  • Steelers' Zach Frazier: Cleared to face Lions

Frazier (triceps) does not have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Lions, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Frazier was added to the injury report Thursday and didn't practice in any capacity. He returned to a limited session Friday, which will be enough to take on his customary role as Pittsburgh's starting center in Week 16.

  • Steelers' Zach Frazier: Added to injury report

Frazier (triceps) did not practice Thursday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Frazier wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report, so his triceps issue appears to have occurred during practice. The starting center's presence will now need to be monitored ahead of Sunday's contest against Detroit. Frazier will have one more chance to get back on the practice field during Week 16 prep on Friday.

  • Steelers' Zach Frazier: Questionable for Week 8

Frazier (calf) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Packers, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports. The second-year pro from West Virginia upgraded from a DNP on Thursday to a limited practice Friday, suggesting he's trending towards playing in the Week 8 affair. However, if Frazier is sidelined due to a calf injury, Ryan McCollum is expected to step in and start at center.

  • Steelers' Zach Frazier: Past ankle injury

Frazier (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. It appears the Steelers' Week 9 bye was enough time for Frazier to move past his ankle injury. Now that the rookie from West Virginia is back at full health, he's expected to serve as the Steelers' top center in Week 10's matchup against the Commanders.

  • Steelers' Zach Frazier: Unavailable for practice

Frazier (ankle) did not participate at the Steelers' practice Thursday, Teresa Varley of the team's official website reports. Frazier is expected to miss a second game in a row and Thursday's absence seems to reinforce that. The center will have two more chances to return to the practice field prior to Monday's matchup with the Giants.

  • Steelers' Zach Frazier: Onward to the Steel City

The Steelers selected Frazier in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 51st overall. Pittsburgh continues to build up the offensive line in this draft, following up first-rounder Troy Fautanu with Frazier. The West Virginia product was a state champion wrestler in high school, which is often a quality trait that transfers over to playing center. Frazier has the anchor to hold up against stout defenders at 313 pounds with bear-paw hands (10.88 inches) to clutch and redirect. Pittsburgh is adding physicality and talent to its offensive line thus far.
