Top Filip Forsberg News

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Scores goal Saturday

Forsberg scored a goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Mammoth.

Forsberg scored his first goal of the campaign at the 7:23 mark of the first period with a snap shot that went past Karel Vejmelka. The right winger has cracked the scoresheet in Nashville's first two games of the season since he also had an assist in the 2-1 win over Columbus on Oct. 9.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Starts campaign with helper

Forsberg dished out a power-play assist and blocked two shots in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Blue Jackets.

Forsberg had the primary assist on Ryan O'Reilly's game-winning goal in the third period. Forsberg led all forwards in ice time and picked up where he left off last year with over three minutes on the man advantage. The 31-year-old Forsberg has posted 40-plus assists in three of the last four seasons and is in a strong position to reach that mark this year. Starting alongside Ryan O'Reilly and Brady Martin, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, on the top line, Nashville's new look in the top six will give Forsberg more options to work with offensively. Despite regressing to 76 points from 94 the year prior, Forsberg is still an elite player in fantasy this season.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Dishes pair of assists

Forsberg recorded two assists, including one on the power play, in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Stars.

Forsberg led the Predators with 76 points this season, including three goals and six assists over eight games in April. The winger added 281 shots on net, 151 hits, 44 PIM and a minus-27 rating across 82 contests. Forsberg's 11.0 shooting percentage was his lowest in the last four years, a span in which he's topped the 40-goal mark twice. Despite the Predators' poor season, Forsberg still provided value for fantasy managers, and he should be a strong option for 2025-26, especially if the team around him bounces back.

Forsberg scored a power-play goal on four shots and blocked two shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over Utah.

The winger is up to 31 goals, 73 points, 277 shots on net, 144 hits, 46 blocked shots and a minus-23 rating over 79 appearances. The three best seasons of Forsberg's career have come over the last four years, and he's largely been able to defy the Predators' team-wide struggles in 2024-25.

Forsberg has now reached the 30-goal mark for the fifth time in his 13-year career, and he continues to spearhead the Preds on offense with 42 assists and 72 points through 78 appearances in 2024-25.

Forsberg has 11 points over his last 11 contests, getting on the scoresheet in nine of those games. He's been one of the few consistent forwards in Nashville's lineup this season, but even the 30-year-old winger has seen a dip in offense. He reached the 70-point mark Sunday (29 goals, 41 assists), and he's added 270 shots on net, 140 hits, 44 blocked shots and a minus-20 rating over 77 appearances.

Forsberg scored a goal in an 8-4 loss to Columbus on Tuesday.

It was his first goal in five games. Forsberg has been an offensive stalwart for the sad-sack Predators. He has 29 goals and 68 points this season. It's not the 94-point outburst Forsberg put up last season, but it's more than respectable, especially in such a struggle of a season.

  • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Nets power-play goal Sunday

Forsberg scored a power-play goal and tallied five shots on net in Sunday's 4-1 loss to St. Louis.

At 65 tallies, Forsberg is tied for 32nd in the league in points and leads the Predators in that category by 16. Despite Nashville's struggles as a team, Forsberg has maintained solid fantasy value in all formats and is on pace to break the 70-point threshold for the third time in the past four seasons. With a four-game point streak and steady power-play time, Forsberg can be trusted in all formats for the fantasy playoffs.

Forsberg scored a goal on three shots and added four PIM in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Jets.

The winger should have been in form after playing with Team Sweden during the tournament, but he got out of a rhythm by going scoreless in all three of Sweden's games. The 30-year-old is up to 22 goals, 54 points, 208 shots on net, 114 hits, 34 PIM and a minus-13 rating over 58 NHL appearances. • Predators' Filip Forsberg: Two points in losing effort

Forsberg scored an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Senators.

The 30-year-old winger did his best to keep Nashville in the game, opening the scoring early in the second period and then helping to set up a tying tally by Jonathan Marchessault just 47 seconds into the third, but Ottawa took control after that. Forsberg snapped a brief three-game point drought with the performance, but he's been very productive over the last month-plus, racking up 10 goals and 21 points in 14 contests since the beginning of January.
