  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Tosses three TDs in win

Young completed 17 of 25 passes for 199 yards with three touchdowns and one interception and added three carries for five yards in the Panthers' 30-27 win over the Cowboys on Sunday. Young's yardage total was far from scintillating, but the third-year signal-caller kept his team competitive throughout a back-and-forth affair against Dak Prescott and his high-powered offense. Young did his part with a trio of touchdown tosses, two which went to rookie wideout Tetairoa McMillan from 19 and two yards out, respectively. Young also connected with Rico Dowdle for a 36-yard strike early in the third quarter, tying Young's single-game high for TD passes this season. The 2023 first overall pick has now been under 200 passing yards in four consecutive contests, but he'll carry the momentum of a season-best 68.0 percent completion rate into a Week 7 road matchup against the Jets.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Sleeper QBs

Young only has one game this season with more than 16 Fantasy points, but he has the chance to be a low-end starter in all leagues in Week 6, given the matchup against Dallas. The Cowboys are No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and every quarterback this season has scored at least 24.3 Fantasy points against Dallas. And the past four opponents against the Cowboys have all passed for at least 283 yards and two touchdowns (Russell Wilson, Caleb Williams, Jordan Love and Justin Fields). Hopefully, Young will follow suit in Week 6.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Week 6 Waiver Priority List

Young earned a win against the Dolphins in Week 5, but he only scored 16.0 Fantasy points. This was the first game of a tremendous three-game stretch for Young against the Dolphins, Cowboys and Jets, so hopefully he'll perform better as a Fantasy quarterback in those matchups, starting with Dallas in Week 6. The Cowboys are No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and Young is worth using as a low-end starter in all leagues in that matchup. He should be added for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Helps lead comeback Sunday

Young completed 19 of 30 passes for 198 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while adding three carries for one yard in the Panthers' 27-24 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. He also lost a fumble. Carolina managed to pull off a comeback from a 17-0 deficit, but Young had an uneven day that included three sacks in addition to his two turnovers. Rico Dowdle also helped carry the offense with his 206-yard, one-touchdown effort, but Young played a key part with a seven-yard touchdown pass to Xavier Legette that kickstarted the rally late in the first half, and he added a four-yard toss to Mitchell Evans that proved to be the game-winning score. Young has thrown for under 200 yards in all but one game this season, so even with the encouraging team result for the Panthers on Sunday, he remains a somewhat shaky fantasy option even in a favorable Week 6 home matchup against the Cowboys.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Sleeper QBs

I want to have more faith in Young this week because his matchup against the Dolphins is fantastic. Miami is No. 2 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and every quarterback to face the Dolphins this season (Daniel Jones, Drake Maye, Josh Allen and Justin Fields) has scored at least 29.0 Fantasy points. But Young has scored 12.3 Fantasy points or less in three of four games, and his best outing was Week 2 at Arizona when he scored 27.3 Fantasy points thanks to 55 pass attempts. I'll take a chance on Young this week as a low-end starter in deeper leagues, and hopefully the matchup allows him to play at a high level like everyone else to face the Dolphins this year.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Adds/Streamers (QB Preview)

This is the true test of just how much risk you will accept. Young has been terrible each of the past two weeks. He has only been good for Fantasy purposes in one of four games this season. But he is playing the Dolphins. They have given up 28 or more Fantasy points to both Daniel Jones and Justin Fields. I like Young's chances of getting close to 20 and finishing the week as a top-12 QB.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Week 5 Waiver Priority List

Young has been terrible this season, with 12.3 Fantasy points or less in three of four games, including two in a row. But the only reason to consider him as a bye-week replacement in deeper leagues is his upcoming schedule, starting with Miami in Week 5. He then gets Dallas in Week 6 and the Jets in Week 7. This could be a solid stretch for Young, and Jalen Coker (quadriceps) could return to action, which would help. I'd add Young for 1 percent of your remaining FAB if you need a quarterback for the next three weeks in deeper formats.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Serviceable numbers in loss

Young completed 18 of 30 passes for 150 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions while adding one rush for three yards in the Panthers' 42-13 loss to the Patriots on Sunday. Young was pulled late for Andy Dalton in the 29-point defeat, and the third-year signal-caller was largely ineffective most of the afternoon. The highlight of his performance came very early, as Young capped off a crisp seven-play opening possession with a seven-yard touchdown pass to Tommy Tremble. The now 1-3 Panthers will try to capitalize on what should be a favorable matchup against the middling Dolphins defense in a Week 5 home clash next Sunday, but coach Dave Canales' patience with Young may be wearing a bit thin.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Sleeper QBs

Young only has one game this season with more than 11.6 Fantasy points, but I like him as a low-end starter in deep, one-quarterback leagues with his matchup against the Patriots. New England has allowed two quarterbacks this season to score at least 19.5 Fantasy points with Geno Smith and Tua Tagovailoa, and Young has the potential to be in that range as well in Week 4.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Week 4 Waiver Priority List

Young only passed for 121 yards and no touchdowns in Week 3 against Atlanta, but he also added a rushing touchdown in a 30-0 victory. He will likely have to do more in Week 4 at New England, and the Patriots have allowed two of three quarterbacks to score at least 19.5 Fantasy points this season. I like Young as a high-end No. 2 quarterback in all leagues, and he's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: QBs to Sit

Young scored 27.3 Fantasy points in Week 2 at Arizona, but he needed 55 pass attempts to get 328 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. We might have considered this an easy matchup against the Falcons prior to the season, but Atlanta has allowed just 325 passing yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions, with a lost fumble, against Baker Mayfield and J.J. McCarthy in two games. The interior of the offensive line is a mess for Carolina with right guard Robert Hunt (biceps) and center Austin Corbett (knee) out, and the Falcons should be able to keep Young in check in this matchup.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Week 3 Waiver Priority List

