  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Week 12 Waiver Priority List

Xavier Legette (hip) left Week 11 at Atlanta, and he might be out in Week 12 at San Francisco. If that happens then Coker could see an increased role, and he's coming off a solid outing against the Falcons with four catches for 52 yards on four targets. Hopefully, Bryce Young will be forced to throw again (he attempted 45 passes against Atlanta), and Coker could be a low-end No. 3 Fantasy receiver in deeper leagues if Legette is out. Coker is worth adding for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Catches four passes vs. Falcons

Coker caught all four of his targets for 52 yards in Sunday's 30-27 overtime win over the Falcons. Coker was one of five Panthers to notch 50 receiving yards in Sunday's win, benefitting from Bryce Young's best game as a professional (448 passing yards and three touchdowns). The second-year pro from Holy Cross has now caught 11 of 15 targets for 118 yards in five games since returning from a quadriceps injury. Xavier Legette (hip) exited in the fourth quarter with an injury, so it's possible Coker has an expanded offensive role in a favorable Week 12 matchup against the 49ers.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Logs 21 yards Sunday

Coker caught three of four targets for 21 yards during Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Saints. The second-year pro from Holy Cross turned in a solid performance Sunday, especially considering quarterback Bryce Young finished with just 124 passing yards. Coker logged the third-most receiving yards on the Panthers in Week 10, trailing Tetairoa McMillan (60 yards) and Ja'Tavion Sanders (32 yards). The 24-year-old has now played in four games since returning from a quadriceps injury, catching seven of 11 targets for 66 yards. He's expected to remain Carolina's No. 3 wideout and carry minimal fantasy value in the Week 11 matchup against the Falcons.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Just one catch in Week 9

Coker caught his only target for nine yards in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Packers. Coker operated as the Panthers' No. 3 wideout during the Week 9 win but was largely uninvolved, in part due to the poor weather conditions and quarterback Bryce Young throwing for just 102 yards. Since returning from injury in the Week 7 win over the Jets, the Holy Cross product has caught four of seven targets for 45 yards. Coker should have more opportunities to contribute heading into the Week 10 matchup against the Saints.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Logs 36 yards in Week 8

Coker caught three of four targets for 26 yards during Sunday's 40-9 loss to the Bills. Coker recorded his first three catches of the season Sunday after going without a reception in the Panthers' Week 7 win over the Jets. The 23-year-old logged 39 offensive snaps and served as Carolina's third wide receiver, playing behind Tetairoa McMillan (56 snaps) and Xavier Legette (53 snaps). Expect Coker to remain involved in the Panthers' offense heading into the Week 9 matchup against the Packers.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Ready for 2025 debut

Coker (quadriceps) is active for Sunday's game against the Jets. The 24-year-old was activated from injured reserve Saturday and has been cleared to make his season debut Sunday in New York. Coker caught 32 passes for 478 yards and two touchdowns as an undrafted rookie last year and could have a sizable role in Carolina's passing game.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Expected to play

Panthers coach Dave Canales said Friday that Coker (quadriceps) will play against the Jets on Sunday, even though he's listed as questionable and remains on injured reserve, Joe Person of The Athletic reports. Coker has been a full practice participant for two weeks now, potentially allowing him to be free of restrictions for his 2025 debut. He's a candidate to start for a WR-needy team, though it's unclear what his role will be this Sunday.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Looks good in practice

Coker (quadriceps) was a full practice participant Wednesday, with Panthers coach Dave Canales saying afterward that the wideout looked great, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports. Coker was a full practice participant throughout last week but didn't get activated from injured reserve for Sunday's win over the Cowboys. He'll likely be ready this Sunday against the Jets, although Canales didn't commit to anything and said Coker will continue to be evaluated as the week progresses.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Week 7 Waiver Priority List

Coker (quadriceps) has missed the first six games of the year, but he has the chance to make his season debut in Week 7. When healthy, we could be looking at Coker as a starting option in three-receiver leagues right away, and he should be added in all leagues for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB. Coker should be the No. 2 receiver for the Panthers behind Tetairoa McMillan, and Bryce Young is expected to lean heavily on Coker as a go-to target in the passing game. He averaged 10.8 PPR points in his final four games of 2024, but I expect him to do better than that in his sophomore campaign.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Won't return Week 6

Coker (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Coker was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday and was a full participant in practice all week, but he'll have to wait until Week 7 against the Jets on Sunday, Oct. 19 for the next opportunity to make his 2025 regular-season debut. Coker's absence means Xavier Legette and Hunter Renfrow will continue to work with rookie first-rounder Tetairoa McMillan in three-wideout sets.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Logs full practice

