    Murray (undisclosed) reverted to injured reserve with the Bears on Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log. Murray was waived with an injury designation Tuesday after suffering an undisclosed injury during training camp. The offensive lineman is now set to miss the entirety of the 2025 campaign while on IR, unless he's able to reach an injury settlement with Chicago.

Murray is dealing with an apparent undisclosed injury, which will sideline him for Sunday's matchup with the Bills. The offensive lineman will look to return to the field for the team's preseason finale in Kansas City on Friday.

  • Bears' Bill Murray: Lands on IR with pectoral injury

    The Bears placed Murray (pectoral) on injured reserve Tuesday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports. Murray suffered a pectoral injury during the Bears' 18-15 loss to the Commanders on Sunday. The 27-year-old offensive lineman will now be forced to miss at least the next four regular-season games and the earliest he can return is Week 13 against the Lions on Nov. 28. Murray entered Sunday's game at left guard for starter Teven Jenkins (knee), and if the latter can't play against the Cardinals on Sunday, Nov. 3, Nate Davis figures to be the next man up at the position.

    Murray, who's on the Patriots' practice squad, was at practice Thursday, indicating his removal from the reserve/COVID-19 list, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Murray was placed on the list due to either testing positive for the virus, or coming into close contact with someone who did. Now back on the field, he'll continue to work his way for a chance at a 53-man roster spot this season.
