Commanders' Rachaad White: Highly efficient in Week 2 loss
White rushed seven times for 43 yards and brought in all six targets for 40 yards in the Commanders' 37-20 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday.
The Commanders fell into catch-up mode throughout the second half, a situation tailor-made for White's pass-catching acumen. The veteran offseason addition saw a hefty workload as a result, recording four more catches on four additional targets than he'd seen in Week 1. White is likely to continue in a complementary role behind Jacory Croskey-Merritt for the time being, but the former figures to continue seeing plenty of run anytime the Commanders are trailing.

Commanders' Rachaad White: Quiet in Commanders debut
White rushed seven times for 22 yards and caught two of three targets for five yards in Sunday's loss to Dallas in Week 1.
White had a long run of nine yards but was held to 13 yards across his other six carries. He did see a substantial amount of action, logging 27 offensive snaps to Jacory Croskey-Merritt's 33, with Kaytron Allen mixing in for six snaps. White was the only one of the trio to gain positive yards through the air, and he's likely to feature as the Commanders' top pass-catching back in 2026 while mostly deferring to Croskey-Merritt on the ground.

Commanders' Rachaad White: Clear of injury report
White (hamstring) wasn't listed on the Commanders' initial Week 1 injury report Wednesday.
White had been tending to a hamstring issue since mid-August, but his ability to avoid the practice report entirely Wednesday indicates he's put the injury behind him. Meanwhile, Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin) was limited to kick off Week 1 prep, leaving one big question mark in Washington's backfield ahead of Sunday's game in Philadelphia.

Commanders' Rachaad White: Won't play Friday
White (hamstring) isn't suited up for Friday's preseason game in Baltimore.
White has been tending to a hamstring injury since Aug. 19 that will keep him sidelined for the Commanders' final two exhibitions. He was able to mix into individual drills as recently as Monday, though, so he's making progress in his recovery. White will join No. 1 RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt (lower body) and Jeremy McNichols (quadriceps) on the sideline Friday.

Commanders' Rachaad White: Back in individual drills Monday
Coach Dan Quinn said White (hamstring) will participate in individual drills at Monday's practice, Ben Standig of Big 100 Washington D.C. reports.
White has been sidelined since last Wednesday due to a hamstring injury and didn't suit up for Saturday's preseason game at Detroit. Now that he's back in the mix at practice, he can continue staking a claim to a Commanders backfield that currently is without top incumbent Jacory Croskey-Merritt (lower body).
