  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Extends streak with goal

Morrissey scored a goal on three shots and blocked four shots in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Hurricanes.

Morrissey's point streak is up to seven games after his game-tying tally at 3:45 of the first period. The 30-year-old defenseman has four goals and seven assists during the streak, which is just a further showcase of his steady offense from the Jets' top pairing. He's up to five goals, 22 points, 36 shots on net, 43 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 20 outings overall. After being limited to 14 goals and 62 points in 80 regular-season contests a year ago, Morrissey is on pace to push for career-best production in all of the offensive categories in 2025-26.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Point streak up to six games

Morrissey recorded a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

Morrissey gave the Jets a 2-1 lead early in the second period with a tip-in, and he'd later assist Kyle Connor's goal in the third period to boost Winnipeg's lead to 4-1. Morrissey only has four goals, but he's among the best playmaking defensemen in the NHL and is up to 17 assists, good for third in the league among blueliners. His ongoing six-game point streak includes three multi-point performances, three goals, seven assists, 10 shots on goal, 12 blocked shots, four hits and a minus-1 rating.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Registers two assists

Morrissey logged two assists, including one on the power play, and blocked three shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Flames.

Morrissey has two goals and six helpers during his five-game point streak. He's also earned at least one power-play point in three straight contests. For the season, the defenseman is up to three goals, 16 helpers, six power-play points, 32 shots on net, 36 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 18 appearances. Morrissey is among the top tier of fantasy blueliners, and it doesn't look like he'll be losing that status this year.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Leads team in win

Morrissey scored a power-play goal, dished two assists and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Canucks.

Morrissey has gotten on the scoresheet in eight of the Jets' last nine games, with the lone exception being last Tuesday's shutout loss to the Kings. The 30-year-old blueliner had two points, including his goal, in the first period, and he added a power-play helper on Gabriel Vilardi's tally in the third. Morrissey is up to three goals, 16 points (four on the power play), 30 shots on net, 31 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 16 contests. All three of his goals have come in the last six games.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Scores lone goal in loss

Morrissey scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Sharks.

Morrissey buried a quick shot off a faceoff win at 12:34 of the first period. The Jets held that 1-0 lead for all of 1:12 before Macklin Celebrini tied the game, which then settled into a stalemate until Will Smith's third-period tally tipped it in favor of the Sharks. Morrissey has gotten on the scoresheet in six of the last seven games, and in total, he has two goals, 10 assists, 25 shots on net, 27 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 14 appearances. He'll continue to be one of the most reliable scoring blueliners in fantasy while playing on a strong team.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: One of each Thursday

Morrissey scored a goal, added an assist and went plus-3 in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Morrissey has logged three multi-point efforts during his four-game point streak. The defenseman is up to a goal and nine assists this year, and all but two of the helpers have come during the streak. The 30-year-old has added 18 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating over 11 appearances. He'll remain a consistently strong performer on offense as part of the Jets' high-end offense.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Picks up two assists

Morrissey picked up two assists and added three shots in Sunday's 3-2 loss to Utah.

After a three-assist showing against Calgary on Friday, Morrissey followed up with two more helpers Sunday night. He also chipped in three shots, two blocks and a hit, reinforcing his all-around fantasy value. Morrissey is tracking toward another 60-point campaign and should be locked into fantasy lineups across all formats.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Distributes three helpers

Morrissey notched three assists, including one on the power play, and added two shots on net, two hits, three blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Friday's 5-3 win over the Flames.

Morrissey had his first multi-point effort of the season, and it's pretty safe to assume it won't be his last. The 30-year-old has had a rough start to 2025-26, but Friday's effort put him at five assists through eight contests. He's been just fine on the defensive side, racking up 17 blocks, six hits and a plus-7 rating in his usual spot on the Jets' top pairing.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Sends helper in win

Morrissey notched an assist, three shots on goal and four blocked shots in Monday's 2-1 win over the Flames.

Morrissey has had a rather quiet start to the season with two assists across six games. He's still in a top-pairing role with ice time in all situations, so he'll bounce back over a larger sample. The 30-year-old defenseman has added seven shots on net, 12 blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-6 rating as the Jets' leader on the blue line.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Healthy ahead of training camp

Morrissey (knee) is at full health ahead of training camp, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports Wednesday.

