  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Leans on run game at Lambeau

Young completed 11 of 20 passes for 102 yards and an interception in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Packers. He added nine rushing yards on two carries. The third-year QB returned from a one-game absence due to an ankle injury but failed to produce at least one touchdown, either through the air or on the ground, for the first time in 2025. Instead, the Panthers' offense leaned heavily on Rico Dowdle out of the backfield, leaving Young to be little more than a game manager. Young will take an 11:6 TD:INT through eight starts into what should be a more favorable matchup in Week 10 against the Saints.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Cleared to play

Young (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Green Bay, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. He'll return to the starting job after missing just one game with a high-ankle sprain. Even if Young is back at full strength, he's looking at an uphill battle to post strong numbers for Week 9, playing behind an injury-riddled offensive line as a 12.5-point underdog against a top defense.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Decision on Week 9 starter to come

Coach Dave Canales said the Panthers will make a decision regarding Young (ankle) taking back the starting job for Sunday's game at Green Bay in the next few days, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. In his return to practice Wednesday, Young was a full participant, taking all the first-team reps in the process, as Canales told Newton. Canales also called Young "day-to-day" due to the high right-ankle sprain that he suffered Week 7 at the Jets, per Newton. Andy Dalton started in place of Young this past Sunday against the Bills, but he came out of that contest with a right thumb injury that didn't allow him to practice Wednesday. Depending on how Young fares Thursday and Friday, he seems poised to miss just one game as a result of the injury.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Practices in full

Young (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Joe Person of The Athletic reports. Young missed Week 8 as the result of a high right-ankle sprain sustained during Carolina's win over the Jets in Week 7, but it looks like he's already recovered enough to return to the starting lineup for Sunday's road matchup against the Panthers. That would represent an extremely quick return to action considering the severity of Young's injury, so the team could continue to monitor his reps closely at practice Thursday and Friday. Barring any setbacks, though, Young looks set to relieve veteran backup Andy Dalton (thumb), who did not practice Wednesday, after just a one-game absence.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Throwing in return to practice

Young (ankle) was seen throwing during Wednesday's practice, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. Young suffered a high right-ankle sprain during the Panthers' Week 7 win at the Jets and didn't practice last week before being deemed inactive this past Sunday against the Bills. Prior to mixing into drills on a wet field Wednesday, he also joined his teammates for a pre-practice stretch, something that he didn't do last week, per Joe Person of The Athletic. Young thus has made clear progress in his recovery, but whether or not he'll be able to supplant backup QB Andy Dalton as the Week 9 starter Sunday in Green Bay remains to be seen.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Hopeful to practice Wednesday

Panthers coach Dave Canales said Young (ankle) logged an encouraging running session Monday and that the team is hopeful he will practice in some capacity Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Canales also confirmed that Young remains day-to-day. If the third-year quarterback is able to get back on the field as at least a limited participant Wednesday, it will lend credence to the notion that he could retake the field Week 9 on the road against Green Bay. Andy Dalton drew the start during Carolina's blowout 40-9 loss to the Bills in Week 8, with Young having suffered a high-ankle sprain Week 7, but the veteran signal-caller was unable to get anything going under center. High-ankle sprains typically require multi-week absences to heal, but the Panthers have yet to rule Young out versus the Packers.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Officially listed as doubtful

Young (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against Buffalo. Young didn't practice at all this week, after making an early exit from last Sunday's win over the Jets. Backup quarterback Andy Dalton is expected to start Week 8, and while it won't be surprising if he makes additional starts, the Panthers are still calling Young day-to-day with a high-ankle sprain.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Misses practice, still day-to-day

Young (ankle) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. Per Newton, a Panthers team spokesperson said Thursday that Young remains day-to-day and has displayed some progress since suffering a right high-ankle sprain in this past Sunday's 13-6 win over the Jets. That said, Young has yet to practice this week and doesn't seem to be trending toward playing in this Sunday's matchup with the Bills. Andy Dalton has taken all of the reps with the first-team offense Wednesday and Thursday and will likely be named the Panthers' Week 8 starting quarterback following Friday's practice.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Officially DNP to begin week

Young (ankle) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. According to Joe Person of The Athletic, Young attended Carolina's first session of Week 8 prep in uniform and without a walking boot for the high-ankle sprain that he suffered this past Sunday at the Jets. Coach Dave Canales told Sheena Quick of Fox Sports Radio 1340 after practice Wednesday that the team isn't ruling out Young for Sunday's game agains the Bills, instead calling the third-year quarterback "day-to-day." Typically, such an injury results in a multi-week absence, but it appears both Young and backup QB Andy Dalton remain in the mix to start Week 8.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Diagnosed with high-ankle sprain

Young suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's win over the Jets and is expected to miss at least a Week 8 contest against the Bills, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Pelissero added that Young's sprain typically requires a recovery timeline of 2-to-4 weeks, and Andy Dalton is expected to start against Buffalo. Young was injured on a third-quarter sack Sunday, though X-rays did come back negative. Young being sidelined shouldn't significantly impact the fantasy outlook of the Panthers' pass catchers, as Dalton is a reliable veteran backup.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Ruled out of Sunday's game

