Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Not slated to start Sunday
Rotowire
Rodgers (wrist) is not in line to start Sunday's game against the Bears, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Per Rapoport, Rodgers was pushing to play Sunday, but the veteran QB is slated to give way to Mason Rudolph in Week 12. The report adds, however, that Rodgers should be able to return to the lineup next weekend against the Bills.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Status for Sunday still uncertain
Rotowire
Rodgers (wrist), who is officially questionable for Sunday's matchup against Chicago, "has been pushing to play," but Steelers doctors have been "cautious and guarded" about clearing the veteran quarterback, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Schefter notes that if Rodgers is left to decide his status, he'll play, but adds that Pittsburgh hasn't given any hints about the outcome of the decision. Rodgers is dealing with a minor fracture to his left (non-throwing) wrist that isn't expected to require surgery, and he has suggested that the determination about his ability to suit up Sunday hinges on whether the issue will inhibit him from protecting himself. Fantasy managers may not know Rodgers' playing status until the Steelers release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, and at this point, his likelihood of playing seems to be about 50/50. Mason Rudolph would draw the start in Chicago if Rodgers is unable to play through the injury.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Questionable after limited practice
Rotowire
Coach Mike Tomlin noted Friday that Rodgers (left wrist) was limited at practice Friday and will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears, Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Earlier this week, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com relayed that Rodgers' Week 12 status is, in the words of the QB, "a safety thing" rather than a pain-management issue. In the wake of back-to-back practices, Rodgers could end up being a game-day call, but fortunately for those considering him in fantasy lineups this week, the Steelers kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday. If he's unavailable versus Chicago, however, Mason Rudolph would be in line to draw the start in his place.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Returns to limited practice
Rotowire
Rodgers (left wrist) was limited in his return to practice Thursday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
After logging a DNP on Wednesday, Rodgers returned to a limited session a day later, while sporting "some sort of stabilizer" on his left non-throwing wrist, per Pryor. As for his chances of playing Sunday against the Bears, Rodgers told Pryor on Wednesday that he'd need to be able to "protect" himself in order to do so. In any case, unless Rodgers practices fully Friday, he'll presumably head into the weekend with an injury designation. If he's unavailable versus Chicago, Mason Rudolph would be in line to start in his place.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: At practice Thursday
Rotowire
Rodgers (wrist) was present for practice Thursday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Per Pryor, Rodgers' left wrist was in "some sort of stabilizer" as he was spotted doing individual reps Thursday. On the heels of a DNP on Wednesday, the veteran QB's presence at practice a day later is encouraging, though it seems likely he'll be officially listed by the Steelers as a limited participant.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Hopes to practice Thursday
Rotowire
Rodgers (wrist) didn't practice Wednesday but hopes to return Thursday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Rodgers told reporters that he's currently more comfortable taking snaps in shotgun but hopes to be ready for snaps under center later this week. He said his Sunday availability will be a matter of safety and functionality, not pain management, deferring to coach Mike Tomlin on any potential timeline for naming the Week 12 starter. Mason Rudolph will lead the first-team offense during Wednesday's practice.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Considered 50-50 for Week 12
Rotowire
Rodgers (wrist) will undergo further medical evaluation Monday and has been described by NFL sources as "50-50" to face the Bears in Week 12, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Rodgers suffered an injury to his left, non-throwing wrist and was forced out early during Pittsburgh's win over the Bengals in Week 11, which Adam Schefter of ESPN reports may be a minor fracture. Whether or not the veteran quarterback is at risk of exacerbating the injury, and whether he can properly grip a football, will be the major deciding factors in his availability. Mason Rudolph replaced Rodgers to start the third quarter Sunday, completing 12 of 16 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown while rushing once for minus-1 yard. If Rodgers isn't able to suit up on the road against Chicago, Rudolph will presumably draw the start while rookie sixth-round pick Will Howard, who recently came off IR, handles the No. 2 role.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Likely to miss Week 12
Rotowire
Rodgers may be dealing with "a slight break" in his left wrist, and backup Mason Rudolph is likely to start in Week 12 against the Bears, though the full extent of Rodgers' injury won't be determined until he undergoes further testing Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Rodgers got hurt late in the first half of Sunday's 34-12 win over the Bengals and didn't return for the second half. The injury is to Rodgers' left, non-throwing wrist. Monday's evaluation should help establish a recovery timetable for Rodgers while providing clarification regarding the nature of his wrist injury. Per Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Rodgers is optimistic that he won't face an extended absence.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Exits Sunday's game
Rotowire
Rodgers (left hand) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Bengals, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
With Rodgers sidelined, Mason Rudolph is in at QB for the Steelers. Prior to his exit from the contest, Rodgers completed nine of his 15 pass attempts for 116 yards and a TD and carried once for eight yards.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Shut down by Chargers
Rotowire
Rodgers completed 16 of 31 passes for 161 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 25-10 loss to the Chargers.
