Heiskanen scored an empty-net goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Friday's 4-1 win over the Sharks.

The 26-year-old defenseman has been resurgent on offense this year while maintaining all of his usual shutdown duties on defense. Heiskanen scored a goal on four shots and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Oilers.
Heiskanen found the back of the net for the first time since his two-goal performance in a 3-2 win over the Hurricanes on Oct. 25. The star blueliner hasn't been as productive as he's been in previous seasons from a scoring perspective, and he has only six points across 13 appearances this season. However, he continues to log heavy minutes on the top pairing and the first power-play unit, presenting him with plenty of chances to rack up more points.

The 26-year-old Heiskanen is up to three assists, five points, 26 shots on target and 14 blocked shots through 10 games this season. The point with a man advantage could be a sign of more to come for the blueliner. Heiskanen currently holds the top spot on the power play over Thomas Harley, though they could continue to battle for that position throughout the year. Heiskanen's strong category coverage makes him a great option in most fantasy formats this season.

Stars' Miro Heiskanen: Nets pair of goals in win
Heiskanen scored twice on three shots and blocked three shots in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Hurricanes.
Heiskanen took advantage of a couple of deflections to get his first two goals of the year. The first got the Stars on the board early in the second period, and the second was a power-play tally in the third that stood as the game-winner. Through eight contests, Heiskanen has four points, 22 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating. He hasn't been bad -- just a little quiet. Saturday's effort could get his offense on track, but his defensive acumen makes him a lock for heavy minutes in a top-four role.
