Stars' Roope Hintz: Nets equalizer Saturday
Hintz scored a goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Flames.
Hintz tied the game with 3:07 left in regulation. This ended a four-game goal drought for the center, who had gone two contests without a point entering Saturday. The 29-year-old is up to five goals, 12 helpers, 49 shots on net, 15 hits and a plus-3 rating through 17 appearances. With a spot alongside the red-hot Jason Robertson, Hintz should continue to offer plenty of scoring upside in a top-six role.

For the season, the center is up to four goals, 12 helpers, 43 shots, 13 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 14 outings. He should continue to pile up points as the Stars' offense gets more comfortable following some quiet games in late October.

Hintz scored the game-winning goal Tuesday in a 3-2 overtime victory over the Senators.

It was his first game-winning goal of the season. Hintz has four goals and eight assists in 12 games. His shooting percentage is only 10.5, which is well below his career average of 16.5. Expect the goals to start to uptick.

Hintz scored a power-play goal on two shots and added two hits in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Predators.

It's good to see him hit the ground running, and it looks like he'll settle in on the second line for now, as the Stars appear to like Wyatt Johnston with Mikko Rantanen on the top line. Hintz is up to 10 points (six on the power play) with 33 shots on net and a minus-4 rating over 10 outings this season.

Hintz scored a goal on three shots and went minus-2 in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Ducks.

That's roughly in line with his usual workload, especially with how the Stars often spread out the ice time. Hintz (undisclosed) is considered a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup against Anaheim, Brien Rea of Victory+ reports.
Hintz has missed the last five games due to an undisclosed injury, but he'll be evaluated in the hours leading up to Thursday's puck drop and could be cleared to return to action. Even if he isn't given the green light Thursday, it wouldn't be surprising to see him suit up soon. Over eight appearances prior to his absence, he logged a goal, seven assists, five blocked shots, four hits and two PIM while averaging 19:01 of ice time.