Morrissey is on Team Canada's list for its Olympic orientation camp, and he is participating on the ice. Morrissey suffered a similar injury to his opposite knee a couple of years ago, and he was able to get back to on-ice activities earlier in the summer, so he has had a fairly normal offseason routine. In addition to his Olympic hopes, the 30-year-old is poised to play a massive role on the Jets' top pairing and first power-play unit in the 2025-26 NHL campaign. He exceeded the 60-point mark for the third year in a row during the 2024-25 regular season.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Won't need knee surgery

Morrissey (knee) stated Tuesday that he will not require surgery for the injury he sustained in Game 6 against the Stars, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.

Morrissey also said that his knee injury probably would have kept him sidelined for the remainder of the playoffs had the Jets advanced past the Stars. It's unclear if Morrissey will be ready for the start of training camp in September, but he has plenty of time to attempt to make a full recovery. The left-shot blueliner has two seasons remaining on the eight-year, $50 million contract he signed with Winnipeg in September of 2019.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Needs further evaluation

Morrissey sustained a knee injury in Saturday's Game 6 loss to the Stars, and head coach Scott Arniel specified that the injury is "not good," Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.

Morrissey was injured when Mikko Rantanen fell on his leg in the second period. Given the update from Arniel, it's likely Morrissey would have missed some time had the Jets been able to extend their season. The severity of the injury may be revealed once the defenseman is evaluated back in Winnipeg. If surgery is required, this injury may impact his availability for training camp and the start of the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Pockets helper in loss

Morrissey notched an assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Stars in Game 4.

Morrissey has earned a helper in three straight games after missing the series opener. The 30-year-old defenseman is up to six assists, 16 shots on net, 18 hits, 17 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 10 playoff outings. He'll need to be at his best for the rest of the second round, as the Jets are facing elimination down 3-1 in the series after Tuesday's loss.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Flashes playmaking skills Sunday

Morrissey threaded an assist and went plus-2 in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Stars in Game 3.

Morrissey's hands and vision were on full display when he danced around the Stars' Colin Blackwell inside the blue line and found Nino Niederreiter for a one-timer to tie the game at 2-2, but the Jets were blanked by Jake Oettinger the rest of the way. Morrissey has earned a helper in back-to-back outings after sitting out Game 1 due to an upper-body injury, and he'll be heavily relied upon for offense again in Game 4 on Tuesday as the Jets try to avoid a 3-1 series deficit. The 30-year-old defenseman has logged no less than 22:39 of ice time in both matchups since returning to the lineup, so he doesn't seem to be bothered by the injury that knocked him out of Game 7 in the first round against St. Louis.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Earns assist in return

Morrissey logged an assist, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 4-0 win over the Stars in Game 2.

Morrissey missed the opening game of the second round due to the upper-body injury he sustained in Game 7 versus the Blues. The 30-year-old looked fine Friday, logging 22:39 of ice time in his return after the brief absence. The defenseman has been a little quiet this postseason, earning four helpers, 12 shots on net, 16 hits, 12 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over eight appearances. Even with less offense, he's in no danger of losing his top-pairing spot.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Set to play in Game 2

Morrissey (upper body) is set to return to the lineup for Friday's Game 2 versus the Stars, Murat Ates of The Athletic reports.

Morrissey missed nearly two whole games after getting hurt early in Game 7 of the first round versus the Blues. The 30-year-old will resume his top-pairing role and retake his place on the first power-play unit. The Jets are working from behind after dropping Game 1 to the Stars by a 3-2 score Wednesday, but getting Morrissey back should help them in all zones.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Game-time decision Friday

Morrissey (upper body) is a game-time decision ahead of Friday's Game 2 versus Dallas, according to John Lu of TSN.

Morrissey was injured in Game 7 versus St. Louis and sat out Game 1 on Wednesday versus the Stars. Morrissey will quarterback the Jets' top power play, should he return Friday. He had three assists in the opening round of the playoffs, after potting 14 goals and adding 48 assists in 80 regular-season games during the 2024-25 campaign.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Missing Game 1

Morrissey (upper body) won't play in Wednesday's Game 1 versus the Stars, John Lu of TSN reports.

Morrissey was considered a game-time decision but was in a non-contact jersey during Tuesday's optional skate. The 30-year-old defenseman will be forced to miss at least one game after suffering the injury in Game 7 of the first round versus the Blues. Haydn Fleury is set to be in the lineup to cover Morrissey's absence.
