  • Eagles' Kenyon Green: Joins active roster

The Eagles signed Green from their practice squad to the active roster Monday, Howard Balzer of USA Today reports. Green failed to make the Eagles' initial 53-man roster in late August after being traded to Philadelphia in March, but he's since been added ahead of the team's regular-season opener. The 2022 first-round pick provides depth at guard as Landon Dickerson (knee) recovers from a meniscus injury.

  • Kenyon Green: Won't make final roster

Philadelphia waived Green on Monday, Cayden Steele of NJ.com reports. Green had a lackluster training camp plagued by injury after being acquired from Houston via trade back in March, and now he's in line to become a free agent. He'll have to look for his next opportunity with a different team.

  • Eagles' Kenyon Green: Back in action

Green played 49 snaps in Friday's 19-17 preseason win over the Jets. Green had been sidelined by a shoulder injury since Aug. 9 but was able to get back on the field for the Eagles' preseason finale. He should serve as guard depth to begin the regular season.

  • Eagles' Kenyon Green: Doesn't practice Saturday

Green did not participate in Saturday's training camp practice due to a shoulder injury, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports. Green appeared to suffer a wrist injury during the Eagles' 34-27 preseason win over the Bengals on Thursday, but further tests have revealed that the 2022 first-rounder is working through a shoulder injury. Green played 24 snaps (16 on offense, eight on special teams) during Thursday's game and is competing for a spot on the 53-man roster as a backup guard on the offensive line. A return to practice would put Green in a good spot to suit up against the Browns on Saturday, Aug. 16.

Green (knee) didn't participate in Phildalphia's training camp session Wednesday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Green is hurt once again after having been limited to just 12 regular-season games last season due to a shoulder injury. The 24-year-old was traded to the Eagles from the Texans back in March and will back up Landon Dickerson (knee) at left guard once he's healthy.

  • Texans' Kenyon Green: Set to be placed on IR

Green (shoulder) is expected to be placed on injured reserve in the near future, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Green suffered a separated shoulder in Thursday's 21-13 loss to the Jets, which will sideline him for the foreseeable future. The offensive guard does have a chance at making a return late in the season depending on how well he progresses in rehab, according to Rapoport. In the meantime, Kendrick Green will likely take over at left guard for Houston.

  • Texans' Kenyon Green: Participating in OTAs

Green (shoulder) is a full participant at the Texans' OTAs, Coty Davis of SI.com reports. Green's 2023 season came to a premature end after a shoulder injury landed him on injured reserve during training camp. Prior to that, he started 14 of 15 games as a rookie. All in all, he allowed 47 pressures, 31 hurries, 12 quarterback hits and five sacks at left guard. The Texas A&M product is expected to compete for the chance to reclaim his role as one of Houston's starting offensive linemen.

  • Texans' Kenyon Green: Status for training camp TBD

Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said Wednesday that Green's (knee) status for training camp remains to be determined following the offensive lineman's offseason knee surgery, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports. Green underwent an arthroscopic procedure following the 2022 campaign, but he was expected to make a full recovery in advance of the team's offseason program. However, the 2022 first-round pick remains in the midst of the rehab process during mandatory minicamp and could remain sidelined to start training camp.
