 points, 66 shots on net and a minus-12 rating over 43 appearances. Nazar has talent, but even with a big role with the Blackhawks, he is still risky in redraft formats for the rest of the campaign.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Converts penalty shot

Nazar scored on a penalty shot in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over Utah. The goal ended an eight-game run in which Nazar was limited to four assists. The 21-year-old was not involved in a paper move to AHL Rockford ahead of Friday's deadline for playoff eligibility in that league, which is a subtle vote of confidence that he's here to stay in the NHL. He has five goals, 10 assists, 51 shots on net and a minus-6 rating through 34 appearances this season. He was on the top line Friday, which could give him an offensive boost if he maintains that role.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Delivers helper Sunday

Nazar notched an assist and three shots on goal in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs. Nazar has a helper in back-to-back games and four points over his last four contests. The 21-year-old forward has mainly been on the third line recently, though a lineup shuffle could see him get into the top six more regularly. He's held his own at the NHL level so far with 12 points, 41 shots on net, 18 hits and a minus-8 rating across 28 appearances.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Manages helper in loss

Nazar notched an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Rangers. In a glimpse to the future, Nazar set up Wyatt Kaiser on the Blackhawks' second goal. The 20-year-old Nazar has a bright future, but he's taking his lumps in a bottom-six role during his first chance at being a full-time NHLer. He has just two helpers to go with 10 shots on net and a minus-5 rating through 11 appearances this season. Hold onto Nazar in dynasty and deep keeper formats, but managers in redraft leagues can likely look elsewhere.

Nazar notched an assist and two shots on goal in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Wild. The helper was Nazar's first career assist and first point in 2024-25. He's added five shots on net, four blocked shots, eight PIM and a minus-2 rating through six appearances at the NHL level. Nazar is one of the Blackhawks' top prospects and is getting a look in the NHL for now, though there's no telling if he'll finish the campaign with the big club.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Assigned to AHL

Nazar was assigned to AHL Rockford on Wednesday, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports. Nazar made his NHL debut late in the 2023-24 campaign and tallied one goal over three regular-season appearances. While it appears likely that he'll begin the 2024-25 regular season in the AHL, the 2022 first-round pick is a strong candidate to rejoin the NHL club at some point this year.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Debuting Sunday

Nazar will make his NHL debut Sunday against Carolina, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Nazar signed his entry-level deal Saturday after two seasons at the University of Michigan. He tallied 19 goals and 48 points over 54 appearances. Nazar was the 13th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The 20-year-old is a key part of Chicago's youth movement and, for now, will likely slot in as a middle-six center.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Agrees to three-year deal

Nazar signed a three-year, entry-level contract Saturday. His deal will begin with the 2023-24 campaign. Nazar had 17 goals and 41 points in 41 NCAA outings with the University of Michigan in 2023-24. Chicago took him with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. Nazar is expected to join the Blackhawks before Sunday's game against Carolina, per Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times, so he should get some NHL experience before the summer. Look for the 20-year-old to serve in a middle-six capacity, though it is possible that they'll experiment with having Nazar and Connor Bedard share the ice.
