  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Scores on power play

Johnston scored a power-play goal on five shots and went minus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Panthers.

Johnston had been held off the scoresheet in the previous two games, though the Stars scored just twice in that span. The 22-year-old center got a turn on the top line, officially, amid the team's lineup shuffle, and it worked to spark the offense. Regardless of where he's listed, Johnston is one of the Stars' most important all-situations forwards. He's produced seven goals, four assists, 40 shots on net, 13 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 12 appearances, putting him on track to match or surpass last year's 71-point output from 82 regular-season contests.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Keeps point streak alive

Johnston scored a goal, took four shots on goal and blocked two shots in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Predators. He also recorded two PIM and posted a plus-1 rating.

Johnston scored a late equalizer in the second period, which gave Dallas all the momentum heading into the third period after overcoming a 2-0 deficit. Johnston's sixth goal of the season also extended his current point streak to three games, and he's cracked the scoresheet in all but one of his nine appearances so far. His blistering start to the campaign has him at 10 points through nine games (six goals, four helpers).

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Pair of points Thursday

Johnston scored a goal on four shots and added an assist in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Kings.

Both of Johnston's points came on the power play. He's cooled down a bit since scoring in four straight games to start the season, but he still has five goals and three helpers through seven contests. The 22-year-old center has added 21 shots on net, seven blocked shots, three hits and a plus-1 rating. He'll continue to play a prominent role throughout the year, and he's been even more important while Matt Duchene battles a nagging upper-body injury.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Pots power-play goal

Johnston scored a power-play goal on two shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Canucks.

Johnston has scored in four straight games and has a total of five points (two on the power play) to begin the year. The 22-year-old pulled the Stars within a goal late in the third period, but Quinn Hughes responded to cut off the comeback effort. Johnston's added 11 shots on net, four blocked shots and a plus-2 rating so far. He'll be leaned on a little more while Matt Duchene (upper body) is out of action.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Earns two points in win

Johnston scored a power-play goal on three shots and added an assist in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Wild.

Johnston has scored a goal in all three of the Stars' games to begin the season. His tally Tuesday gave them a 2-0 lead late in the first period. In addition to his four points, the 22-year-old has racked up nine shots on net, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating while playing a key role in all situations. Johnston is among the steadiest and most productive young players in the league and can help in most fantasy formats.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Scores in Saturday's win

Johnston scored a goal on five shots and blocked two shots in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Avalanche.

Johnston has two goals in as many games this season. He turned defense into offense for his third-period tally, blocking a shot before taking off and converting on a breakaway. Johnston plays an important all-situations role, including on the first power-play unit, and he's sharing third-line minutes at even strength with Jason Robertson. Plug and play Johnston in fantasy lineups as long as the offense keeps rolling.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Deposits goal in opener

Johnston scored a goal in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Jets.

Johnston's tally stretched the Stars' lead to 5-1 early in the third period, and it ended up as the game-winner when the Jets' rally came up short. The 22-year-old is entering his fourth full NHL season and has established himself as a 30-goal, 70-point player already. He's listed on the Stars' third line, but this is a fairly deep offense that can roll three lines, so Johnston remains a reliable fantasy forward.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Snaps seven-game point drought

Johnston delivered two assists in a 6-3 loss to Edmonton in Game 5 on Thursday.

The points snapped a seven-game scoring drought for the 22-year-old who delivered a career high 33 goals and 71 points in 82 games in the regular season. Johnston is a talented young player, but he struggled to find his postseason mojo this year. He finished with four goals and six assists in 18 games, but half of those points (three goals, two assists) came in a three-game stretch against Colorado in the first round.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Nets goal in home win

Johnston scored a goal on two shots and levied four hits in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Jets in Game 3.

Johnston was held without a point in the first two matchups of this series, but he helped seal the win by giving Dallas a 5-2 lead in the final stanza. The 21-year-old has delivered four goals and four helpers over 10 playoff games, but his minus-11 rating is the worst mark on the team. Johnston will look to improve that number when the Stars host the Jets in Game 4 on Tuesday.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Strikes on power play

Johnston scored a power-play goal on two shots, added three hits and went minus-2 in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Avalanche in Game 7.

Mikko Rantanen had a hat trick in the contest, but Johnston's tally was the game-winner that sent the Stars to the second round. The 21-year-old Johnston cashed in on a power play that resulted from Jack Drury's holding penalty late in the final frame. Johnston had an acceptable first round with three goals, four assists, 16 shots on net, nine hits and a minus-9 rating over seven contests. The 21-year-old center continues to be a critical part of the Stars' overall game plan.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Mixed results in loss

Johnston registered a power-play assist, three shots on goal and a minus-5 rating in Thursday's 7-4 loss to the Avalanche in Game 6.

This wasn't a great overall performance for Johnston, but he was able to get on the scoresheet by helping out on a Roope Hintz goal early in the second period. The 21-year-old Johnston is up to six points, including three on the power play, over six playoff contests. He's added 14 shots on net, six hits, three blocked shots and a minus-7 rating. While he is listed on the third line, Johnston does enough in all situations to functionally work as a top-six forward.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Sets new franchise record

Johnston scored two goals, one on the power play, and added an assist Monday in the Stars' 6-2 win over the Avalanche in Game 5 of their first-round series.

The 21-year-old wrote his name in the franchise record book when he banked a shot from the corner in off Mackenzie Blackwood just nine seconds into the first period -- the fastest playoff goal in Stars history. Johnston then snuffed out a Colorado rally late in the second period with his power-play tally, giving Dallas a 4-2 lead. The goals were the first of the postseason for Johnston, who has five points in five games. He'll look to stay hot as the Stars try to advance to the second round in Game 6 on Thursday.