Young struggled in Week 1 at Jacksonville with 10.2 Fantasy points, but he rebounded in Week 2 against Arizona with 328 passing yards, three touchdowns, one interception and two rushing yards. Now, he attempted 55 passes against the Cardinals, but he has a favorable upcoming schedule against Atlanta, New England, Miami and Dallas in his next four games. Young can be a borderline starter in deeper one-quarterback leagues in those matchups, and he's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Three turnovers in Week 1 loss

Young completed 18 of 35 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in Sunday's 26-10 loss to the Jaguars. He added 40 rushing yards on five carries and also lost a fumble. The third-year QB had another rough start to an NFL campaign, and Young's only TD pass came late in the fourth quarter when the game already was out of hand. He did show flashes of chemistry with new top wideout Tetairoa McMillan (5-68-0 on nine targets), the eighth overall pick in the 2025 Draft, but otherwise there weren't many positives to take away from this performance. Young will try to clean things up on the road Week 2 against the Cardinals.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Sleeper QBs

I wish Young had a healthy Jalen Coker (quadriceps) for this game, and losing Adam Thielen via trade to Minnesota isn't ideal. But rookie Tetairoa McMillan will be Young's best weapon since coming to Carolina, and this is a great matchup against the Jaguars, who were No. 5 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks in 2024. Young finished last year on a high note by averaging 31.5 Fantasy points in his past three games against Arizona, Tampa Bay, and Atlanta, and he ran for 100 yards and three touchdowns over that span.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Adds/Streamers (QB Preview)

Young is on the other side of this potential shootout with the Jaguars and if Lawrence is rostered in your league Young is probably the top streamer available. Young has a great matchup and a new WR1 in first round pick Tetairoa McMillan. Young was much improved as a passer in the second half last year and even ran for five touchdowns in his final five games. For what it's worth, Dave Richard prefers Young to Lawrence this week.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Unproductive cameo Saturday

Young failed to complete either of his two pass attempts and rushed once for two yards in the Panthers' 20-3 preseason loss to the Texans on Saturday afternoon. Young and his first-unit teammates played only two series, and as his final line indicates, the 2023 first overall pick couldn't get on the board as a passer. He targeted Ja'Tavion Sanders and rookie sensation Tetairoa McMillan with his two throws, with the former unable to find the handle on his opportunity despite the ball hitting his hands. He also saw his first pass intercepted by Derek Stingley and returned 31 yards into Panthers territory, but the play was nullified by a defensive holding penalty. While it was an underwhelming cameo for Young to say the least, expectations remain high for him in Year 2 in Dave Canales' offense, and he also was sharp during joint practices against Houston earlier in the week. Young's preseason now is complete, as David Newton of ESPN.com reports Canales already has ruled out playing starters in Thursday night's home preseason finale against the Steelers.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Tosses TD in preseason opener

Young completed four of six passes for 58 yards and a touchdown during Friday's 30-10 preseason loss to the Browns. The third-year quarterback got the start but only handled the Panthers' first two drives before handing things over to Andy Dalton. Young made an impact in his brief time on the field however, capping his final possession with a five-yard TD strike to Jalen Coker, a score set up by a 29-yard connection with rookie wideout Tetairoa McMillan. Young showed signs of growth in 2024 after a disastrous rookie campaign, and Carolina is counting on the first overall pick in the 2023 Draft to take another big step forward with his development this season.
... See More ... See Less
  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Will play in preseason

Panthers coach Dave Canales said Friday that Young and other starters will play in the first two preseason games, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. Young made one appearance last preseason, throwing a TD pass on his lone drive but then getting off to a dreadful start in the regular season. He was better later in the year after he returned from a benching, especially over the final few weeks, setting up 2025 as essentially a make-or-break season. The good news for Young, apart from his progress late last year, is that he has a solid offensive line in front of him -- with all five starters seemingly healthy right now -- and an upgrade group of pass catchers. Rookie No. 8 overall pick Tetairoa McMillan highlights the group, but there's also optimism coming out of Panthers camp about WR Xavier Legette and TE Ja'Tavion Sanders making strides in Year 2. It sounds like we'll see most of them next Friday (Aug. 8) when the Panthers kick off their preseason with a home exhibition against the Browns.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Five total TDs in OT win

Young completed 25 of 34 passes for 251 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions and rushed five times for 24 yards and another two touchdowns in the Panthers' 44-38 overtime win over the Falcons on Sunday. Young put a fitting cap on a strong stretch run in which he finally began to look like a player befitting the top overall pick invested in him, tying a career high with his trio of touchdown passes and establishing a new personal best with five total scores. The TD tosses went to Miles Sanders (33 yards), Tommy Tremble (12 yards) and David Moore (nine yards), and Young tacked on two more end-zone trips via two- and 10-yard rushes. The second-year signal-caller finished the regular season with three straight games with multiple touchdown passes, as well as four rushing scores in his last four contests. Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports that head coach Dave Canales gave his young quarterback a significant vote of confidence during his postgame press conference, noting that "Bryce is our quarterback" and adding he was proud of how Young had successfully taken on the challenge of improving after being benched early in the campaign.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Sleeper QBs

It's been fun to watch Young improve as the season has gone on, and he scored at least 20.9 Fantasy points in two games in a row and three of his past five coming into Week 18. And he should have the chance for another strong game at Atlanta. The Falcons are No. 6 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and Andy Dalton scored 18.9 Fantasy points against Atlanta in Week 6 when Young was benched. Young will hopefully have one more solid outing to prove he deserves to be Carolina's starting quarterback in 2025.
