Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Collects pair of points
Rakell scored a goal, dished an assist and added three hits in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Flyers in Game 4.
Rakell has a goal, three assists, seven shots on net, nine hits and a plus-1 rating over four contests in this first-round series. The 32-year-old has filled a top-six role, as expected. Rakell had made the playoffs on six previous occasions, racking up 19 points across 48 games in those postseason runs. He earned 48 points in 60 regular-season outings this year, so he has some scoring potential to tap into if the Penguins can keep the series alive again in Monday's Game 5.

Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Participating in practice
Rakell (rest) was back on the ice for Thursday's practice session, Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site reports.
Rakell was limited to just 60 regular-season games this year, tallying 24 goals and 24 helpers, including 16 power-play points along the way. The Swede has found himself primarily shifted to center this season, allowing Evgeni Malkin to move to the wing. In addition to anchoring the second line, Rakell should continue to feature on the No. 1 power-play unit.

Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Held out against Blues
Rakell will not dress against St. Louis on Tuesday as Pittsburgh rests its veterans for the playoffs, per Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports.
Rakell has 24 goals and 48 points across 60 appearances in 2025-26, a solid bounce-back showing after missing significant time to injury early in the season. The 33-year-old winger heated up considerably down the stretch, recording seven goals during a six-game point streak in late March. He's a reliable secondary scorer on Pittsburgh's top line and holds solid fantasy value heading into the postseason.

Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Nets pair of goals Sunday
Rakell scored two goals on three shots in Sunday's 5-2 win over Florida.
Rakell found the back of the net on a power play late in the opening period before later striking his second goal towards the end of the second. The 32-year-old forward currently has an eight-game point streak and has at least one point in 16 of his last 17 outings. He's scored 13 goals and compiled 23 points in that span, which is tied for sixth across the NHL. He's been excellent on a per-game basis this season with 24 goals, 48 points, 154 shots on net, 71 hits and 39 blocked shots across 57 appearances. Rakell remains a strong fantasy option for the remainder of the regular season.

Rakell scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 9-4 rout of Florida.
Both points came in the second period as the Penguins broke open a 2-2 tie. Rakell has gotten onto the scoresheet in seven straight games, piling up eight goals and 11 points over that stretch, and on the season he's contributed 22 goals and 46 points in 56 contests.

Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Streak at six games, nine points
Rakell scored a goal Thursday in a 6-3 loss to the Lightning.
Rakell's goal streak stands at three games (four), and his point streak sits at six games (seven goals, two assists). He has 19 shots in that span. It took Rakell a bit to get back up to game speed this season -- he has played in 55 games. But he's peaking for the fantasy playoffs, and that's a huge bonus for managers.

Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Stays hot with another goal
Rakell scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Red Wings.
Rakell has found the back of the net in five of his last seven games, a stretch in which he's posted seven goals on 18 shots. That's not a sustainable shooting percentage, but Rakell should remain a popular fantasy option down the stretch. He has 19 points (10 goals, nine helpers) in 19 games since the Olympic break.

Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Back on score sheet
Rakell scored a goal Tuesday in a 6-2 loss to Colorado.
It was his 15th of the season. Rakell had his eight-game, 10-point scoring streak snapped Sunday, so it's great that he's back on the score sheet. The Pens dropped to third in the Metropolitan Division with the loss, and they're just one point ahead of the Islanders, who are fourth. Rakell is one of the scoring leaders on the team, and he'll need to keep this pace up over the stretch to help secure the playoff spot.

Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Two helpers in Crosby's return
Rakell notched two assists, one on the power play, in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime loss to Carolina.
With Sidney Crosby back in the lineup, Rakell was reunited with his usual center and helped set up Pittsburgh's captain for the team's first goal of the night. Rakell then had a hand on Erik Karlsson's first tally of the game just 59 seconds into the third. Rakell has been staying productive even without Crosby, as Wednesday's effort extended his point streak to seven games -- a stretch in which he's collected two goals and nine points, with four of his assists coming on the power play.

He was able to get the Penguins on the board in the second period, but the 32-year-old couldn't carry the team's offense in this tough matchup. Rakell has 13 goals, 30 points, 121 shots on net, 59 hits, 35 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 44 appearances this season. He'll continue to function as the top-line center while the Penguins wait for Evgeni Malkin (suspension) to return Monday.
