Stars' Michael Bunting: Likely to miss additional action
Bunting (lower body) isn't expected to be return to the lineup in the near future, per Owen Newkirk of DLLS Sports on Tuesday.
After getting hurt in Sunday's 2-1 overtime loss to Philadelphia, Bunting will miss at least 10 days and might not be available to play before the end of the regular season. Since being acquired from Nashville on March 5, he has one goal, one assist, 13 shots on net and seven hits in 11 appearances with Dallas.

Stars' Michael Bunting: Unavailable Tuesday
Bunting (lower body) won't play against Boston on Tuesday, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
Bunting will miss at least one game after getting injured in Sunday's 2-1 overtime loss to Philadelphia. He has accounted for 14 goals, 33 points, 121 shots on net and 42 hits in 72 games between Dallas and Nashville this season. Cameron Hughes will replace Bunting in Tuesday's lineup against the Bruins.

Bunting (lower body) didn't return to Sunday's game against Philadelphia after exiting in the first period, Robert Tiffin of D Magazine reports.
Bunting was deemed questionable to return during the first intermission Sunday, but he ultimately didn't get back on the ice during the final two periods. Head coach Glen Gulutzan said he doesn't believe Bunting will be forced to miss too much time. However, it's not yet clear when the 30-year-old forward will be able to return. His next opportunity to play will be Tuesday against the Bruins.

Bunting exited Sunday's matchup in the first period after recording a hit and a shot in 3:46 of ice time. Bunting scored the first goal of the year for the Predators just under seven minutes into regulation. It's an encouraging sign to see Bunting contribute to Nashville's offense in the early going after taking a step back on the attack last season. His 38 points a year ago was his lowest mark since the 2020-21 campaign. The 30-year-old winger has played for four teams in the past four seasons (Toronto, Carolina, Pittsburgh, Nashville), but he's showing signs of settling into his role on the left wing in the early portion of 2025-26. His current value is best suited for deeper leagues.
