Top Filip Forsberg News

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Scores against Pittsburgh

Forsberg scored a goal in Friday's 2-1 overtime win over the Penguins.

Forsberg extended his point streak to four games with a backhander at the 18:50 mark of the third period, giving him eight goals on the season. Point streak aside, Forsberg has been very productive of late and has cracked the scoresheet in nine of Nashville's last 11 games. Through that 11-game stretch, Forsberg has notched 11 points (six goals, five assists), 34 shots and a plus-3 rating.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Tickles twine in loss

Forsberg scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM and doled out four hits in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Stars.

Forsberg is off to a strong start in November, logging three goals and two assists over five games this month. The 31-year-old winger gave the Predators their first lead of the contest, a 3-2 advantage at 5:10 of the second period. For the season, he has been a decent performer with seven goals, 13 points, 52 shots on net, 39 hits and an even plus-minus rating across 17 appearances, though he is more than capable of upping his offense into the point-per-game neighborhood.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Two points in OT loss

Forsberg scored an even-strength goal on a team-high nine shots on net and added a power-play assist and a hit in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Canucks.

The veteran winger opened the scoring early in the first period by getting the puck past Thatcher Demko on his second whack from in close, before feeding Erik Haula for a one-timer late in the second. Forsberg has gotten onto the scoresheet in five of the last six games, and through 14 contests on the season, he's delivered six goals and 11 points while racking up 46 shots on net -- tied for 10th in the NHL -- and 32 hits.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Fills empty cage

Forsberg scored an empty-net goal on two shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Flames.

Forsberg has three goals and two assists over his last five games. His empty-netter put a bow on the Predators' first win in four contests. The 31-year-old winger is up to five goals, nine points, 37 shots on net, 31 hits and a minus-1 rating through 13 appearances this season. He's playing on the top line and first power-play unit, and it's safe to say Nashville's scoring struggles as a team won't have anything to do with Forsberg's individual performance.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Pots goal in loss

Forsberg scored a goal, added three hits and logged two PIM in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Lightning.

Forsberg has two goals and two assists during his three-game point streak. The Predators have been limited to two goals or fewer in eight of their 11 games, but Forsberg has remained decently productive with four goals, four assists, 33 shots on net, 27 hits and four PIM so far. The 31-year-old winger should continue to play on the top line and first power-play unit throughout the campaign.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: One of each in shootout win

Forsberg scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, logged two hits and went plus-3 in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Kings.

Forsberg secured his first multi-point effort of the season, scoring early in the second period before setting up Ryan O'Reilly's equalizer with 5:16 left in the third. Although three goals and three helpers over nine games is decent production for most players, it amounts to a bit of a slow start for Forsberg. The power winger has added 28 shots on net, 23 hits and a plus-1 rating. He'll have every chance to up his production while playing on the top line and first power-play unit.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Tallies in loss

Forsberg scored a goal on three shots and added three hits in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Ducks.

Forsberg ended a three-game slump with his second-period goal. The 31-year-old has two tallies, four points, 22 shots on net, 20 hits and a minus-2 rating over seven appearances this season. He's arguably the Predators' best player and should still generate plenty of offense, but with the team off to a 2-3-2 start, it looks like another season of team-wide struggles could be on the horizon.

Forsberg scored a goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Mammoth.

Forsberg scored his first goal of the campaign at the 7:23 mark of the first period with a snap shot that went past Karel Vejmelka. The right winger has cracked the scoresheet in Nashville's first two games of the season since he also had an assist in the 2-1 win over Columbus on Oct. 9.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Starts campaign with helper

Forsberg dished out a power-play assist and blocked two shots in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Blue Jackets.

Forsberg had the primary assist on Ryan O'Reilly's game-winning goal in the third period. Forsberg led all forwards in ice time and picked up where he left off last year with over three minutes on the man advantage. The 31-year-old Forsberg has posted 40-plus assists in three of the last four seasons and is in a strong position to reach that mark this year. Starting alongside Ryan O'Reilly and Brady Martin, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, on the top line, Nashville's new look in the top six will give Forsberg more options to work with offensively. Despite regressing to 76 points from 94 the year prior, Forsberg is still an elite player in fantasy this season.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Dishes pair of assists

Forsberg recorded two assists, including one on the power play, in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Stars.

Forsberg led the Predators with 76 points this season, including three goals and six assists over eight games in April. The winger added 281 shots on net, 151 hits, 44 PIM and a minus-27 rating across 82 contests. Forsberg's 11.0 shooting percentage was his lowest in the last four years, a span in which he's topped the 40-goal mark twice. Despite the Predators' poor season, Forsberg still provided value for fantasy managers, and he should be a strong option for 2025-26, especially if the team around him bounces back.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Strikes on power play

Forsberg scored a power-play goal on four shots and blocked two shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over Utah.

Forsberg's point streak is up to five games (three goals, three assists). His tally early in the third period tied the game at 2-2. The winger is up to 31 goals, 73 points, 277 shots on net, 144 hits, 46 blocked shots and a minus-23 rating over 79 appearances. The three best seasons of Forsberg's career have come over the last four years, and he's largely been able to defy the Predators' team-wide struggles in 2024-25.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Reaches 30-goal mark

Forsberg netted his 30th goal of the season and added a power-play assist in Tuesday's 7-6 overtime win over the Islanders.

Forsberg capitalized on an egregious turnover from Kyle MacLean and ripped one past Ilya Sorokin to give Nashville a 2-1 lead at 11:45 of the first period. The 30-year-old Forsberg added a helper on Steven Stamkos' tally with the man advantage late in the third. Forsberg has now reached the 30-goal mark for the fifth time in his 13-year career, and he continues to spearhead the Preds on offense with 42 assists and 72 points through 78 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Garners helper in loss

Forsberg logged an assist, three shots on goal, four hits and two blocked shots in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Canadiens.

Forsberg has 11 points over his last 11 contests, getting on the scoresheet in nine of those games. He's been one of the few consistent forwards in Nashville's lineup this season, but even the 30-year-old winger has seen a dip in offense. He reached the 70-point mark Sunday (29 goals, 41 assists), and he's added 270 shots on net, 140 hits, 44 blocked shots and a minus-20 rating over 77 appearances.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: First goal in five games

Forsberg scored a goal in an 8-4 loss to Columbus on Tuesday.

It was his first goal in five games. Forsberg has been an offensive stalwart for the sad-sack Predators. He has 29 goals and 68 points this season. It's not the 94-point outburst Forsberg put up last season, but it's more than respectable, especially in such a struggle of a season.