The Steelers had minimal success moving the ball at any point when the outcome was in doubt, and Rodgers made several uncharacteristic mistakes. He took a safety midway through the first quarter and then overthrew his intended targets several times, including an interception late in the second quarter that led to a touchdown for the Chargers. Rodgers managed to lead a garbage-time drive late in the fourth quarter to rack up 64 yards and a touchdown to pad his stat line, but he has now averaged 6.1 yards per attempt or fewer in three straight games.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: QBs to Sit
Rotowire
Rodgers only scored 14.1 Fantasy points in Week 9 against Indianapolis, and the Steelers still won with five turnovers, along with two rushing touchdowns from Jaylen Warren. This week, Rodgers has a tough matchup against the Chargers, who are No. 4 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Only three quarterbacks this season have scored at least 20 Fantasy points against the Chargers, which were Patrick Mahomes in Week 1, Jaxson Dart in Week 4 and Daniel Jones in Week 7. I would only start Rodgers in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 10.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: QBs to Sit
Rotowire
There are several quarterbacks this week that I like, but I don't expect them to perform at a high level. And Rodgers is one of those guys. He's scored at least 20.8 Fantasy points in three games in a row, and I can see him being in that range or slightly lower against the Colts. It's not a daunting matchup since four quarterbacks this season have scored at least 24.7 Fantasy points against Indianapolis, but Rodgers has only reached that total twice this year. He's a great starter in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues, but I don't love his upside in one-quarterback leagues in Week 9.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Falls short against former club
Rotowire
Rodgers completed 24 of 36 pass attempts for 219 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 35-25 loss to Green Bay.
Rodgers failed to lift Pittsburgh to its fifth win after coming up short against his former club on the national stage. The 41-year-old still produced a solid fantasy score after throwing multiple touchdowns for the fifth time in seven starts with the Steelers. With 16 touchdown passes on the year, Rodgers is on pace to finish with 30-plus touchdowns for the first time since 2022, his final season as a member of the Packers. The future Hall of Famer will have to overcome a tough matchup against the Colts next Sunday in order to get Pittsburgh back in the win column following consecutive losses.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Four TDs in losing effort
Rotowire
Rodgers completed 23 of 34 passes for 249 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions and rushed once for six yards in the Steelers' 33-31 loss to the Bengals on Thursday night.
Rodgers was outshined by fellow veteran signal-caller Joe Flacco, but the former still tied a season high in touchdown passes. Rodgers connected with Pat Freiermuth for half his scoring tosses -- from 19 and 68 yards out -- and his other two TD strikes went to Freiermuth's position mates Jonnu Smith (10 yards) and Darnell Washington (two yards). Rodgers made several impressive throws throughout the night, including the second touchdown to Freiermuth and his game-ending Hail Mary attempt, corroborating he still has plenty of arm strength and continues to demonstrate his mostly difficult 2024 season with the Jets may have just been a hiccup. Rodgers and his teammates will next turn their attention to a Week 8 home showdown against the Packers on Sunday night, Oct. 26.
Rodgers has faced a difficult schedule over the last month, and gets the Packers in Week 8, so a one-week reprieve against the Bengals should feel like a layup. The Bengals are surrendering 7.95 yards per pass attempt and have given up multiple passing touchdowns in four of their last five games. Rodgers' 7.4 yards per attempt is his best mark since 2021, and he is still producing TDs at a high rate like he almost always has.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Long touchdown keys day
Rotowire
Rodgers completed 18 of 22 passes for 200 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 24-21 win over the Vikings. He added three rushes for eight yards.
The Steelers played from ahead for most of the game, so Rodgers attempted only eight passes in the second half. He managed to move the offense efficiently when asked, however, with the key to his day being an explosive 80-yard touchdown to DK Metcalf early in the second quarter. This was a return to form for Rodgers, as he had only a 3:3 TD:INT while combining to throw for 332 yards across his last two games. Pittsburgh is likely to continue to rely on its run game and short passes to move the offense, which will lead to inconsistent fantasy results for Rodgers.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Week 3 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Rodgers scored 33.7 Fantasy points in Week 1 at the Jets, but he struggled in Week 2 against Seattle with 203 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He gets New England and Minnesota in his next two games, and that could be favorable for Rodgers in the short term. The Patriots, for example, have been a fantastic matchup in the first two games of the season for Geno Smith and Tua Tagovailoa. Rodgers is worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Picked twice by Seattle
Rotowire
Rodgers completed 18 of 33 passes for 203 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Seahawks.
Rodgers didn't get much help from his pass catchers, but he still had a letdown performance in Week 2. His lone touchdown came on a lofted jump ball to DK Metcalf late in the first half from two yards away, and he also recorded three completions of at least 20 yards -- though Rodgers still managed only 6.2 yards per attempt. While that was a significant departure from Week 1, Rodgers was let down by his pass catchers on a few occasions, most notably on a pass in the end zone that was deflected by Calvin Austin on a pass intended for Pat Freiermuth that was ultimately intercepted. With a subpar offensive line and below-average playmakers around him, it's fair to expect more mediocre fantasy performances from Rodgers moving forward.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Not on injury report
Rotowire
Rodgers (back) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against Seattle.
Rodgers told reporters Wednesday that back tightness impacted his mobility during a 34-32 win over the Jets this past Sunday. He's apparently moved past it, healthy for Week 2 and hoping to build on a four-TD showing in his Steelers debut.

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Week 2 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Maybe he's not washed up after all. Rodgers, 41, lit up the Jets for 244 passing yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions on 22-of-30 completions. I wouldn't expect 33.7 Fantasy points on a weekly basis, but it was a fun start against his former team. He gets Seattle in Week 2 and then New England in Week 3, and he could prove to be a useful starter in deeper leagues. He's worth adding for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.
