Stars' Roope Hintz: Hurt in third period
Hintz sustained an undisclosed injury in the third period of Saturday's game versus the Hurricanes and is undergoing further evaluation, Sam Nestler of DLLS Stars reports.
Hintz was charged by Taylor Hall on the play, which ultimately led to the Stars' game-winning goal on the power play. The severity of Hintz's injury is not yet known, leaving his status in doubt for Sunday's game in Nashville. Stars' Roope Hintz: Healthy ahead of training camp
Hintz (foot) has been able to train properly during the offseason and is completely healthy ahead of training camp in September, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports Friday.
Hintz suffered a fractured foot during the Western Conference Finals versus Edmonton in Game 2. While he came back to play in the final two games of the series, Hintz required rest for the bone to heal. Hintz had 28 goals, 39 assists and 160 shots on goal across 76 regular-season games and followed that up with six goals and 12 points in 17 postseason games. Hintz is expected to center the top line in Dallas, alongside Jason Robertson and Mikko Rantanen.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Had fractured foot
Hintz battled a fractured foot during the Western Conference Finals, Stars beat writer Robert Tiffin reported Saturday.
The slash that caused Hintz to miss Game 3 from Darnell Nurse fractured his foot, Hintz confirmed at the Stars' exit interviews. He was able to return for the final two games of the series, scoring a goal, but the 28-year-old didn't look 100 percent. He should be good to go for training camp in the fall.

Hintz scored a goal Thursday in a 6-3 loss to Edmonton in Game 5.
Hintz pulled the Stars to within 3-2 with a second-period power-play snipe, wiring a one-timer from between the circles past Stuart Skinner. He finished the postseason with 12 points (six goals, six assists) in 17 games. Half of those points came in two games in the first round against Colorado. Hintz needs to be bumped up 2025-26 fantasy cheat sheets -- he and the uber-talented Mikko Rantanen will have plenty of time to dominate the score sheets.

Hintz was officially a game-time call, but it looks like he is good to go after missing Game 3. The 28-year-old sustained the injury on a slash by Darnell Nurse in Game 2, but the Stars should get a boost from having their top-line center back in action.
