  • Ravens' Tyler Huntley: Replaces Rush in loss

Huntley completed 10 of 15 passes for 68 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Rams. He added three rushes for 39 yards. Huntley took over for the benched Cooper Rush early in the fourth quarter and led a pair of lengthy drives, each of which stalled deep in Rams territory. While he was far from efficient, Huntley took care of the ball and also showcased some mobility, both of which could give him an advantage to serve as Lamar Jackson's (hamstring) backup in Week 8.

  • Ravens' Tyler Huntley: Elevated for Week 6

The Ravens elevated Huntley from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday. With Lamar Jackson (hamstring) ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Huntley will be on the active roster for a second-straight week to serve as the Ravens' backup quarterback behind Cooper Rush. Huntley appeared in five regular-season games for the Dolphins in 2024, when he completed 64.7 percent of his passes for 829 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions while adding 26 carries for 135 yards and two scores.

  • Tyler Huntley: Back to practice squad

Huntley reverted to Baltimore's practice squad Monday. Huntley was elevated to the active roster to back up Cooper Rush in the absence of Lamar Jackson (hamstring) for Sunday's loss to the Texans. He was active but did not take any snaps.

  • Ravens' Tyler Huntley: Elevated from practice squad

The Ravens elevated Huntley from the practice squad Saturday. With Lamar Jackson (hamstring) ruled out, Huntley will operate as the Ravens' QB2 behind Cooper Rush on Sunday against Houston.

  • Tyler Huntley: Lands on Baltimore's practice squad

The Ravens are signing Huntley to the practice squad Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Huntley was cut by Cleveland on Sunday and now returns to a familiar situation as an emergency quarterback for the Ravens, for whom he handled a depth role from 2020-2023. Cooper Rush has operated as the top backup to Lamar Jackson throughout the offseason, but Huntley competing for that role as the season progresses wouldn't be inconceivable.

  • Tyler Huntley: Cut loose by Browns

Huntley was let go by Cleveland on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Huntley is the odd man out in the Browns' crowded QB room. The 27-year-old backup landed with Cleveland in early August as the team sorted through its options at signal-callers this preseason, joining at a time when both Kenny Pickett (hamstring) and third-round pick Dillon Gabriel were sidelined by injuries. Huntley then filled in as the backup quarterback during two preseason games -- once behind Gabriel and once more behind fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders. Joe Flacco since has been named Cleveland's starting QB, and, while the No. 2 quarterback spot still is up in the air, this job likely will go to either Pickett or Gabriel. Huntley has extensive experience as a backup quarterback who's filled in for injured starters over the past few years, including his time in Baltimore from 2021-2023 and in Miami last season. He'll look to catch on in a similar role elsewhere ahead of the 2025 campaign.

  • Browns' Tyler Huntley: Finishes up Saturday

Huntley completed 10 of 13 passes for 71 yards in Saturday's preseason win over the Eagles. For the second straight preseason game, Huntley backed up one of the Browns' rookie quarterbacks. Last week against Carolina, he entered following Shedeur Sanders (oblique), and then on Saturday, Huntley played the second half after rookie Dillon Gabriel, who overcome a hamstring injury during the week to start. That's all one needs to know regarding Huntley's chances of claiming a roster spot. Injuries have shaped Cleveland's quarterback competition this summer, but conventional wisdom suggests Joe Flacco, who is not injured, will start Week 1 of the regular season with Kenny Pickett (hamstring) the main backup and Gabriel or Sanders the third QB in the room.

  • Browns' Tyler Huntley: Available to play Friday

Huntley is expected to back up Shedeur Sanders in the first preseason game against Carolina on Friday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports. Huntley signed with Cleveland on Monday and is now expected to play in their preseason opener just four days later. Along with Shedeur Sanders, he is the only available quarterback with Kenny Pickett (hamstring), Dillon Gabriel (hamstring) and Joe Flacco (resting) not playing. The 27-year-old journeyman is now on his fifth team after spending last year in Miami, where he started five games.

  • Browns' Tyler Huntley: Another QB lands in Cleveland

Huntley signed with the Browns on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The signing comes as Kenny Pickett (hamstring), Dillon Gabriel (hamstring) and Shedeur Sanders (shoulder) are all dealing with injuries, per Schefter. In 2024, Huntley spent time with the Browns and appeared in five games with the Dolphins, recording 829 passing yards and three touchdowns with three interceptions. The quarterback would likely need a long-term injury to one or more of the Browns' current QBs to have a chance to stick with the team, as Joe Flacco appears to be the leader in the clubhouse for the starting role, and Gabriel and Sanders were both selected by Cleveland in the 2025 Draft.

  • Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Set to start Sunday

With Tua Tagovailoa (hip) inactive, Huntley is slated to start Sunday's regular-season finale against the Jets. While filling in for Tagovailoa in Miami's 20-3 win over the Browns in Week 17, Huntley completed 22 of his 26 pass attempts for 225 yards and a touchdown in addition to rushing seven times for 52 yards and another score. With Tagovailoa sidelined once again, Huntley will continue to helm the offense of the 8-8 Dolphins, who need a win (combined with a Denver loss) in order to qualify for a playoff spot. With that in mind, Huntley offers a lineup option for fantasy managers dealing with QB injuries or signal-callers resting in Week 18.

  • Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Trending toward another start

Head coach Mike McDaniel said Wednesday that the Dolphins are preparing as though Huntley will start Sunday against the Jets rather than Tua Tagovailoa (hip), Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports. Wolfe notes that Tagovailoa is slated to be a limited participant in practice Wednesday, and a decision on Miami's starting quarterback for Sunday likely won't be made until the end of the week. That said, Huntley looks to be trending toward another start, on the heels of helming the Dolphins' 20-3 win over the Browns this past weekend. He turned in perhaps the finest performance of his five-year career in Week 17, completing 22 of 26 pass attempts for 225 yards, one touchdown and no interception while adding 52 yards and another score on seven carries.

  • Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Week 18 Waiver Priority List

Keep an eye on what happens with Tua Tagovailoa (hip) in Week 18, and if he's out again, then Huntley could be an option in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues at the Jets. Huntley was a nice surprise in Week 17 at Cleveland with 225 passing yards and a touchdown and 52 rushing yards and a touchdown for 26.2 Fantasy points. The Jets have struggled with rushing quarterbacks all season, and three quarterbacks in the past four games have scored at least 22.7 Fantasy points.

  • Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Will get most practice reps Week 18

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Huntley will get more practice reps than Tua Tagovailoa (hip) this week, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Though Tagovailoa hasn't been ruled out for Week 18, McDaniel said the team is in a "gray area" regarding the star quarterback due to his hip injury, per Jackson. With Huntley slated to get most of the reps in practice this week, it appears he has a better chance than Tagovailoa of starting against the Jets on Sunday in a game the Dolphins must win in order to have any chance of making the postseason. Huntley led the team to a victory Sunday versus the Browns, performing well with 225 passing yards and a touchdown while completing 22 of 26 attempts and adding 52 yards and another score on the ground.

  • Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Could start, with Tua doubtful

Huntley is expected to start Sunday's game against the Browns after the Dolphins downgraded Tua Tagovailoa (hip) from questionable to doubtful, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN reports. Unless Tagovailoa shows dramatic improvement leading up to Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff, he looks as though he'll be sidelined for the first time since Week 7. In such a scenario, Huntley would be in line for his fourth start of the season, with Skylar Thompson serving as his backup. While Huntley thus represents a possible lineup option for fantasy managers who are still playing in Week 17, his presence under center would amount to a downgrade to all of Miami's pass catchers. In his previous three starts, Huntley accounted for 67 rushing yards and a score on the ground but struggled as a passer, throwing one touchdown against one interception while completing 59.1 percent of his throws for 5.7 yards per attempt.

  • Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Moves up depth chart

Huntley will serve as the Dolphins' No. 2 quarterback against the Jets on Sunday, Alain Poupart of SI.com reports. Huntley served as Miami's starting quarterback when Tua Tagovailoa missed time due to a concussion earlier this season. However, the Utah product suffered a shoulder injury in his final start that led to an IR stint and resulted in Skylar Thompson moving into the backup role. Despite being healthy for a Thanksgiving Day matchup, Huntley was inactive, but he and Thompson are apparently set to swap roles in Week 14.

  • Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Emergency QB against Packers

Huntley (coach's decision) is inactive but will serve as the Dolphins' emergency quarterback against the Packers on Thursday. Huntley was activated off injured reserve earlier Thursday after missing the Dolphins' last five games due to a right shoulder injury. He will only see the field if Tua Tagovailoa and Skylar Thompson are injured during Thursday's game.

  • Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Activated off IR

The Dolphins activated Huntley (shoulder) off injured reserve Thursday. Huntley injured his right shoulder during the Dolphins' Week 7 loss to the Colts, and he was placed on injured reserve Oct. 25. It's unclear whether Huntley or Skylar Thompson will serve as Miami's backup quarterback behind Tua Tagovailoa for Thursday's game against the Packers.

  • Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Hurts shoulder Sunday

Huntley was forced out of Sunday's game against the Colts with a right shoulder injury. Before sustaining his injury, Huntley completed seven of his 13 passing attempts for 87 yards and a TD and logged five carries for 20 yards. In his absence, Tim Boyle is in at QB for the Dolphins, with Skylar Thompson serving as the team's emergency third quarterback.

  • Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Likely getting another start

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Monday he would "guess to forecast" that Huntley will start Week 7 against the Colts even if Skylar Thompson (ribs) returns to full health, Alain Poupart of SI.com reports. Miami managed to scrape to a 15-10 win over the Patriots with Huntley under center Week 5, but he completed just 18 of 31 passes for 194 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. Huntley's dual-threat capabilities also weren't much of a factor, as he rushed only three times for seven yards. Still, Huntley has looked like the Dolphins' most capable quarterback option with Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) not eligible to come off IR until Week 8. With the benefit of a bye to continue improving his grasp on the offensive system, Huntley will look to command a more productive offense on the road in Indianapolis on Sunday, Oct. 20.

  • Dolphins' Tyler Huntley: Pedestrian numbers in win

Huntley completed 18 of 31 passes for 194 yards with no touchdowns and one interception and rushed three times for seven yards in the Dolphins' 15-10 win over the Patriots on Sunday. Huntley put together another lackluster performance overall, and unlike in a Monday night loss to the Titans six days earlier, he couldn't complement his passing production with his legs. However, Huntley did look smoother when dropping back, more than doubling the 96 passing yards he'd mustered versus Tennessee and connecting with the trio of Tyreek Hill, Jonnu Smith and Jaylen Waddle on 15 occasions. Given Miami was able to pull off the road win, Huntley figures to retain the starting job for a Week 7 road matchup against the Colts on Sunday, Oct. 20 following a Week 6 bye, the final game before Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is eligible to come off injured reserve.