Young (ankle) won't return to Sunday's game at the Jets, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Before he departed in the second half, Young completed 15 of 25 passes for 138 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions, had two carries for 10 yards and recovered his own fumble. Andy Dalton will step in for Young for the remainder of Sunday's contest.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Hurts ankle Sunday

Young was forced out of Sunday's game against the Jets with an ankle injury, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Prior to his exit from the contest, Young completed 15 of his 25 passing attempts for 138 yards and a TD and carried twice for 10 yards. With Young injured, Andy Dalton is in at QB for the Panthers.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Tosses three TDs in win

Young completed 17 of 25 passes for 199 yards with three touchdowns and one interception and added three carries for five yards in the Panthers' 30-27 win over the Cowboys on Sunday. Young's yardage total was far from scintillating, but the third-year signal-caller kept his team competitive throughout a back-and-forth affair against Dak Prescott and his high-powered offense. Young did his part with a trio of touchdown tosses, two which went to rookie wideout Tetairoa McMillan from 19 and two yards out, respectively. Young also connected with Rico Dowdle for a 36-yard strike early in the third quarter, tying Young's single-game high for TD passes this season. The 2023 first overall pick has now been under 200 passing yards in four consecutive contests, but he'll carry the momentum of a season-best 68.0 percent completion rate into a Week 7 road matchup against the Jets.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Sleeper QBs

Young only has one game this season with more than 16 Fantasy points, but he has the chance to be a low-end starter in all leagues in Week 6, given the matchup against Dallas. The Cowboys are No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and every quarterback this season has scored at least 24.3 Fantasy points against Dallas. And the past four opponents against the Cowboys have all passed for at least 283 yards and two touchdowns (Russell Wilson, Caleb Williams, Jordan Love and Justin Fields). Hopefully, Young will follow suit in Week 6.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Week 6 Waiver Priority List

Young earned a win against the Dolphins in Week 5, but he only scored 16.0 Fantasy points. This was the first game of a tremendous three-game stretch for Young against the Dolphins, Cowboys and Jets, so hopefully he'll perform better as a Fantasy quarterback in those matchups, starting with Dallas in Week 6. The Cowboys are No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and Young is worth using as a low-end starter in all leagues in that matchup. He should be added for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Sleeper QBs

I want to have more faith in Young this week because his matchup against the Dolphins is fantastic. Miami is No. 2 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and every quarterback to face the Dolphins this season (Daniel Jones, Drake Maye, Josh Allen and Justin Fields) has scored at least 29.0 Fantasy points. But Young has scored 12.3 Fantasy points or less in three of four games, and his best outing was Week 2 at Arizona when he scored 27.3 Fantasy points thanks to 55 pass attempts. I'll take a chance on Young this week as a low-end starter in deeper leagues, and hopefully the matchup allows him to play at a high level like everyone else to face the Dolphins this year.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Adds/Streamers (QB Preview)

This is the true test of just how much risk you will accept. Young has been terrible each of the past two weeks. He has only been good for Fantasy purposes in one of four games this season. But he is playing the Dolphins. They have given up 28 or more Fantasy points to both Daniel Jones and Justin Fields. I like Young's chances of getting close to 20 and finishing the week as a top-12 QB.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Week 5 Waiver Priority List

Young has been terrible this season, with 12.3 Fantasy points or less in three of four games, including two in a row. But the only reason to consider him as a bye-week replacement in deeper leagues is his upcoming schedule, starting with Miami in Week 5. He then gets Dallas in Week 6 and the Jets in Week 7. This could be a solid stretch for Young, and Jalen Coker (quadriceps) could return to action, which would help. I'd add Young for 1 percent of your remaining FAB if you need a quarterback for the next three weeks in deeper formats.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Serviceable numbers in loss

Young completed 18 of 30 passes for 150 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions while adding one rush for three yards in the Panthers' 42-13 loss to the Patriots on Sunday. Young was pulled late for Andy Dalton in the 29-point defeat, and the third-year signal-caller was largely ineffective most of the afternoon. The highlight of his performance came very early, as Young capped off a crisp seven-play opening possession with a seven-yard touchdown pass to Tommy Tremble. The now 1-3 Panthers will try to capitalize on what should be a favorable matchup against the middling Dolphins defense in a Week 5 home clash next Sunday, but coach Dave Canales' patience with Young may be wearing a bit thin.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Week 4 Waiver Priority List

Young only passed for 121 yards and no touchdowns in Week 3 against Atlanta, but he also added a rushing touchdown in a 30-0 victory. He will likely have to do more in Week 4 at New England, and the Patriots have allowed two of three quarterbacks to score at least 19.5 Fantasy points this season. I like Young as a high-end No. 2 quarterback in all leagues, and he's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.