Coker (quadriceps) was a full practice participant Wednesday. It was his first practice since Aug. 28, but the full participation suggests Coker has a chance to play this Sunday against the Cowboys. Carolina could certainly use his help, as the team is currently getting minimal production from any of the wide receivers behind No. 1 target Tetairoa McMillan. Coker split time between the slot and perimeter as a UDFA-turned-starter in 2024, presumably giving him a good feel for Dave Canales' offensive system as he prepares for a late start to his second NFL season. Coker soon figures to take playing time away from Xavier Legette and/or Hunter Renfrow.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Practice window opens

The Panthers are designating Coker (quadriceps) to return to practice from IR on Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. The transaction opens a 21-day window wherein Coker can be evaluated at practice without counting against the 53-man roster. Carolina can activate him at any point during that time, including getting him back on the field as early as Sunday versus the Cowboys. He's recovering from a quad injury suffered Aug. 28.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Stashes (WR Preview)

Coker may still be a couple of weeks away, but this Panthers offense is desperate for another wide receiver to step up alongside Tetairoa McMillan. In the last seven games of his rookie season Coker averaged 10.4 PPR FPPG. The way this position looks right now, that could be very helpful.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Week 5 Waiver Priority List

Coker (quadriceps) is eligible to come off injured reserve in Week 5 against Miami, and we hope he's healthy enough to return. The Panthers have a great upcoming schedule against the Dolphins, Cowboys and Jets in the next three games, and Coker could make an immediate impact in Fantasy and reality. He's worth adding in all leagues where available for at least 5 percent of your remaining FAB, and Bryce Young should lean on Coker as the No. 2 option in the passing game opposite Tetairoa McMillan.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Week 4 Waiver Priority List

The earliest Coker (quadriceps) can make his season debut is Week 5, but you should stash him now, especially if you have an IR spot. When healthy, Coker should be the No. 2 receiver for the Panthers behind Tetairoa McMillan, especially with Xavier Legette (hamstring) and Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle) now banged up. Bryce Young and Coker have a solid rapport, and there should be plenty of targets to help Coker be a potential starter in all three-receiver leagues. He's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: In line to suit up Thursday

Coach Dave Canales said Coker (illness) is slated to play in Thursday's preseason contest against the Steelers for "conditioning" purposes, Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer reports. Coker sat out this past Saturday's exhibition versus the Texans due to an illness, so getting some reps Thursday appears to be on the docket for the 2024 undrafted rookie. Last season, he impressed with 32 catches (on 46 targets) for 478 yards and two touchdowns in 11 regular-season games. With Tetairoa McMillan (hamstring), Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen and Brycen Tremayne all out Thursday, Coker will be in the mix for WR reps along with Hunter Renfrow, David Moore and Jimmy Horn.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Likely out due to illness

Coker (illness) is not expected to suit up for Saturday's preseason game against the Texans, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. Coker impressed during Carolina's preseason matchup against the Browns, scoring Carolina's only touchdown of the 30-10 loss while finishing with a 2-17-1 receiving line. The second-year pro is competing with Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette for reps in three-wide sets, with rookie first-rounder Tetairoa McMillan seemingly already having entrenched himself as Bryce Young's clear No. 1 wideout. It looks like Coker will have to wait until the Panthers' preseason finale against Pittsburgh on Thursday, Aug. 21 for his next chance to build exhibition momentum, however.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Returns to practice

Coker (undisclosed) participated in 7-on-7 drills Wednesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. Kaye notes that Coker "looked fast" and seems to have recovered from the soft-tissue injury that limited his participation in OTAs. He impressed as an undrafted rookie last year but will still need to fight for first-team reps during training camp, competing with Tetairoa McMillan, Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Still working on the side

Coker (undisclosed) continues to work off to the side during OTAs, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. The wide receiver was also only getting in limited work in late May during OTAs. Though he's likely behind Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette and Adam Thielen on Carolina's depth chart, Coker is definitely in the mix after catching 32 passes for 478 yards and two scores as a rookie in 2024.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Dealing with injury

Coker was spotted working off to the side of Panthers' practice Tuesday due to a soft-tissue injury, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. The severity of Coker's injury is currently unknown, but it's a positive sign that he didn't need to sit out of practice entirely. The second-year wideout from Holy Cross is expected to compete for snaps in a crowded Panthers wide receiver corps headlined by 2025 first-round pick Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette and Adam Thielen. However, Coker may fall behind the competition for a depth role if he's unable to return to the field soon.
