Texans' Kayshon Boutte: Sees season-low snap share in win
Boutte finished with two receptions for 16 yards on three targets in Sunday's 34-31 win over the Jaguars in London.
Though the newly acquired Marvin Harrison was limited to just 12 snaps in his Texans debut, his presence may have been enough for Boutte to see a notable role reduction in Week 6. Boutte took the field for 26 of the Texans' 63 snaps, with his 41.3 percent share representing a season-low rate and placing him fourth among Houston receivers. Harrison is likely to see his snaps pick up once he gains a full grasp of his new playbook, and Boutte could end up being a casualty from a playing-time standpoint.

Texans' Kayshon Boutte: Three catches in blowout win
Boutte caught three of five targets for 38 yards during Sunday's 26-3 win over the Titans.
Boutte finished tied with fellow wide receivers Xavier Hutchinson and Jaylin Noel for second on the team in targets, and his 38 receiving yards set a new season high for him. With Houston acquiring Marvin Harrison from the Cardinals on Sunday, it's unclear how the wide receiver room will be organized moving forward. On the season, Boutte has caught 12 of 18 targets for 153 yards over five contests.

Texans' Kayshon Boutte: Remains quiet in Week 4 loss
Boutte caught three of four targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 34-30 loss to the Cowboys.
With Nico Collins back from a two-game absence due to a hamstring injury, he dominated targets and left the remainder of the Houston pass catchers fighting for leftovers. Boutte ran 24 routes on C.J. Stroud's 35 dropbacks, but the summer trade pickup has yet to really make an impact with the Texans, recording nine catches for 115 yards on 13 targets after four games.

Texans' Kayshon Boutte: Two catches in Week 3 loss vs. Indy
Boutte hauled in both of his targets for 21 yards during the Texans' 19-17 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
For a second consecutive week, Boutte operated in an elevated role on offense due to the absence of Nico Collins (hamstring). Boutte's 37 offensive snaps actually led all Texans wide receivers, but he didn't see a target from C.J. Stroud until late in the fourth quarter, when the duo connected on back-to-back passes of 15 and six yards. Those two catches set the Texans up in the red zone and led to a Woody Marks one-yard rushing touchdown at the 1:50 mark. Per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston on Monday, head coach DeMeco Ryans expressed optimism that Collins would be back for Week 4 against the Cowboys. Collins' practice participation in the coming days will shed light on what Boutte's workload may look like against Dallas this Sunday.

Boutte is expected to remain in the No. 2 receiver role for Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Colts due to Nico Collins (hamstring) being ruled inactive for the contest.
While filling the same role in the Week 2 loss to the Bengals, Boutte logged a modest five targets on 47 routes run, emerging from the contest with a 3-37-0 line. The veteran pass catcher will draw a potentially more favorable matchup Sunday as the Texans aim for their first win of the season, as the Colts have surrendered an elevated 72.7 percent catch rate and 17.9 yards per reception to wide receivers.

Texans' Kayshon Boutte: Tallies three catches in Week 2 loss
Boutte caught three of five targets for 37 yards during the Texans' 20-6 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
Both Boutte and Xavier Hutchinson were lined up for larger roles offensively after Nico Collins (hamstring) was ruled out prior to Sunday's game. Boutte and Hutchinson ended with the same number of catches and receiving yards, but it was tight end Dalton Schultz who led all Texans pass catchers with a 12-140-0 line on 14 targets. Collins is expected to miss the Texans' Week 3 tilt against the Colts, so Boutte should have at least one more week serving in an elevated role, though he doesn't appear to be in line for the kind of production bump that Schultz had in Week 2.

Texans' Kayshon Boutte: Set for larger role
Boutte is in line for a larger role with Nico Collins (hamstring) ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Aaron Wilson of SportsTalk790AM reports.
Boutte was targeted on just two of 25 routes in a Week 1 loss to Buffalo, catching one pass for 21 yards. His 60 percent route share was fourth on the team, behind Collins (86 percent), TE Dalton Schultz (71 percent) and WR Xavier Hutchinson (69 percent). With Collins out of the equation, Hutchinson and Boutte are the safest bets to take WR snaps, with Jaylin Noel and Jared Wayne also having roles. The Texans also may lean into multi-TE formations after using 11 personnel on 58 percent of snaps in their season opener.

Acquired from the Patriots toward the end of training camp, Boutte is still in the process of building rapport with C.J. Stroud while learning the playbook. Boutte played behind both Nico Collins and Xavier Hutchinson against Buffalo, seeing just under 46 percent of the offensive snaps. Boutte's role could grow as the season goes along, but Hutchinson has long been a favorite of the coaching staff, and second-year WR Jaylin Noel also is in the mix for increased reps.
