Browns' Luke Floriea: Lands with Cleveland
The Browns signed Floriea to a reserve/future contract Monday.
The rookie out of Kent State spent the year on Cleveland's practice squad and did not play in an NFL game after going undrafted in 2025. Floriea will participate in the Browns' offseason activities and attempt to earn a spot on their active roster next season.

Luke Floriea: Reaches injury settlement
The Browns waived Floriea (hamstring) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Floriea was set to miss the entire 2025 season after reverting to the Browns' injured reserve Tuesday. The injury settlement allows the Kent State product to sign with a team once he's healthy, and Zac Jackson of The Athletic relays that the Browns are aiming to bring Floriea back to the practice squad once he's fully recovered from his hamstring injury.

Browns' Luke Floriea: Going to IR
Floriea (hamstring) reverted to Cleveland's injured reserve list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Floriea was not claimed by another team after the Browns waived him with an injury designation Monday, and now he'll go to their injured reserve list. Unless he can work out an injury settlement with Cleveland, he'll spend the entire 2025 season on IR recovering from the hamstring injury he suffered during Friday's preseason bout at Carolina.

Luke Floriea: Let go by Cleveland
The Browns waived Floriea (hamstring) with an injury designation Monday.
Floriea suffered a hamstring injury during the Browns' preseason win over the Panthers on Friday, with head coach Kevin Stefanski indicating that the injury is "serious," per Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com. Floriea will revert to the Browns' injured-reserve list if he's not claimed off waivers by another team. Were that to be the case, he would be forced to sit out for the entire 2025 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Browns.

Browns' Luke Floriea: Exits with hamstring injury
Floriea left Friday's preseason game with the Panthers due to a hamstring injury, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
Floriea made a nice one-handed catch in the second quarter down the right sideline, but he appeared to suffer the injury on that play. The Browns also used him as a returner for both punts and kickoffs. Nothing is settled in the receiving corps beyond the top two, and the next few weeks are critical for Floriea's bid for a roster spot. Any missed time will be detrimental.
