  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Considered week-to-week

Head coach Bruce Cassidy said Wednesday that Hill (lower body) is considered week-to-week, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports. Hill sustained a lower-body injury during Monday's win over the Hurricanes, and he won't travel with the Golden Knights on the team's upcoming three-game road trip. Akira Schmid will likely serve as the team's primary netminder in Hill's absence, while Carl Lindbom will be the backup after being recalled from AHL Henderson on Wednesday.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Injured in Monday's game

Hill sustained a lower-body injury in Monday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes, and there was no update on his status after the game, per Jesse Granger of The Athletic. Hill was replaced by Akira Schmid between the pipes after the former landed awkwardly on his left leg and needed to be helped off the ice midway through the first period, per Steve Carp of The Sporting Tribune. If Hill is forced to miss any time, Carl Lindbom will likely be elevated from AHL Henderson, as Carter Hart (suspension), who signed a professional tryout contract with Vegas on Thursday, isn't eligible to play for the team until Dec. 1. The Golden Knights aren't back in action until Saturday, when they begin a three-game road trip against the Panthers, so an update on Hill's status may not be known in the immediate future.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Pours cold water on Flames

Hill stopped 26 of 27 shots in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Flames. The Golden Knights' offense was humming, and Hill never let the Flames get too close after allowing a power-play goal to Jonathan Huberdeau in the first period. This was Hill's first win of the year -- he was injured in Tuesday's contest in Calgary, but Vegas was behind when he left that game. Hill is 1-0-2 with 10 goals allowed on 85 shots, so he still has some work to do to get his numbers on track. A tough test is ahead, as the Golden Knights host the undefeated Hurricanes on Monday.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Between pipes Saturday

Hill will patrol the home crease against Calgary on Saturday. Hill has posted a record of 0-0-2 while allowing nine goals on 58 shots. He left Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Flames because of a lower-body injury, but served as Akira Schmid's backup in Thursday's 6-5 win over Boston.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Available Thursday

Hill (lower body) is feeling fine and will serve as the backup goaltender for Thursday's home game against Boston, per SinBin.vegas. Akira Schmid will start as scheduled, but it seems Hill was also an option to get the nod. Hill will probably start at home against Calgary on Saturday. The 29-year-old Hill has a record of 0-0-2 with a 3.60 GAA and an .845 save percentage in three appearances this year.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Not starting Thursday

Hill (lower body) will not start Thursday at home versus Boston, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports. Hill left Tuesday's game versus Calgary with the injury and while he practiced at morning skate Thursday, there is no word as to whether or not he will be healthy enough to back up Akira Schmid. The Golden Knights haven't yet recalled another goaltender ahead of the game against Boston.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Hurt in first period

Hill (lower body) won't return to Tuesday's game versus the Flames, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports. Hill took a shot up high in the first period, but it was the fall after his mask fell off that seemingly caused this injury. Any absence for Hill is precarious, as the Golden Knights are thin at goaltender. Akira Schmid took over in goal Tuesday and would likely operate as the starter if Hill misses time. Carl Lindbom would likely be called up from AHL Henderson for additional depth as well.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Takes shootout loss in opener

Hill stopped 21 of 26 shots in Wednesday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Kings. Hill's season debut wasn't great, especially after he allowed two goals over the last nine minutes to squander a 5-3 lead. The 29-year-old stopped just one of three attempts in the shootout to complete the Golden Knights' collapse. The good news is that his team's offense is looking strong early on, which should give Hill some leeway if he's unable to replicate his 2.47 GAA and .906 save percentage from 50 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. Should Hill struggle, Akira Schmid could get a chance to carve out a timeshare in the crease. It'll likely be Schmid between the pipes for Thursday's contest in San Jose as the Golden Knights begin a three-game road trip.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: First goalie off Wednesday

Hill was the first goalie off during Wednesday's morning skate, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports, signaling that he'll draw the Opening Night start at home against the Kings. Hill had one of the best years of his career for the Golden Knights last season, going 32-13-5 with a 2.47 GAA and .906 save percentage over 50 regular-season appearances. He secured a six-year extension in March and is in line to serve as Vegas' No. 1 netminder once again during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Set to face San Jose

Hill is set to defend the home crease for Friday's preseason game against San Jose, per Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Hill is set to make his third appearance of the preseason after stopping 25 of 28 shots across his first two games. The 29-year-old had a 32-13-5 record, 2.47 GAA and .906 save percentage in 50 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. He's set to open the upcoming campaign as Vegas' No. 1 goaltender.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Exits ice first Tuesday

