Avalanche's Brock Nelson: One of each in win
Nelson scored a power-play goal on four shots and added an assist in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Rangers.
Nelson has a four-game point streak going, earning three goals and three assists in that span. He's put up multiple points in each of the last two contests, the first times he's done that this season. The second-line center is up to six goals, five helpers, 35 shots on net, 15 blocked shots, 12 hits, 10 PIM and a plus-10 rating through 20 outings. His tally Thursday was his first power-play point since Opening Night, and his offense should increase if he can improve in that situation.

The center has five tallies, nine points, 31 shots on net, 15 blocked shots, 11 hits, 10 PIM and a plus-10 rating through 19 appearances.

Avalanche's Brock Nelson: Finds twine in win
Nelson scored a goal on three shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Sabres.
Nelson still hasn't produced a multi-point effort this year, but he has three goals and two helpers over his last nine outings. That's nothing special, but it's better than his quiet start to the season. Overall, the second-line center is at seven points, 28 shots on net, 14 blocked shots, 10 hits, 10 PIM and a plus-9 rating over 18 appearances.

Avalanche's Brock Nelson: Lights lamp Friday
Nelson scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 4-2 win over the Golden Knights.

He's added 19 shots on net, nine hits, 10 blocked shots, eight PIM and a plus-5 rating over 12 appearances in a second-line role.

Avalanche's Brock Nelson: Grabs goal in defeat
Nelson registered a goal on two shots on target, a plus-1 rating and two penalty minutes during his 17:40 of ice time in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Devils.
It's been a tough start to the season for Nelson offensively, so it's a good sign to see him get a goal against the Devils. The 34-year-old has seen plenty of ice time and has a plus-4 rating, but whether that's more to do with him or the quality of the team around him remains to be seen. Both fantasy managers and the Avalanche alike will need much more from Nelson, who had his ninth 20-goal season in the NHL just last year but has mustered only three points through 10 games in 2025-26.
