Jets' Neal Pionk: Classified as day-to-day
Head coach Scott Arniel conveyed Sunday that Pionk (lower body) is "day-to-day for now," according to Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press.
Pionk is set to be evaluated by the team's medical staff Monday. Should he miss any time, Luke Schenn and Colin Miller will fill bottom-four roles on the right side. The Jets will kick off a five-game road trip Wednesday against the Capitals.

Jets' Neal Pionk: Suffers injury Sunday
Pionk (lower body) won't return to Sunday's game against Minnesota.
Pionk logged only 2:05 of ice time before exiting Sunday's matchup. He entered the contest with one goal, four assists, 43 shots on net, 36 blocked shots and 41 hits in 20 appearances. If Pionk misses time, Luke Schenn will probably return to the lineup.

Jets' Neal Pionk: First goal of season
Pionk scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Pionk found the back of the net for the first time this season with a slap shot late in the second frame. The 30-year-old veteran has five points this season, so he's not much of an asset from a fantasy perspective. That said, he could provide some upside in leagues that reward physical stats, as he's averaging 1.8 hits and 1.8 blocked shots per game.

Jets' Neal Pionk: Picks up two assists
Pionk dished out two assists and logged nearly 25 minutes of ice time in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over Minnesota.
Pionk snapped a three-game scoring drought with a first-period assist Tuesday in Minnesota. It's been a sluggish start to the season, as he's managed just two assists through 10 games. While he's not known as a premier offensive blueliner, Pionk has surpassed the 30-point mark in six straight regular seasons, suggesting his production should rebound soon. Given his steady minutes and role quarterbacking Winnipeg's second power-play unit, he has a good chance of building on this performance in Thursday's home matchup against Chicago.

Jets' Neal Pionk: Adds power-play assist Monday
Pionk recorded a power-play assist and three blocked shots in Monday's 2-1 win over the Flames.
Pionk got on the scoresheet for the first time this season when he set up a Jonathan Toews goal in the third. The 30-year-old Pionk has a helper, 10 shots on net, four hits, 12 blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-3 rating through six contests. It's a little concerning that he's not piling up hits as aggressively as in previous seasons, as it's Pionk's physicality and all-around production that provide the bulk of his fantasy value.

Pionk is up to seven points, 23 shots on net, 42 hits, 16 blocked shots, 14 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 12 playoff contests. He continues to see top-four minutes and will play a big role defensively if the Jets are able to pull off a comeback against the Stars, who lead the series 3-2 after Game 5.

Jets' Neal Pionk: Dishes three assists in Game 7
Pionk logged three assists, three shots on net, six hits, four blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 4-3 double-overtime win over the Blues in Game 7.
Pionk was forced into heavy usage after Josh Morrissey (upper body) left the game in the first period. The 29-year-old Pionk stepped up with 46:15 of ice time, and he was productive in those minutes. His biggest helper was on Adam Lowry's goal at 16:10 of the second overtime frame. Pionk had five points, 14 shots on net, 21 hits, 10 blocks, 14 PIM and a plus-4 rating over seven contests in the first round. If Morrissey misses time, Pionk will take over on the top power-play unit while also seeing a hearty bump in overall usage.

Pionk (rest) is expected to draw back into the lineup Wednesday versus Anaheim.

Jets' Neal Pionk: Garners power-play helper
Pionk notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Blackhawks.
This was Pionk's second game back after missing 12 contests due to a lower-body injury. The defenseman has jumped right back into a top-four role, adding five shots on net, five hits and two blocked shots over his two games since returning. Overall, he has 38 points, 121 shots on net, 114 hits, 99 blocked shots and a plus-20 rating over 68 appearances, though it looks like the time lost will cost him a chance at reaching the 40-point mark for the second time in his career.

Jets' Neal Pionk: Given maintenance day
Pionk (rest) will not be in the lineup Sunday against the Oilers, according to Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press.

Pionk (lower body) is projected to be in the lineup Thursday versus the Stars, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Head coach Scott Arniel said Monday that Pionk is "really close" to returning to game action, and the 29-year-old worked on the second defensive pairing during Wednesday's practice session while also seeing some time with the second power-play unit. Jets' Neal Pionk: Close to returning
Head coach Scott Arniel said Monday that Pionk (lower body) is "really close" to returning, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.
Arniel's comments indicate that Pionk will miss Monday's game against the Blues, but the blueliner is working on his conditioning and is closing in on his return to game action. It wouldn't be surprising to see Pionk return to the ice over the final week of the regular season, which would help prepare him for a postseason run.

Jets' Neal Pionk: Nets lone goal in loss
Pionk scored a goal on three shots, added three hits and logged two PIM in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Predators.

Over seven outings in February, Pionk has two goals and two assists. The 29-year-old blueliner has nine goals this season, one shy of his career high from 2022-23, and he's already up to 37 points, 107 shots on net, 100 hits, 91 blocked shots, 44 PIM and a plus-19 rating through 60 appearances. With a quarter of the campaign to go, he has a good chance of matching his career-best 45 points from the 2019-20 campaign.

Jets' Neal Pionk: Bends twine Tuesday
Pionk scored a power-play goal on two shots in Tuesday's 3-0 victory over Carolina.
Pionk extended his point streak to three games with Tuesday's tally, giving him eight goals on the year, including a career-high four with the man advantage. The 29-year-old Nebraska native should be capable of reaching the 10-goal threshold for just the second time in his eight-year NHL career, making him a decent depth option for fantasy managers -- especially in banger leagues that value hits.