Hill was the first goalie off the ice Tuesday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports, indicating he'll guard the cage at home versus the Kings. Hill reached the 30-win threshold for the first time in his career last season, posting a 32-13-5 record with a 2.47 GAA and four shutouts in 50 regular-season appearances for the Knights. With Ilya Samsonov leaving as a free agent, it will be Hill's net heading into 2025-26 with Akira Schmid serving as the No. 2 option.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Comes up short in elimination game

Hill stopped 31 of 32 shots in Wednesday's 1-0 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 5. Hill did everything he could to keep the Golden Knights' season alive, but his best performance of the playoffs still wasn't enough. The 29-year-old allowed 16 goals over five games against the Oilers in the second-round loss. Hill's status as the Golden Knights' top goalie isn't in question moving forward -- he signed a six-year extension with the team in March, so he'll continue to see substantial playing time for a contender heading into 2025-26.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Expected to start in Game 5

Hill is set to start at home against Edmonton for Game 5 on Wednesday, per Jesse Granger of The Athletic. Hill will look for a better result after allowing at least three goals in each of his first four games against Edmonton in the second-round series. Vegas is down 3-1, so the Golden Knights need a win to force Game 6 in Edmonton on Friday. The Oilers' offense has been dominant in the 2025 playoffs -- they're averaging a league-leading 4.20 goals per game.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: First off ahead of Game 4

Hill was the first goaltender off the ice at Monday's morning skate, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports, indicating he will defend the road net against Edmonton in Game 4. Hill made 17 saves in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Oilers, ending his two-game losing skid. He has a 5-4 record with a 3.14 GAA and an .872 save percentage through nine appearances this postseason. Edmonton leads the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs with 4.33 goals per game.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: First off ahead of Game 3

Hill was the first goaltender off the ice at the morning skate, according to Jesse Granger of The Athletic, indicating he will defend the road net against Edmonton on Saturday in Game 3. Hill has surrendered nine goals on 65 shots in two straight losses to the Oilers in Round 2 of the playoffs. He has a 4-4 record with a 3.16 GAA and an .874 save percentage in eight appearances this postseason. Hill has won his last two road outings, stopping 58 of 63 shots.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Poor showing Thursday

Hill stopped 32 of 37 shots in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2. Hill was done in by a bad second period, in which he allowed three goals in a span of 5:46. The Golden Knights bounced back from that, and Hill had some redemption during overtime when he helped kill off Nicolas Roy's major penalty for cross-checking. Leon Draisaitl still gave the Oilers the win at 15:20 of the extra session. Hill has surrendered nine goals on 65 shots over two games in the second round. Still, it doesn't seem likely that the Golden Knights would turn the crease over to Akira Schmid or Ilya Samsonov, especially given the power of the Oilers' offense. Game 3 is in Edmonton on Saturday.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Set to face Edmonton

Hill is expected to start at home against Edmonton for Game 2 on Thursday, per Jesse Granger of The Athletic. Hill stopped 24 of 28 shots en route to a 4-2 loss to the Oilers on Tuesday. He hasn't stood out in the postseason, posting a 4-3 record, 3.01 GAA and .876 save percentage across seven outings. Edmonton leads the league in playoff goals per game with 4.43.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Getting start in Game 1

Hill will guard the home goal versus the Oilers in Game 1 on Tuesday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports. It's no surprise Hill continues to start in goal for the Golden Knights. He wasn't at his best in the first round versus the Wild, as he had a 2.83 GAA and an .880 save percentage over six games. The 28-year-old's numbers aren't all that likely to improve against a high-powered Edmonton offense, but Vegas' depth should help keep things close.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Tending twine Thursday

Hill will be between the visiting pipes for Game 6 in Minnesota on Thursday, per Jesse Granger of The Athletic. Hill was stellar in Game 5 on Tuesday, turning aside 20 shots in a 3-2 overtime win versus the Wild. He is 3-2 in the playoffs thus far, allowing 15 goals on only 111 shots (.865 save percentage). He had a career-best regular season in 2024-25, posting a 32-13-5 record with four shutouts, a 2.47 GAA and a .906 save percentage across 50 appearances.

  • Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Grabs overtime win

Hill stopped 20 of 22 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Wild in Game 5. Hill did enough to get his second win in a row, though he got a big assist from the Golden Knights' video crew to overturn a Wild go-ahead goal for being offside late in the third period. Hill is 3-2 this postseason, but he's allowed 15 goals over those five games. The 28-year-old will have a chance to close out the series in Minnesota on Thursday in Game 6.
