  • Hurricanes' Ronan Seeley: Inks two-way deal

Seeley agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with Carolina on Thursday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Seeley made his NHL debut last season, appearing in the regular-season finale against the Islanders. The 23-year-old defenseman logged 15:12 of ice time in that game while producing two blocks. While Seeley could see a little more action this year, he's unlikely to be a mainstay on the Canes' blue line, making him a relative non-factor in fantasy contests.

  • Hurricanes' Ronan Seeley: Returns to minors

Seeley was reassigned to AHL Chicago on Wednesday. Seeley made his NHL debut Tuesday. He didn't record a point or a shot, but he was credited with two blocks across 15:12 of ice time in a 2-1 win over the Islanders. The 23-year-old defenseman has 10 goals and 22 points in 67 AHL appearances with Chicago this campaign. He'll reunite with the Wolves as they gear up for the Calder Cup Playoffs.

  • Hurricanes' Ronan Seeley: Recalled by Carolina

Seeley was recalled from AHL Chicago on Tuesday. The Hurricanes have clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference ahead of the postseason, and Seeley will provide additional depth for Tuesday's regular-season finale against the Islanders. The 23-year-old hasn't yet made his NHL debut but is a candidate to enter the Hurricanes' lineup if they rest some of their key contributors.

  • Hurricanes' Ronan Seeley: Two goals in AHL victory

Seeley scored twice in AHL Chicago's 4-3 shootout win over Iowa on Wednesday. Seeley has 10 goals and nine assists over 59 outings for the Wolves this season. He's shooting a career-high 11.2 percent, which makes his strong scoring production unlikely to last in the long run. Seeley is set for restricted free agency this summer. He's yet to match the 25-point rookie year he had in 2022-23, so he appears to be quite far off from earning his NHL debut.

  • Hurricanes' Ronan Seeley: Goes on waivers

Seeley was placed on waivers Monday to be assigned to AHL Chicago, per Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site. Seeley had three goals and 10 points in 69 regular-season appearances with AHL Chicago in 2024-25. The 23-year-old defender hasn't made his NHL debut yet and will begin the 2025-26 campaign in the minors.

  • Hurricanes' Ronan Seeley: Heading to minors

Seeley was assigned to AHL Chicago on Sunday. Seeley didn't make any appearances for the Hurricanes last year and failed to earn a spot on the team's Opening Night roster this season. It's unclear whether he'll make his NHL debut during the 2024-25 campaign.
