Vilardi's secondary helper on Logan Stanley's goal late in the second period helped the prior raise his point streak to seven games. With the apple, Vilardi is up to 14 assists, 30 points and 70 shots on net across 32 games this season. Over half of the 26-year-old forward's points have been in his last 13 games, where he has 10 goals and six assists during that time. He's shaken off his slow start offensively and is on pace for a career year in points to surpass the 61 he had in 71 regular-season games a year ago. Vilardi's line assignment alongside Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele should continue to cultivate success in fantasy.

The 26-year-old sniper potted Winnipeg's final two tallies of the night. It was Vilardi's third multi-goal performance in the last 12 games, a hot stretch in which he's racked up 10 goals and 15 points while finding the back of the net four times with the man advantage. The surge has him on pace for a career-best campaign, as Vilardi's up to 16 goals and 29 points in 31 contests.

Even with the usual top line broken up, Vilardi was still able to get on the scoresheet. Vilardi planted himself down low in front of Filip Gustavsson and was quickly rewarded when he slammed home a rebound goal midway through the first period. Vilardi signed a six-year, $45 million contract with the Jets on Friday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Vilardi was a restricted free agent who would have gone to arbitration if he hadn't agreed to terms with Winnipeg. The 25-year-old recorded 27 goals and 61 points in 71 regular-season outings with the Jets in 2024-25. It was his third straight 20-plus goal season, but he shattered his previous career high of 41 points, which was set in 2022-23. His new cap hit suggests Winnipeg anticipates his 2024-25 production being his new normal. He's projected to serve on Winnipeg's top line and first power-play unit in the upcoming campaign, and he should maintain that role for years to come.
