  • Texans' Will Anderson: Reaches double-digit sacks

Anderson had six tackles (two for loss), including 2.5 sacks, and defensed one pass in Thursday's 23-16 win over Buffalo in Week 12. The fingerprints of Houston's defense were all over this win, and Anderson was instrumental. The 2.5 sacks were a season high, gave him at least one sack in six straight games and moved him to 10.5 for the season, marking his second consecutive year with double-digit sacks. Anderson ranks fourth in the league in that category, a half-sack behind his teammate, Danielle Hunter, who recorded 2.0 sacks himself Thursday.

  • Texans' Will Anderson: Good to go against Buffalo

Anderson (ankle) does not carry an injury designation into Thursday's game against the Bills. Anderson was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, which was good enough for him to shed an injury tag into Thursday night's game. The third-year pro is enjoying a productive 2025 campaign, accumulating 30 tackles (20 solo), including 8.0 sacks, two pass defenses, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown) across 10 regular-season games.

  • Texans' Will Anderson: Nursing ankle injury

Houston listed Anderson (ankle) as a limited practice participant on Monday's estimated report. Anderson played a key role during the Texans' 16-13 win over the Titans on Sunday, when he strip-sacked Cam Ward and recovered the fumble he caused early in the fourth quarter, leading to a 43-yard field goal from Matthew Wright four plays later. Anderson appears to have tweaked his ankle during Sunday's game, and his practice participation over the next two days will indicate his chances of suiting up against the Bills on Thursday.

  • Texans' Will Anderson: Forces fumble, sets up score

Anderson had two tackles, including 1.0 sacks, one pass defensed and one forced fumble in Sunday's 36-29 win over the Jaguars in Week 10. Anderson's sack, which extended his streak in that category to four consecutive games, came on the game's final play. It also forced a fumble that teammate Sheldon Rankins scooped and returned 32 yards for a touchdown. Anderson is up to 7.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery through nine games.

Anderson (quadriceps) didn't participate in Houston's practice Wednesday. Anderson popped up on the injury report Wednesday, though it's currently unclear how he injured his quadriceps. The 2023 first-round pick has recorded 24 tackles (16 solo), including 6.0 sacks, across eight outings but is now in danger of missing his first game of the campaign if he can't suit up for Sunday's game versus Jacksonville.

Anderson recorded two tackles (zero solo) in the Texans' win over the Titans on Sunday. Anderson started the season with 1.0 sacks in three straight games, but his streak snapped against Tennessee, as the Titans were unable to sustain any offense, which limited Anderson to a season-low 38 defensive snaps. Anderson (chest) was a full participant during Thursday's practice session. Anderson (chest) was limited during practice Wednesday. Anderson played his typical percentage of snaps in Sunday's loss to the Packers, but it appears the 2023 first-round selection may have suffered a chest injury in the process. An absence Sunday against the Colts for the Alabama product would be a significant blow, so his status for Thursday and Friday will be worth monitoring.
